There is only one chief judge of the federal high court and that office is situated in Abuja. He assigns cases to any judicial division in any part of the country. There is a difference between state high courts and the federal high court. For every matter within the jurisdiction of the FHC, it is filed in Abuja and then assigned at the discretion of the CJ.

I just knew this ignorant statement would show up somewhere! The Federal High court is one with judicial divisions in all states for administrative purposes. Matters are filed in the FHC HQ and then the CJ of the FHC assigns the matter to any court/judicial division at his discretion.

Secondly it is not the constitutional right or function of the NASS to take over any state House of Assembly just because! There are constitutional bases for such interference and the court when invited, must adjudicate over such issues.
