Vivly: One silly girl told me that she stopped having sex cuz she is trying to revirginize herself. What ever that means.Well, this is some new word lol Mankind and lust sha. . . |
pazienza: What's up with the colonial dressing that doesn't even suit our hot environment, can't they be a little bit more innovative and get a better attire?I knew someone would mention this. So many threads have been created about this in the past. As much as separation of powers is preached, it appears more about a theoretical practice especially when it concerns this funding of a thing. Inasmuch as this thread is about SC, we see what happens in some states and the apparent conflict of interests - how much more for the apex? @OP, I get you especially the last sentence in that reply to my last post. Just for the records, the EXECUTIVE, LEGISLATURE AND JUDICIARY make up our 3 arms ![]() |
Front page material. It appears people don't sit down, think and reflect and not necessarily rush into conclusions. NL is an apt reference. Media seem to be smarter than the police when they report incidents. Not saying that police can't deceive or hide from us if we leave it totally to them but when we read from the media, we should also ANALYZE for propaganda itself is a form of war. |
@OP Good one but if any one reads your post, s/he could think the SUPREME COURT is the 3rd arm of government instead of the JUDICIARY. Perhaps, you could give some info about the Judiciary then focus on how the supreme court fits into the whole stuff. That way, there's a good understanding of the arm ![]() |

Perhaps, government thinks by acceding to ASUU’s demands, other labour unions might toe the same path at the slightest excuse.ASUU didn't go on strike on the 'slightest excuse'; we need to.understand the timeline of this agreement and steps pressure groups or unions take before taking the ultimate decision of strike. If it was by this logic, the Minisiter of Health would have taken the back seat when health workers went on strike, instead he quickly resolved it. This stuff is an agreement, an agreement in which GEJ was actually part of the government too. Funny, the Minister of Education can't resolve this stuff alone but both parties did AGREE on ways to implement the demands of ASUU, hence we Madam NOI's 'go ahead' as it concerns money and planning. Well, ASUU knows the kind of government we have, they can easily renege on agreements; the more reason why those who say lecturers should 'manage', go back to classes continue with the negotiation are wrong - government would not even give them an arm. Truth is, we don't hold our leaders responsible - they're not really accountable to us. That's why we can continue shuffering and shmiling like 200 million mumus for people who are being taken care of with public resources. |
See nepotism sha ^^^, ![]() Inasmuch as some are trying to beef the OP and rightly so, I observe that deep down, some things ought to be ignored. I've been on NL before the OP but what's the fuss His FP today, will get to Chapter 2 tomorrow so I'm trying hard to check what the grouse is, FP or the 'popularity' of the OP? I smell ![]() Some people take this e-life to another level sha. smh @OP I saw the pictures of Web TV Ng on FB, they had nice pics. May we see more positive contributions from NLs anonymously and otherwise! |
@naptu2 Thanks. I can't believe it took 2 pages to get facts and not speculations! Chai, it isn't a must to comment, Nigerians seem to peddle thoughts/conspiracy theories on their head simply because it's easy to put there. One is well aware it occurred during Gen YG's regime and our foreign policy then too was African when we were playing BBA. Ironically, this change to LHD is found on history books, 'know Nigeria' materials etc. Thanks again naptu, Nigerians need to really know their country before jumping into things!!! |
Someone has suggested using the toe especially when you want to sleep. That way, it's not easy to guess ![]() |
That this is coming from Yahoo, to say the least is disappointing. However, am not surprised. Islam seems to be the scapegoat yet, it's ironical all attempts to label some ridiculous actions as ISLAMIC actually have no basis in the religion. Mehn, ignorance is bliss. If a religion so much condemns zina (fornication & adultery) WOH is intimate jeehard? Mschewww #softsell news |
As in, the stuff makes me smh. It's even STRATEGIC the Nigerian 'won' it - there's a consistent attempt to dilute the tenets of Islam in the name of modernity bla bla bla. No be today e start and it makes one recall the point of "seeking knowledge" as a Muslim throughout one's lifetime. There are even some Muslim organizations trying to justify the stuff. |

The viewing centre was created by the governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan. He is an ArsenalNigerians like good things - the big teams are the Arsenal etc. We pretty much like success. Wjilst I can understand why he supports Leicester, since that's his home town, a typical Lagosian would've supported NPA/Julius Berger some years ago no matter their status in the league. The comedian who anchored the programme took quite a shine to me…..Lol Dem dey use you do mugu experiment. The quote by the comedian made me remember Keshi's "white dude" to the MAlawian coach and he insists it's no racism! Anxious to appear as inconspicuous as possible I tried to sneak past, not drawing too much attention to myself, convinced I was about to be arrested. However quite the opposite. We were greeted with cheers of “Good morning sir, well done, how far?”.This is the main point for me here! The complex thingy!!! Nigerians can be so good to foreigners and you wonder why we're hostile to ourselves. This happens daily - we want to impress any foreigner to the detriment of our people. Very annoying. It's full of deception!!! |
In Nigeria, people are even analysts via various headlines they've read in the past!!! |
Ngokafor: it baffles me how some men can be so comfortable taking a piss at highways, street corners and all....is it that there are no conveniences wherever they are coming from or just a bad habit?......i always find myself turning away hurriedly as soon as i see such men unzipping, ironically seeming more embarrased than them!......some will even have a smug look on their face...so so wrong abeg!Have they no shame Even some women do this standing - disgusting. Yuck!!! One should not forget we are inconvenienced by lack of sufficient number of conveniences in this country but I personally don't still see it as an excuse! |
“When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier.” ~ Roy Disney |
#Self-confidence "You're beautiful, no matter what they say cos words can('t) bring you down" Self-discovery is another thing - whilst we can't just play deaf to what everyone does, we need to define ourselves, our values and what we stand for. That way, you build a name, a brand that has a reputation for numerous adjectives depending on the way such brand is built! |
Methinks this is the fear of the 'known unknown'. Was beginning to nod my head to ibkaye's keyboard rhythms till she was giving you escapist routes - you just need to wait till then. You'd need a counsellor or medical expert to assuage your fears and give you advise on how best to handle yourself. Sometimes, what you just need is some people talking to you and you'd be swayed in a jiffy - this just kinda remind me of a lady who actually knew about PP depression and was irritated by her own baby until she finally let out to her husband who took her to the doctor and let her close friend know about it. As for your sis, the best for you is to learn from the driver's experience this time, don't put the driver on the passenger's seat ![]() Perhaps, she may even be your 'tourist guide' when your time to visit the children's 'den' comes by ![]() |

^^^ Even when pressed, there's still control - that's why we're adults!!! The big difference between us and kids is control. You can never be to hurry to do the right things - I remember when I was young, when it comes to toilet etiquette, leave the place the way you met it and way you'd love to meet it. These etiquettes stem from home training. |
^^^^ Don't let's go down this route again. I see those who insult others as having a personal weakness. Nonetheless, this issue has been discussed severally on NL and GEJ isn't the only victim - he even has an internet award (not FB ) for being the World's Most Cursed President. In summary, some abuses against GEJ are unworthy and some are borne out of bewilderment by his actions. Ultimately, there are certain (n)etiquettes or level of public decorum some peeps need to have in discussing issues that have personalities involved. |
At the risk of making this a formula one (F1) thread with comments from Vettel, Alonso et al, I think this thread has become a braggadocio one. What speed can you CONFORTABLY maintain ![]() In Nigeria, where speed limits even in local streets aren't followed, it's pretty difficult to achieve very high speeds without disastrous consequences or maybe such person had drank "kai kai". |
2legit2qwt: I'm totally against cohabitation. It's the reason why we have so many children in single-parent families. Men don't wanna commit to their partners, women are also trying to keep their options open and all of these are leading to societal decay and degrading values. Broken families everywhere, children lacking in role models and big reason why our society is breaking down by the daySpot on. We're having so many values being changed in the name of 21st century, independence and some other warped ideologies. The family system is gradually dying in the name of what Yorubas call "olaju" (opening your eyes). Unfortunately, we're not opening it like the Lion, who had a wide perspective when he sees! |
Remember this topic, Group Solicits 10 Years Jail Term For Abusing The National Flag ![]() This headline makes me remember this and I think they should start from here (no partisanship ) :https://www.thescoopng.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/BDXoQFjCEAAKkoB.jpg https://www.indepthnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/First-Lady-Patience-Jonathan-600x330.jpg |
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has proposed to the National Assembly an amendment to the Ordinance Act in order to allow stiffer penalties, including jail terms for abusers of Nigeria's national symbols.Source |
I remember when this kinda discussion was on NL some years ago concerning Adaura Achumba - I really don't care about 'forming' et al, my only concern is that there's no sense in not being able to convey the message to listeners thus creating a communication gap. Presently, there's this guy I come across on City 105.1FM, I don't know his name yet but mehnnnn, I go just dey vex when I hear am. Definitely, good English must be spoken but if we want to hear foreigners speak, we know where to get them. These guys are some examples that 'connect' - Femi (Cool FM) & Dieko Gilbert (i FM). There are also some other examples. I do notice some others have this accent thingy but it's not necessarily fake. Kemistry faced this issue from her days on Brila FM to Rhythm FM where she had to tell a listener her life history so he'd know it was no faking. All the , Dan Foster serves as a case study - ultimately, the people want to connect with you. Speaking bad English isn't the same as a Naija accent duh!!! |

wesley80: If i walk in and see the toilet seat closed I usually turn around and consider my options cos that seems to be the coded sign that "something" has refused to go away! Who bothers to close a toilet seat? Didnt you just read that just the toilet seat weighs over a tonne how much more the whole cover!^^^ Healthy Living with Dr Ketch |
The problem with this is that, in Nigeria, our network providers lie to us about data services hence we have one more problem with this research - people here can easily blame the network!!! |
This is an interesting news for Nat Geo Wild followers: The small Canadian town of Churchill, Manitoba is known as the polar bear capital of the world, and for good reason. The area is home to both 900 or so year-round human residents and the western Hudson Bay polar bear population, and sometimes, inevitably, the twain shall meet. |
