01emek:Conceiving is not a function of age but puberty. It's also not a function of frequency as some can try a thousand times whilst others try once. Only a mother knows the father of her children. The number of months of her pregnancy is an indication. Anyway, life is all about Karma - be ready to face the consequences of your action(s). |
jtchukwu:There's no slapping anywhere - the police is charged with the internal security of the nation. Had they done their job well, this mess wouldn't have been as big as it is right now. |
Eleja One High School, Iganmu ![]() There are so many high schools in Nigeria; FG/missionary schools used to be the standard until we bastardized everything |
I was tempted to write that our politicians make a mockery of governance (which is quite true anyway) but in giving the 'defendant' the benefit of doubt, sometimes, the individual involved may not be aware of this. It is usually 'supporters', sycophants et al that do this. All the same, if we have leaders with character, their 'supporters' would know the kind of stunts to pull (or not). Just look at the attempt to draw people's religious sentiment ![]() If you go to Umuahia today, you would see the streets 'decorated' with different posters of Orji; personally, I find it disgusting. When you have a state where the streets have so much billboards and posters about a 'performing governor' for doing his/her constitutional duty, then you know where the empty barrels are. If he does not want such, he can issue a warning to people to desist from doing things like this on his behalf just as BRF warned some time ago here: http://enownow.com/news/story.php?sno=3500 With our governors swapping seats with senators, we would just keep on recycling same of the same. We are still complaining of having those who were in government decades ago 'serving' us till date; soon, we would have all of them passing the baton around. When you have Dariye, Akume, Yerima and other governors representing a subset (senatorial zone) for a set(state) which they formerly governed, then you'd know there's something wrong with our people!! http://www.punchng.com/politics/intrigues-as-govs-senators-engage-in-swap-contest/ |
sirfelixduke:Lol, it affects our spending power - we go hustle for fresh notes. Seriously, I think this should have come earlier than this. With just a month to go in 2014, it seems kinda late. Seems the SLS -ish contributed to the delay. Who knows, we would have had a #5,000 commemorative note instead ![]() Nigeria - good people, great nation. ‘One Nigeria, Great Promise’ So much for slogans! |
noblezone:Good!- I agree with you here; you've admitted some complicity coming from our army. There's been a mix of politicking and this can not help the army. Nevertheless, I still insist this government isn't serious. That has led to different speculations instead of facts flying around such as the members of BH being in the FG, Chad president/Sheriff sponsoring the fights, ACN behind this, Shekau dying every season etc. If we had a serious government, these guys won't seem to be a mystery, they would simply be identified and flushed out! |
^^^ By this statement, you're admitting that the BH are Nigerians. Using the same logic, some Nigerians want Nigerians killed and we want the government to look away. Your statement is as good as saying government should just siddon look since Nigerians have decided to voluntarily reduce the continent's population. If Americans decide to start bombing America, there is something Obama will do; that's to uphold the rule of law and defend the territorial integrity of the nation. You can't let wrong continue to go on and then turn a blind eye; that's cowardice! |
The basic duty of any government (sovereign one for that matter) is the protection of lives and properties of its citizens - the handwriting is clear. We are what we eat - don't eat your future in the next elections! If we don't hold those we supposedly elected into account, we'll collectively account for the consequences. One day, one day sha, we'll know those masquerading themselves in the name of a cause and in the name of support. Falsehood is not as elastic as the truth. |
There names are Joju, Rogba,Tomiwa,Nigba and Boluwatife. Single Ladies come and select oo..lolCome and select; na Lotto Well sha, na ur blog - anything to add up to content. Btw, this picture doesn't tell us if they're married or not, monogamous or polygamists, so why you dey call single ladies to come do auction? ![]() |
$1 = #165 Kill not a service you enjoy for such amount! |
"University With Worse Graduate In Nigeria" - the title of this thread speaks volumes; it couldn't be better off!!! |
CORRECTMAN78:An indictment of the NPF just as the original post itself is. |
I think some of y'all should take it easy on the OP; he's not a reporter or a journalist. Who knows, as at the time of visit, capturing buildings etc was the least on his mind. Whilst I agree that visuals help, before the advent of social media etc, didn't people still write letters of complaints Even today, some still use phone-in programmes to lodge their complaints. The most important thing is for the story to be true, verifiable and get to the authorities concerned. Now that the OP has related his experience, it's up to concerned civil societies and media outfits (who look for stories to report) to report the situation as professionals. |
Berniethedon:Lol, at a glance, I almost thought this was "Find-A-Mod" to help forum owners find a moderator. Seun woulda bought it ![]() |
coreseam:Lol. I found a new 'use' for my phone where I take good shots if possible (especially of nature). In fact, I look forward to photography competitions and send in entries instead of 'wasting' creativity. At times, it's just being ready to capture the right monents ![]() Orkinila, I don't mind you posting here more 'uses' of shots one has captured with his/her phone.

Mark my word and mark this date that "haywireO7'' told u you will b f*cked before graduating.NmaGOD44, mark nothing down. Follow your personal convictions and ethics to rule you. Don't ever be fooled by the crowd; that's one way to lose your identity. |
Saddening this is. He used to emphasize so much on voters' registration and enlightenment. |
It's so queer how Seun has changed "Ab0ki" for Northerner. Someone viewing this topic for the first time would get lost with what the members are discussing. At least, "my friend" would have been a better substitute. Moreover, the abuse of the word doesn't mean the originality should be replaced. |
No Messrs. |
styless:Your objective defines your persona and states what you wanna make of your career. I believe the cover letter can address the employer's part like you said. Moreover, it's YOUR résumé, not their mission statement(s). Your photoSubjective. Like I wrote on another thread, it's acceptable in certain climes. Btw, what does LinkedIn do? ![]() Any mention of high schoolSubjective too. You never know when this gets you to an alumnus who's the interviewer or someone who respects products of such schools. Remember, we're selling ourselves ![]() |

Truth is there are no hard and fast rules. While some tips are general, others could be situational. For example, in a country like US, attaching your picture is not a bad idea. I would also not agree with not writing your hobbies; in fact, it sometimes serves as an interest to the employer as they want to know what you do for 'fun'. I can only advise you put in 'smart' hobbies not 'watching movies' (most people do that) etc. Your hobbies; if it aligns with what the interviewer does serves as a 'gisting' point in some interviews. Just keep it smart ![]() It's very safe to keep a professional email but sometimes, abeg bone ![]() When dem employ you, dem go give you office email anyway. Abeg, less experienced job seekers, no try am o. |
baba11:Exactly. Still under the NPF. |
9free:The frontage of this National Library is so embarrassing. How do people access this library? I could see mud etc at the front gate |
Find below a modified copy with some comments: RE: Entry Level Training Programme Dear Human Resource Manager, I write to indicate my interest in the Entry Level Training Programme currently advertised by your firm; one which qualifications and skills align with my academic and professional background. I am a graduate of Banking and Finance with Second Class (Upper Division), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) and a Graduate Member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). I have previously worked as a Front Desk Officer at a publishing and advertising firm where I assisted in administrative and office support role. Similarly, I have worked as an Executive Officer at (just describe what the organization does like above; the name is really not necessary) where I organized and managed a group of intellectual students to generate leads, arranged, planned and delivered product and services using advanced media aids at meetings and events. (So many 'and' there; try to make it concise) Aside developing my skills and gaining industry experiences in previous roles, I seek further honing of these in an organization that 'builds the potentials of its personnel' (or try and use any of the company values) Please find attached a copy of my curriculum vitae for further review. I look forward to your response. Yours sincerely, XYZ |

No matter how we beat around the bush, the Islam god is not the true God and Christians are not supposed to eat that meat cos it was offered to an idol. The early church admonished us on this so please do not be deceived. One thing I've seen on this thread is that it appears some don't know what an idol means or they think they know but know not: An idol is an image or other material object representing a deityhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idol Those who face images or take their gods all around, they know themselves. Then I came across this which seems apt: And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father Azar: "Do you take idols as aliha (gods)? Verily, I see you and your people in manifest error.http://quran.com/6/74 |
