This government is not talking to her people. They are photoshopping and tweeting at them while aides do the talking. Wrong strategy |
sarrki:Saw the tweet and wanted to verify who actually owns these accounts. Just an observation - is this Lai's assessment or the Information Minister's? |

The PTA levy seems to be fair judging that most parents wouldn't come - the sad reality we face ![]() It's kinda funny that the school uniform is more than incidental + PTA fees. These schools make a lot of money (or provide employment) through the uniforms and such accessories. We know how it goes ![]() Without any reference to this school, the school business is really thriving in Nigeria and these guys are gaining from two things: 1. Corruption 2. Corruption The regulators are ready to take money to waive some things aside and this also occurs with the schools that operate in one room apartments. The schools thrive heavily on the ignorance and nonchalant attitude of today's parents. We also have the Nigerian factor where people see expensive schools as a status symbol. |

Tourism is not all about destroying old structures and replacing such with new ones but preserving these structures to serve as a historical place. Not all things are modern; people still want to live with the past. So, LASG should consider this when making Lagos a tourist center so that people have places to go learn from! Presently, if LASG doesn't fix the roads (inner roads in particular), they are simply deceiving themselves. There are just some basic infrastructural facilities that aid these things |
deblack17:Go to the NIN office physically with the barcode. |
I do not see the correlation between the topic and content of the body. To some, open offices are distractions as they make the office a sort of market place. To some, open offices allow supervisors monitor junior workers. To some, open offices are like runways, some people want to be seen as working. To some, open offices are cost effective, no need partitioning the building. Whatever the case, it depends on how it is used. |
As long as you stopped calling Airtel "Econet", "V-Mobile" or "Celtel", continuous branding and adverts will get you used to 9mobile and forget Etisalat in time. |
It is a descriptive image but passes the wrong message. Pupils will go to school everyday and be 'inspired' by this image. They probably are watching wrestling bouts during these hols! |
kilojoDesigns:A little check could help. Things to watch out for: Time stamp and date stamp https://twitter.com/yblnigeria/status/893130313341251584 Kraks TV is into comedy so I can understand the 'falsification' of the original tweet but it's the internet, it behooves on every user to do some investigation in order to avoid fake news and not to mix satire with reality. ![]() |
lenghtinny:No correlation at all except he was going into the pornographic industry. |
bbbabes:It is not even about 'deeming it fit' anymore; it's more like a given now. 14 years ago, the best anyone could see on individuals is probably the names being on admission list or the likes. It used to be difficult to find 'Nigerian data' online but these days, people are now volunteering themselves as they are giving out they are removing the anonymous veil when they post. Nonetheless, even companies themselves are guilty of their online perception as some of them do not even bother about reviewing this. I could also search a company on the search bar and see unattended issues capable of denting their reputation. Sometimes, people look for what to influence their decisions and it may not be as serious as this guy's post. The comments on the tweet alone just give you an idea of what the average Nigerian youth thinks - we are in trouble in Nigeria. Any company will be worried with a staff who is OBSESSED as he posses a risk in terms of sexual violence so there is social media and there is real life but your social life gives an average company an idea of what they should be careful about before you put them into trouble. You are what you post! PS: @bbbabes Looking at the use of punctuation marks, it does not appear the company interviewed him. It looks like they used the tweet as a poser. The way people tell us to forgive wrong use of punctuation marks these days will leave the interpretation slightly open. |
naptu2:Insert part of the 'luring' thumbnail and mix it with the irrelevant video. Truth is, it's difficult to know what interests people. A 5 sec video can have millions of views, an audio clip with no images can have same while a video copied from another page will generate more views than the owner of the content itself. I think that's the next place YouTube will go - content ownership. Even where people give credit, I guess they'll introduce a feature that makes it play automatically on the owner's page |
agboifo:Thank you. We thrive on gossip and no one bothers about investigation. Anyone can just post anything and unfortunately, the bloggers pick them up and spread round the web. There appears to be a sinister motive behind this post. |
hybeenoni:I really don't see any need for front page. Call the customer care first. I'm not sure anyone who wants an issue quickly resolved will be bothered about publicity of FP when they have not done their home work properly. I just hope this is not a demarketing attempt |
Teacher1776:MTN is still trying to recover from the 2015 NCC fine. Etisalat is still battling their 2017 loan threat. Airtel continuously files 'Change of name' documents with CAC. Glo is perhaps the only sponsor who can take over. Bearing in mind that these telcos ape after each other, they should stop spending money on endorsements and adopt other strategies to stamp their presence. The only problem with Glo taking over is____ (we all know) |
ilevic:An institution. No hard feelings. The OP's outburst is simple - it reveals the agony of an election candidate. Are you sure it was the school that conducted the SUG elections? The part that got me laughing was: "Mr . hmn who was my own hmm" |
Dcomrade:No, they are actually right in this case. They've sorted stayed at a distance which serves more than a muster point (I hope those inside the main building itself have been evacuated and a roll call done). Not everyone is an HSE expert, so it's best they kept this distance. In Nigeria, one of the constant complaints by firemen is the lack of easy access to burning buildings because non-experts and viewers have blocked the way. Should they "assist in extinguishing the fire", they have themselves to blame if something untoward occurs. |
Politicians are not usually smart as they think they appear? They choose when to personalise issues in order to sell their agendas. That's why the APC insisted on Muslim/Christian candidate and even with that, the politicians will still try to divide us. The bigger problem with social media in this part of the world is FAKE NEWS. Not the JT rhetoric but the spread of inaccurate information without verification. Like the herdsmen's cattle, few bother to stop and think. |
I would have a problem with you if you cannot be discreet with certain information you choose to reveal. How hard is it to locate 2 houses away from Evans? He should have just used something like "who lives around" rather than giving away arithmetic deductions. |
This is a poor photoshop but have we gone this low A selfie with a criminal is now something not to be ashamed of? |
Actually, no one cares about PHCN anymore simply because they no longer exist. |

I think you just need to vent and you have done this here. The guy had already given you hints, he can't afford you anymore but you still persisted with faith. |
kahal29:Buhari has had the history of running two 'presidencies' under one leadership. I think this is a salient point our leaders and governors in particular need to emulate. Of all the past military governments, only his is always remembered as Buhari/Idiagbon regime. I will not be surprised if there's is a cabinet reshuffling when PMB returns. If the history of Nigeria is anything to go by, I am not surprised by this story. After all, only a few weeks ago did someone ask, "who's the Presidency?". He may even stay longer to fish out the non disciplined disciples of his cabinet. What irks me is how sensitive national documents are taken out of the country for the President's assent? Not that this cannot happen or should not happen but I am not sure the average government worker knows how much protection to give national documents or adheres by guidelines - this is where I feel people should be sacked if any code is violated. Going by the amount of national documents that have been leaked online, we are like pawns in the hands of our 'Russians'. |
There's this show like that. It's called KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS. |

Afam4eva:Children are not prohibited from owning accounts. They are only prohibited from OPERATING it or RESTRICTED from using all facilities till they become adults. It actually occurs in Nigeria, just as maids, drivers have accounts opened on behalf of their Ogas, so do children too. Seeing how 'smart' this guy is said to be, I doubt if all accounts will be traced. Even with the BVN, he probably will have had an account opened for someone no one will imagine is connected to him. |
