Nancygoje:You can always check on Trucaller's website yourself. You don't necessarily need anyone with the application to help you with that. |

This report is a lie itself. Why the need to unnecessarily lie against Lai Mohammed? https://www.naij.com/1105754-update-channels-tv-clarifies-lai-mohammeds-alleged-comment-president-buharis.html Unfortunately, people just behave like newsstand analysts. On first sight, I was about asking the OP for the interview's transcript. You post a screenshot to make it appear like it's valid or a reliable source? Common, up your game! |
klanny:This description is just amusing - Nigerian male! Someone needs validation. Anyway, just as social media helps thieves etc with information, the users also help law enforcement agents. Person just throw money for your account abi? Even kidnappers or gang members go throw money put you in trouble. Issok. Money laundering loading.. |
CzarChris:If I saw Ortom handing over the barrows, I would have classed it as lowest but here are pictures of Sani handing radios. I want more pictures of this kind out even though I know politicians are using it to spite one another. The pictures remind us of the mentality we have, where politicians think material handouts must be captured. They want to be seen commissioning everything including bore holes. They put their pictures out there on billboards. On the Gbajabiamila thread too, I asked what really defines 'giving back to the people'? What's the most dire need of the people? It's not everything that has to do with products - sometimes, intervening in welfare services that can impact their lives outweigh products that have expiry dates. Well, it's allowed. It's allowed because Nigerians are still tolerating mediocrity with their own money. |
deomello:It's commonsense to know that Nigerians have been using mobile gadgets since 2001. In your attempt to make a point, you're not even focusing on the issue raised in my post. If you believe your style of critique is the 7th sense, I'd be happy to have no discuss. Thanks |
jonhemma11:I do not want to be unnecessarily critical but the first thought that came to me when I realised that it was tabs was CONTRACT! Unfortunately, that's the system we have. Someone most likely would've benefited from the procurement of the tabs which may outweigh the purpose of the programme. Nigerian politicians and 'impacting the lives of people' are synonymous to vagueness. If it is the same Surulere that the media has been quoting, electricity remains a big problem to them so even if the batteries are 60,000mah, Surulere residents need his intervention in terms of prepaid meter (I have seen several news features on this issue). He actually has the power to intervene in such - let's put the basket down before collecting apples. Similarly, when we all focus on these tablets, my question remains "are all students comfortable with using this as a means of study?" A tab is more of a support to me - help them with the electricity challenges they have first and that will be a fantastic add-on for the use of the tabs |
Appears this was written a long time ago and the author was just waiting for the release date; quite too early in my estimation. |
Juell:Not when floods, mud and erosion are commonplace around some Nigerian States. |

If Nigerian politics is anything to go by, I will take Akande's statement as a signal. Bearing in mind that APC is a merger of different parties, the APC Youth Frontier or what have you may just be another segment from the merged parties or not even connected at all to APC. |
Waiting for those who will turn the man's picture to a meme ![]() |
The mouth shouldn't be faster than the head which controls it but in this case, Lola has acted so particularly in Part 8 where she's still arguing before her mum shut her up. You see, when you get to the courts and find out how silly issues split marriages, you would think it's a Nollywood script. Communication, trust and respect are the key ingredients to any relationship. If one of them is missing, the others will crumble. They all work together. Lola is stubborn about her ideas as she has forgotten that it's not just about her alone, there are two people involved. She did not communicate well with him or respect his needs, left him angered and that's where the distrust crept in. People have egos and Kenny played out some shakara moves just to get attention and this is where a lot get it wrong. Sometimes, people do not mean to take an action but the ego in us does not want to belittle us, hence we wait for the other party to beg us. Once a third party is saying your spouse is the problem without talking to the other party, then such person is not a neutrally reliable party to discuss issues with. The 'Mummy' talking about the devil in Kenny is really divisive and this is where our people need to apply common sense in the midst of nonsensical ideas. I know Islam does not permit a woman to fast voluntarily except with her husband's permission but here, Kenny went extreme with this. In fact, a discussion between them will have solved this - in just 5 months, you already made a decision to fast in the next 3 months (100 days) Common! Don't make a monster out of a mommy's boy! This decision to go spiritual ought to be mutual otherwise, one party sees the other as an obstacle. So, to summarily execute this, communicate effectively to earn the trust and respect of your partner. Your body language (and actions) also communicates to the other party how much trust and respect they'll invest in you. Who anger epp? |
I noticed "First Ladies" in the picture, not 'First Lady' or "First Lady's" ![]() |
Jega betraying GEJ sounds like he was bribed to do the former President's bidding. Who did JEGA betray in 2011 when GEJ won? GMB? I like JEGA's response to all of these. They are seriously trying to bring him into all of these but he's just replaying his Orubebe moments. FFK just wants to tap into the news; there's time for everything. |
4llerbuntu:Exactly. I see how people come here for subtle marketing. Kili what? Service is the most important thing for consumers. If you want to push up the ratings of Kilimall, there's no need for sponsored posts, customers will do free referral on your behalf. |
goldfish80:You are observant |
Chizgold:This is the highlight of his write up. Our maintenance culture is one that can scare Mr Maintain himself - the Sokoto airport readily comes to mind. Kaduna airport is quite a big one but traffic is missing there for obvious reasons. Maybe we may need other closures that will force diversion to Port Harcourt, Jos or Warri airports. Once another Minister or government takes over, past projects are abandoned. I think the announcers at the airports located in the North speak clearly for obvious reasons once again. When people speak with their noses and cannot communicate within the waiting lounge or the airplane, the essence of their messages is lost. They may say they're keeping up with international bla bla bla but please, connect locally, function globally! PS: By the time Abati realises how people are using click bait to read his articles, he may just do a Business Day on us ![]() |
alignacademy:I think you have captured the major points. That bond enslaves you. The sales job exposes you. Both are actually not bad brands but if the OP loves his life and well-being, he'd better go for the Sales job. For the commenter saying the manufacturers are experiencing issues now, banks will also have their time and the OP will be on the first line to go when they want to cut costs. |
Origin:I hope they see this so that the pictures are not just for patronising sake. For instance, one of the pictures has an unknown individual on it, they didn't even bother putting his name just because he's supposedly unpopular. This is inconsistent with what they did for the others. They believed using popular figures will hype the cause. The posters look more like patronage to me - BRF as performance, Tinubu as legacy, Ambode as whatever is just so 'common'. Using pictures of artistes, politicians and the likes is a mismatch of what Lagos offers the ordinary man. It does not have any connection with the man at Abule Ẹ̀gba, Okokomaiko, Ijesha, Lakowe, Ibefun or what have you. Good thinking Origin |

Whoever blows the GREEN whistle knows what's up! |
I know some people simply came to see what Osborne Road was back then and now for obvious reasons :p |
Ever since Wike's picture with the whistle started trending, Fayose couldn't miss out on it. He should actually have one in his mouth, just like Wike did. That's apt |
He is not meant to be 'made up' in the first place. Guess a lot of Nigerians are actually more interest in when he is going to 'man up'. ![]() |
AjalaJ:But the minority always have a right to differ! ![]() |
I initially did not want to respond to this thread but just so you do not misinform people, I have decided to login on a PC to clarify: optimusmind:True, with the FX instability, ICAN is the cheaper option. Even ACCA recognises this as they have a special rate for the Nigerian students. Students from other countries (particularly African and Asian) too also complain about FX and its effect on writing the examinations. 2. Availability of ResourcesThis is totally false. First, you digress when you move from availability of resources to availability of tuition houses. Compared to about ten (10) years ago, the tuition houses you have for ACCA have improved. With the exams getting more popular and Nigerians dissing ICAN for ACCA, ICAN had to change their policy on exemptions etc. There are sites when you can get resources for ACCA online free ( and I am not referring to hacking or pirated materials). True that the fact that it is in pounds affects the cost of buying original study materials but there are definitely MUCH MORE resources online (videos, discussion forums, tutor support, revision notes and audio lectures) than ICAN. A google search will easily discard this point as irrelevant. More so, I know some ICAN students who could not afford materials and had to photocopy - everyone's situation is different. The most important thing is to maximise the resources you have - eg borrow materials from those who wrote a previous diet and the likes. 3. Statutory recognition. You are right here; I stated this previously but like I also mentioned, if you think of migrating abroad, don't make this mistake. If ICAN learns from the likes of the Pakistani body, you would see much recognition internationally. I will just ask you to do a simple search online on international job boards or recruitment agencies and you'd easily see ACCA there. Though North America usually has its own specifics, this is where conversion and exemption makes sense. When you know what CPA students for example go through, you will appreciate the cost of exemptions. I guess you are yet to really ask yourself why "the basic advantage of ACCA is the recognition in the private sector" exists. When you refer to 'climbing higher' in the public sector, ANAN is the easy way out. That's why you find public officials choosing the route and still achieving career growth in the public sector. As far as I am concerned, what you do with your certificate is the most important. Most times, people who have all these certifications earn it for a particular purpose, after two - three years without relevant practise or continuous professional development, you are as good as a novice. 4. Easier to passThis is one fallacy accountancy students fall for. In reality, no one cares how hard your exam although there is a notion that the harder the exam, the more respected it is but what is the purpose of an exam? Knowledge is not meant to be for a select few even though we need regulations for members. I see students from India, Pakistan etc too argue about this too - they even venture into CFA being less harder than the equivalent they have. Guy, everyone has his or her own story - something about professional examinations students fail to realise is this, EXECUTION takes precedence over PREPARATION. Sounds funny right Most times, students read and even cram the study material but their delivery during the examination often fails them. So you can have an average student passing at one sitting and an exceptionally brilliant student stumbling. I also do not support this ASAP ideology of yours. At the end, you will get the designation but like I wrote earlier, it is what you do with any certification or knowledge that matters the most. We are certificate crazy in this country because it seems to boost our profile whereas globally, people seek competency. A situation where ICAN examiners will set examination questions from topics not in a syllabus or where they do not do thorough review of questions (e.g MCQ questions) leaves a lot to be desired. 5. PatriotismNothing to say here. I believe in options anyway and once again, it is not about sentiments. The Pakistani and Indian accountancy bodies are very strong, we can learn from them too. I'd support the Nigerians bodies over any foreign body if we ensure quality and standards. ConclusionCan we have a list of these countries and the idea of how easy it is to convert a foreign CA to the countries? Let's start with W.Africa first. The edge ACCA has here even in territories where they are less popular is PARTNERSHIP, Without that, the members are as good as 'abandoned'. |
If you want to comply with regulations in Nigerja, ICAN and ANAN will do. But if you want to act locally but live globally, ACCA is the better option. It's not about being sentimental but put your career first. You want to have global options. I'd rather you get both for obvious reasons. |
With the grinding machine there, I conclude that our people are just selfish. Once a school has no playground facilities for a child's development and not located in a serene environment, you're just wasting your time. What's the most annoying is the way the officials of the regulators turn a blind eye to such developments until it becomes rampant in the country. That's when they'd be attempting remedial solutions. |
This OP sef, what is the risk of posting the third point here? I do not think the whistle-blowers are unaware of these risks. Sometimes, the potential reward outweighs the risks involved. The potential reward is also not always money even if that's the government's incentive. So, just as some are willing to die or live saying the truth, some are also ready to keep lying or die trying to conceal secrets. |
