maxell: Dayokanu (and others)
The amount obj spent on power was between $4 billion and $5 billion and not $16 billion. You need to get the figures right. That $16 billion figure was just propaganda spread by obj's adversaries.
Okonjo-Iweala; the accountant general at the time and others have testified that the amount spent was between $4 and $5 billion and you have the power plant at Geregu (414 MW) that was completed and the ones at papalanto and omotosho at various stages of completion.
Obj's govt was the one that (finally) connected Bayelsa state to the national grid. About $76 million dollars was spent on the owerri-ahoada-yenagoa transmission line and it was successfully completed. Go and do the research.

Listen, we all know, there were lots of atrocities committed during the admin of obj, no doubt about that. But he also had his accomplishments especially in the economy.
I personally don't think we have had a president good enough to be celebrating which one is the best.
If you were talking about Fashola now (as best governor), then I might agree with you because the guy is really trying. I have been to this power plant before. The plant was commissioned in Feb 2007 and i went in aug 2007. Do you know the cost of that power plant ,you dont wanna know. And its not the whole power station thats working, there were 3 turbines, one of the turbines was not working so they told us that. But who knows wat actually happened. so that mean geregu generates only 138*2 MW from 2 turbines. How can you forget all that obj did so soon? how? |

If Ribadu was a "hero","honorable" as many ignorant ones claim,he would have resigned from obj's govt . But he kept going doing obj's bidding. He saw how Atiku fought and won without any crying, hide and seek or media propaganda. If he has nothing to hide why can he stay and defend himself. The irony of all this is that this is the same guy that hounded Atiku Wonders shall never end |

lucabrasi: the fact that I'm criticizing ribadu doesnt mean my parents are corrupt, speaking for myself, what i have against ribadu is the fact that while he was in power he 1.practices selective justice, went after only obasanjo's perceived enemies, but the very wrong move he made in these selective justice was going after a private businessman who has never held a public office, who had no outstanding crime but whose only crime was contesting against iyabo obasanjo i.e lanre tejuoso,he hounded the poor man and unfairly disqualified him from contesting against iyabo, to think iyabo was facing multiple charges of corruption yet she wasnt touched.
2.his arrogance while he was in power,he disobeyed the present i.g and other senior officers and it even got so bad even the police officers assigned to him who were not more than the rank of seargent openly and blantantly disobeyed very senior officers bnecause they were under the protection of ribadu
3.the unresolved allegations hanginmg over his head including the underselling of some properties seized from people while in office 4.continually using the media to achieve his aims and deliberately using his contacts in the media to put out false statements 4.even after taking the police and efcc to court, still going on with media rhetorics and soundbites all for seeking attention
let us assume ribadu had done an awesome job for nigeria,he should be magnanimous enough to obey his superiors without any struggle if he has been removed for any reason as he is neither indispensible nor unreplaceable, he has served his country and has achieved what more senior and more brilliant police officers will never achieve both financially and in form of connections, if the likes of atiku lanre tejuoso didint raise a storm when he was dealing with them, why should he now Very frank and correct! |

Bialegend: What about your so called unstopable presidential ticket for your nigeria's next presidential election being Dora Akinyuli for president and Fashola as vice president? I am sure you weren't drunk when you paired the two and have Fashola a yoruba as president and Dora Akinyuli an Igbo as vice. What about the other way round? I guess the ticket with Dora Akunyuli as the president won't sell for you yorubas because it's hard to swallow the fact of Igbo whether performing good or bad becoming your president. I ask you again, what about Dora Akinyuli as president and Fashola as her vice? How can we allow a woman to rule us,you must be joking |

chidichris: what did ribadu do when andy uba the then personal assistant to obj was convicted over money laundary via nigeria's presidential jet in the usa? the matter was termed a civil case by ribadu so what is civil in a top government official moving cash out of nigeria unlawfully and how does that differ from alams and ibori's cases? the name of the game is selected justice. Chidi abeg tell them, some people have eyes but they cant see or they just choose what they want to see. If not why should we be making so much noise about corrupt DCP Ribadu. |

As I don draw attention to their names now, watchout them go change names to continue their propaganda. . . . but no matter wetin them do, those wey their papa loot Naija money go always remain a minority
