80% of the company income tax, value added tax, education tax and custom duties generated in Nigeria comes from Lagos state and the state is not complaining. It is a sacrifice they have to make for the development of the country.

Going to court over the stamp duty act for interpretation is a matter of seeking legal clarification. The same way Niger Delta states are sacrificing for the nation is the same way Lagos is sacrificing as well. Stop trying to blackmail Lagos into supporting your agitation.
But all these taxes still constitute an insignificant percentage in the total government income. Meanwhile, total FG investment in Lagos surpasses this taxes by a wide margin and these investment comes from oil proceeds

Are you telling this house that there are no banks and deposits in Port Harcourt, Asaba, Uyo, Calabar etc that will generate big money for them except Lagos? I am assuming there's none in your jungle.
This fight is for all states of the federation and stop being limiting in your thought process.
anambra and abia control more cash transactions than any other state in southern nigeria apart from Lagos and rivers

Power is privatised now. Minister of Darkness only controlls transmission. Generation is now in the hands of GENCOS, distribution in the hands of DISCOS.

You people did not complain when the last admin handed over to GENCOS and DISCOS....and remember they did give you guys time to register your disagreement. Most of us kept quiet.
Keep quiet, in the middle of rainy season when the dam fill up, power will improve but instead of praising GENCOS you praise buhari nd fashola

Hahaha, my bro, this is just Ipob attempt at saving face. Pure propaganda to make it seem the south south people are interested in their biafran fraud. Tell me who in the south south know all this people they appoint. Each state in the south south has at least 6 million people in population, if 10 or even 100 rogues support Biafra, it does not mean dey speak for others. Keep appointing them, at the end na Nigeria u go still face before u move
According to federal sources, Anambra with population of 5.5 million is the most populated in SE/SS followed by rivers with 5 million

What are you saying? You mean igbo nollywood that was recently launched on africa magic? You mean igbo movies filled with silly comedies and witchcraft? Funny, I would partially agree with you if you say the English nollywood movies. After the English movies which has majority of Igbo actors, next is Yoruba nollywood.. igbo speaking movies haven't come close. 95% of it is about village life, charms and witchcraft. Go see modern settings, houses, cars, name it. Unrealistic stories, magic and impossibilities makes Yoruba movies lagging
Lol, you are saying the same thing with the person you quoted. Igbo nollywood does not necessarily mean movies in igbo language but movies with igbo cultural setting in its storyline

Ikechu10:
Because those areas are the largest oil producing areas of River state.

The largest oil blocks in River state is in Ndoni-Egbema-Ogba area.

Likewise Oyigbo produces a high percentage of oil for river state. Infact remove those areas plus etche, River status as an oil producing would drop significant low. It will not be the second largest anyone.

Some of those communities in question like Egbema and Oyigbo have long been asking to be carved out of River state. Oil is the only reason theironically request is ignored. Also the reason ijaws at one point was trying to annex them as ijaws.
while they enjoy the oil they have to live with the bitter truth that the oil is in igboland and igbos will continue ruling. if they don't like it, just carve all igbo groups out. No igbo is disturbing them in Bayelsa

They wont let them be until they can swallow them by force!

Like Oliver Twist, greedy people are NEVER contented

Keep quiet, Ikot Ekpene is closer to Aba than PH, how many times has there been a debate over their ethnicity??/ Do you create an ethnic group by writing Umu as Rumu or Nwakamma as Wakamma just because it is pronouce like that in you dialect?? while you are free to write in your dialect, it does not confer a seperate ethnic group. Imo bears Ihedioha, anambra version is Ifediora so i do not see how Rumu vs Umu makes a distinct ethnic group
Politics › Re: PORT HARCOURT: Who Changed The Names From Umu To Rumu And Why by MXrep: 2:37am On Apr 20, 2017
what is the different between Umu and Rumu?? can't these ignorant afonja OP see that Rumu is just a dialect just as Umu is the standardized version as Abagworo said?? Its just like writing Nwachukwu as Wachukwu, does that change anything, don't you know that other igbo clans in the SE pronouce it as Wachukwu but write in standardized version as Nwachukwu??

9. To deny Rivers Ijaw the governorship of new Rivers State because Diete-Spiff and Okilo were governors of old Rivers State, is like denying Ikwerre the governorship because Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr. Michael Okpara and Odumegwu Ojukwu were premiers/military governor of old Eastern Region that included present Rivers State.
