This country na waoh. I find it very difficult to believe this story. One of my Oga 's son was innocently rounded up along with other students while returning from lectures in school down there in the south. They were asked to pay money, those that couldn't pay were asked to call their parents. This boy called his mother and the so called security agent took the phone from him and started telling the mum that he is a yahoo boy, that he defrauded one Canadian lady blabla... the mum calmly told him to hold on while she transferred the call to her husband. Fortunately the husband started interrogating him. He cut the call and asked the boy where his father works, the boy calmly told him DSS. Omo the security agent immediately called the papa back that he shouldn't worry that his son will be released immediately. What then happens to the other innocent boys being falsely accused? I just weep for my country! The real yahoo boys go around with escorts, untouchable.

Sorry to say this, you are part of the problem engulfing this country right now, 5mil worth of food stuff? Just for only you?
Infact I still blame the govt that once said is it statistics we go chop? If not they would have foreseen this abnormal food hoarding movement right on time and take drastic action to control it.

Some called me a prophet of doom, but when Buhari started dealing with them, the started to edit their post and called me a prophet. I am not a prophet. As an igbo business man, I only have the ability to see the future base on data available to me.

This year January told my oga a Yoruba who is a nairalander here to store food. He said no that he want to use his money to buy a contruction equipment for rental. I tried all I can to discourage him because I know in time like this contruction will not move but he refused. I even beg him to store the food and resale it by July and still buy the equipment with change he refused and went ahead to buy the equipment. Till now he has not rent out this equipment. Cement has increased and no chance breaking even the cost of this machine in the nearest future.

I told him I want to buy food he started laughing at me. Even jokingly called my wife to discourage me. Their laugh did not move me. I came online to start learning about food storage. I spent 2 day and night to study food storage. I can in contact with a good hausa friend on this nairaland. His user name is shariff84. Who help me buy food from. The north. I also get another woman from benue state to by for me. All my storage cost me about 5miill

I bought this food last month and within this January/ February some of the food have double while my friend is yet to make any rent. eg beans garri, rice, yarm etc.

What am I trying to say

We Igbos are mostly traders. As trader you are very closer to market data and trend. A trader can easily analyze and focast the likely future price of good unlike a civil servant. A hausa man is also in a good position to focus the future price of Agriculture but they don't because everything is the will of God, and beliefs that When the time comes God will provide.

To average igbo man everything is about business
To housa man everything is about religion
To a Yoruba man everything is about entertainment.

Exactly my thoughts. It has to be a marital issue. Probably infidelity or blackmail...it can't be hunger, if it's difficult for two to share the burden, how much more only one person shouldering it all?

I have known him for a year he is a great man and would love to be a part of his life my children adore him but when I remember how my ex husband was also a saint in the begining, he promised me heaven on earth, he even swore in front of my late mother and elder brother that he love me and my kids like his own , only for him to change his mind after the wedding , that's why I am scared that the same thing may happen again. I haven't met or spoken to his children ,they are adult the daughter is already married with kids and the son lives abroad.

Go ahead and give him a chance. His wife is late and his 2 kids has moved out of the house living their independent lives. He needs you and your kids to fill up that vacuum. He can't be like your ex because that one is younger and needs his own kids, and not financially stable. Both marriage proposals are for different motives. If you take good care of the man and win the hearts of the kids, your own kids would benefit at the end. Importantly, be watchful over your female kids so that the devil won't play a fast one on you. Men can't be trusted in that area oo.

Ahh, you are lucky it showed up after 30mins. Mine na pos guy, it refused to show up OOO, as I come tire to dey wait, the guy pity me and gave me the money on trust. Can you believe that it was around 12am in the midnight that the yeye alert dropped! From my end, the debit was successful so I didn't bother to resend it. This can be frustrating, really!
