For Jews, your tithe is for the priests/Levites since God has separated them from having properties and working.
Their source of livelihood is the tithe from the other tribes of Israel.

As a Christian tithing is not a requirement, cheerful giving is. Which some times could be less than a tithe (10% of your produce) or even far more depending on your choice and not a law. The early disciples gave all they had to the church after conversion.

Study the new testament carefully and you'll realise that no where did Peter or Paul mention the word tithe as a requirement. Only that the church make cheerful giving according to their will. Knowing that God blesses the cheerful giver.

However everything is hinged on your faith. If you have faith that paying tithe is when God blesses you, by all means do that.
If you have faith that giving cheerfully is when God blesses you by all means do that.
If you have faith that giving to the poor is when God blesses you, by all means do that.

Your faith is what makes you whole.

There are fundamental flaws in your assumptions about morality as held by atheists. You have to first understand that the idea of morality as a God-centered enterprise is majorly an Abrahamic idea, at least in the modern sense. We have both seen the scientific wonders, architectural and technological marvels human has been capable of in the last century, wouldn't you like to find out where it is all going? What comes next? The primary role of a prophet is not as you see it falsely displayed today. Primary role of a prophet is to teach God's word. And you will see that evident in all the OT prophets. They taught so that men will believe.

Moses, is a central example. He was a teacher of the word. His teaching was the basis of every other writings in the Bible. That's to let you know how much he taught.

That is the primary role of a prophet. God's spokesman is to teach oracle of God. Other things are secondary.


So those in the OT were taught and have access to the teaching of God's Word through their prophets.

No one just believe in the bible sense. Believing in itself is a product of knowledge. Knowing who or what you believe.

And faith is a product of faithfulness which in itself comes from a proper knowledge, a knowing of the person or things.

Bible is an embodiment of teaching that provides knowledge of God's faithfulness thereby persuading you to have faith in him.

The 5 fold ministry has it's different roles.

The prophet reveals the mind/will/mysteries of and from God.
The teacher is the one who teaches the word of God.
The evangelist preaches the gospel.

Biblically people developed knowledge and faith in God in 3 ways;
1. By direct revelation/hearing from God either through dreams or theophanies (appearance of God or an angel)
Abraham and Moses heard directly from God hence they believed.
Jacob had a dream about God at Luz before he also believed.
The apostles saw Jesus directly before the believed in him.

2. By evangelism. By someone preaching to you about God. Now those who operate in the evangelistic ministry have the advantage of being used prophetically or as teachers but they are primarily evangelists.

3. But being born into a religion. All Jews were expected to believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I'm not the linguist who decided Theism is belief in a deity.
Neither did I decide the definition for atheism.
Theo means deity/god.

Hence Theism mean belief in a deity.
So atheism applies to unbelief in a deity.

An ATHEIST is one who consciously
