Is there any time God can be found? Is there any time God cannot be found? |
MaxInDHouse:When I opened this thead I just intentionally didn't want to mention any church denomination. It's meant to be a personal journey. I personally was not impressed by JW. Cos I had read the bible personally before visiting your meetings and getting exposed to your doctrines. Perhaps my major error when I was still fiery for Christ was mixing my church with bro Gbile's discipleship program and others. I was hearing some thing different from one side- my church, Joshua Selman, Myles' Monroe, TD Jake's anx Steven Furtick while also hearing something entirely different from Bro Gbile, Deeper life and Foursquare. Even JW had an even more complicated doctrine. To be honest, today I wish I had simply stuck with my church doctrines cos it is more in line with what the bible teaches. |
silibaba:Pls share your reason. |
cigie:There are so many pentecostal churches around esp in Lagos that fall under this category cos I've visited many. Find the one you connect with the worship and sermon. You should do your visit. But the church is not among the popular churches. That doesnt mean popular churches don't have parishes/branches/provinces where you can get the same. |
Iyaebe:I don't know how old you are or which school you attended. 1 thing is that this is not the first time this is happening in secondary(high) schools in Nigeria or any where else in the world. But thanks to social media, this is getting major attention and hopefully justice is served on the culprits even though they are minors. The school really can't be blamed. They will only be liable if others have been reporting cases of bullying and they have turned a blind eye. Cos truly this happens in every school. Public schools and very expensive private schools are the worst. My brother went to Greensprings (one of the most expensive schools in Nigeria back then and even now) and I know what butter kids are capable of. Also some public schools are just a no-no if you can afford a reasonable private school. Cos every occasion some butter children dont get any attention from their parents. Yet if their parents are careless they might actually get access to they dad's gun. Which once in a while they bring to school First some public school, cultism is the bane they're dealing with cos you will find a school trying to prove they have the toughest guys in the neighbourhood. And really some of them are products of their parents or uncles. Morale of the story, I think Dowen has to do a lot of damage control. I don't think they can be totally blamed for the death of Sylvester. 1.Some times these rich men were once cultists themselves and it's karma catching up on them. 2. Some times the parents give their children/wards good upbringing but when the kids get to school they want to be among the cool kids and end up doing things their parents are not even aware of. 3. Some times the school truly is negligent especially when the focus of the proprietor/proprietress is only about the money. I believe with Lami Philip's really invested in her family's school number 3 is not an option in this case. Cos they school has done well with damage contro whilel responding well to investigation, Lagos state govt, Ministry of Education, affected parents and their patrons and the parents of their students. That said, let's cut Dowen a lil slack and hope the culprits or their parents don't go away Scot free. |
DroppingLiquid:Both of them are the same person hiding under different moniker. The extent some will go for attention. I dont even mind having multiple accounts but pls be creative about it. |
Tallino25:What difference does this make? More important is that you don't remain the way you came. I was attracted by the music ministrations and packaging but ended up being captured by the sermons. The depth of the word and how the pastor broke down seemingly incomprehensible scriptures. |
timstone:That is the least of our problems when (not if) Nigeria breaks up. I believe an agreement/memorandum of understanding will be reached. It will either be equally split or the part that benefitted the most from the borrowed funds will be given the highest share. Nigeria is a product of an unholy matrimony between the North and South by Lord Luggard. The ways/ideals/beliefs/mindset of the North is at so much dissonance with the South that it was doomed from the very get-go. Thanks to Social Media majority of Nigerians are now exposed to the various footages of interviews where the Northerners have continued to express their supremacy in Nigeria and how the rest of Nigeria are just tenants who should be forever ruled. Whether and how Awo and Zik were not privy to this information remains a mystery. But now that we are privy to the ominous mindset of the average Northerner especially the Fulanis, it's certain that this marriage has crashed. Buhari has even unwittingly helped the South.discover the inevitability of our split from the North as he continues to expose his bigotry and tribalistic inclinations his appointments, body language, speeches and military oppressions. I believe 2023 will see either the break up of Nigeria as an entity or create a ground-breaking earthquake that will produce the ripple effect that will ultimately lead to the eventual break-up. Until then, we move. |
Ihedinobi3:How does the bible disagree with them? Acknowledging Jesus is man is correct. Like wise saying that Jesus is Spirit is also correct. One does not deny the other. Of course he lived and breathed as Man when he was born until he was crucified. But after his crucifixion and ascension into heaven he returned to being Spirit which is why you see the Spirit of Christ mentioned in the bible. |
Ammishaddai:They're the same but like you right said, from two differing narratives from two different religious views and history. The Torah, Bible and Koran share the same foundational stories but from different perspectives. Viz the story of creation are similar but differing details. The story of Abraham/Ibrahim and the promised child who is Isaac/Issaka in the bible but Ismael in the Koran. The story of Moses and Pharoah. Even the story of Mary/Mariam and Jesus/Yisa. All these stories share similarities but differing details when studied from both accounts of the Bible and the Koran. |
Call me when you have a message from heaven. Until then I leave your hellfire to you. |
AlhajiNatty:The irony is when you realise a man you claim has the power to turn children to tubers of yam is unable to disappear from the scene or turn any of his assailants into another tuber of yam. For this course I appreciate civilisation. Imagine a Nigeria where we all still thought like this and believed so many foolish superstitions. |
MangekyoAlt:You're obviously a Messi fan cos obviously you chose the years that favoured Messi. You can't make a good judge cos your sentiments will always cloud your judgment. |
There are 4 ways I see the illuminati. 1. It's am organisation of the influential/wealthy people in the society coming together to increase their influence and wealth locally and globally. 2. It's a conspiracy theory concocted in the minds of the poor to defend their lack of wealth. Hence as a defense mechanism they attribute every success to belonging to illuminati. 3. It's as a result of formerly religious person(s) (the founder(s) realising that religion is a scam so they decided to also make their own money by establishing illuminati (a form of religion). 4. It's as a result of the devil actually attacking and possessing the founder who like you said is an ex-catholic. And as a result trying to draw more people/souls away from God and to himself. This I actually dont really believe cos I only see it as a narrative Christians have developed due to excessive exposure religionism. Cos Kanye West (Ye) was said to be Illuminati. Guess what? Now that he has converted to Christianity, he has never mentioned that he was part of Illuminati. His reference to illuminati was that people say he is illuminati. And in his testimony he has never acknowledged the existence of Illuminati. |
Foreverdope:The question is does she even know what love is? For most Nigerian girls, love is when they allow you have sex with them. ![]() But really love is seeing your complement in another and is accentuated by the actions of sacrifice you take for them. Giving yourself and giving your finances, strengths, help is the core part of that. Yes sex is a core part of a woman's essence and giving a guy access to her privacy and sex is also an act of sacrifice. But true love is in the sacrifices youre willing to make for the the one you love that's beyond sex. Bear in mind that love makes you vulnerable and when it isn't mutual it makes you look stupid and even foolish. But when it's mutual it's heaven on earth. Never stop loving but choose who you love carefully. |
YeyeGbami:Lol for him to try do that on stage, they've def been running things behind the scene. Wizpapa. ![]() |
MrMacinterchi1:You're such a misogynist that's why you do not see my point. Anyways read the OP again then read my post slowly this time. |
drizslim:Doppelganger you mean. |
Authoreety:They probably had an agreement. But obviously in his present health condition, he can't possibly rule this country. |
Awkabigboy:Why do you think we have sugar mummies everywhere? |
JohnFGbegile:It's posts like this that give credence to govt reason to regulate Social media. You have simply slandered Osinbajo without any evidence or witness. Yet you have called him a "condemned criminal." If you're looking for a perfect politician certainly you womt find any. I'm sure you know how corrupt you yourself are. But when we have a few who still have conscience and have the vision to rule this country then we should not condemn them completely. |
Ammishaddai:That and to make vaccination compulsory. All this just to cash out. |
ValCon888:Exactly. The rush is cos she doesn't want to be identified and tagged an hoeloshow even though she enjoys the hoeloshow way. |
Wawelexy:Guess you're a better boxer then Mohammed Ali and better singer than Michael Jackson. And better scientist than Albert Einsten. Even a better leader writer than Chinua Achebe. If not, you're no doubt a self-conceited sociopath suffering from extreme case of delusions of grandeur. You should atleast achieve some thing first before exhibiting pride. Acknowledging people who are better than you in your present state is not low self esteem it's called inspiration. Concluding that you can never be better than them even in the future is what makes it low self esteem. Be Humble. |
Wawelexy:Spoken as a true hater and sad soul. It's not inferiority complex when you celebrate people greater than you. Eediot |
Yhungsarm:If Pascal Frere who organises Ballon D'or could tell a blatant lie that CR7 told him that his only goal is to win more Ballon D'or than Messi. Then you can already know that the award is prejudiced and messy. |
thesicilian:This table you're shaking is longer than King Arthur's round table biko. ![]() |
Legendary. |
paulolee:Messi has always been struggling since he left his comfort zone Barca. Even Messi celebrates CR7 for easily adjusting in every league. Like I said both of them are greats but when it comes to who is performing better presently it's asinine to place Messi over CR7. |
beleanlabels:Are you serious or not? As n interested buyer. No phone number, no location. You must be new to this. |
