I experienced same briefly after I updated to the last version on MIUI 10 (which I am stil on), but deliberately didn't complain here. After like 3-4 days, the battery consumption normalised.

A lot of people are coming from phones that barely or never brought updates, and when it did it usually ended up making their phones unusable.
I believe that scare still affects a host of them. For every update I've done since galaxy S3, I've always experienced a period of underperformance from my battery and also phone. Most times I download the entire OS and update my phone via PC, but at some point it gets tiring. Even Google's pixels experience bugs after updating

This thread was created way back before Xiaomi came this year, just a tiny research would make you know that it's made up of people trying to render free assistance to others in need. After all most of the assistance rendered here, people are paying for it.

See ehn if you call me a marketer then you're really not serious, check and go through my post on nairaland, I use a Samsung , and I've never owned but only bought Xiaomi for my relatives.

My dear , you said you have 100k to buy phone which is good enough, enter any shop and get yourself a Samsung or any of the transsion devices if that will make you feel better. If you really need the realme X pro you can enter the Xiaomi thread store and find out for yourself who the marketers truly are so you don't look silly next time just labelling anyone a marketer.

When we try to tell them differences between phones, they don't listen. If you are in love with Mobile games as a Techy I wouldn't even look the Redmi 8 way.

You don't expect SD 439 to play online games and not heat up. Even gaming phones and gaming laptops with their 3-4 fans still heat up badly.

He has been complaining of something, post your battery usage graph, Screen usage and battery app usage no. But he wants his battery usage to be like someone who only uses his battery for light to medium usage.

Solutions were proferred, you didn't give feedback on the outcome that's if you tried them. You didn't present your phone's about section or even your battery graph. If you weren't responded to it'll be a different thing being said.

If you buy something and you feel it's not performing well, you change it. That's the good thing about having several options.

Make-up your mind if you're okay with that phone or need to change it, you'll get buyers.

this guy is still tagging Xiaomi as an upcoming brand, but it baffled me a lot, because this upcoming brand over took Samsung in India since last year... Going by smartphone world, we know who India is, therefore, its better we turn blind eye to some of his posts.

Going by the bugs in MIUI 11, its a normal thing for any UI and OS to have issues in the first month of upgrade.

It is also observed that the new update in WhatsApp (fingerprint security) has caused lot of battery drain across all sort of device.

Even the recently released iOS 13.x had issues, was freezing. I don't know if they've released an update to fix it yet.
