Leonbonapart: Kleptomaniac need prayers not court. After all she's isn't the problem of Nigeria. Buhari and his Islamic caliphate are our problem Honestly. It's an influence they can't resist. The most powerful kleptomaniac is Het majesty the Queen of England. Elizabeth II. Yes you read that right. She's a kleptomaniac. Whenever she went for shopping in her younger days, the crown (the royal family) will inquire about the supposed Mart or store, give them instructions to stock it properly and send the invoice of everything, every item the store has in stock. The crown will then pay in advance before visiting the store. Such that peradventure the young princess secretly picks anything (by impulse) and is hidden, she would not be tagged a thief since ALL the items have kuku being paid for before the visit. They created liberty for her due to her kleptomaniac tendencies. She still does it as a queen but, it's not tantamount to stealing since it's been paid for. Kleptos, true kleptos are unprepared for the things they steal neither do they plan it. The urge or drive just come and they do it compulsively immediately. There's no motive of stealing. So they aren't supposed to be court-tried. This lady is a thief. Seconded @ rejoke pally123: Female Kleptomaniacs, I hear, like lashing die. The two go hand in hand Yes, the sexual urge is as compulsively immediate as the 'thiefing' urge. |

mytym: The thread is for individual choices. My top5 doesn't have to be your top 5. Generation(age range) of viewers usually determine which movie(s) they will love most. Most elderly people in their 40s, 50s will most likely include a James Bond movie or Sound of Music in their list. That's to show you motion picture interest is very divergent.
Lastly the topic said top movies one like to watch over and over. I'm sure most ppl who dropped a comment will acknowledge LOTR trilogy as a great movie in their list. But questions are
Does it make their top 5? Do they like to watch it severally over? What interests them in a movie? Is it knowledge, adventure, intelligence, research, morals, contemporary trends and beliefs, technology, history, or art?
The priority we place will always be different and automatically affect which movies make our different list. I love Harry Potter for example, most people do but if it doesn't make their top 5, I am not qualified to think they are not great movie fans.
Learn to respect people's choice and not judge their sentiments. The fact that LOTR makes your list doesn't make you a great movie fan, the fact that LOTR doesn't make their list doesn't make you a better movie fan than them.
The OP wanted and/or was expecting diverse lists from different people that's why the thread was created. If everyone is to have the same idea of "Top 5" then we would have a boring thread full of repetition.
LOTR, 2012, Unfaithful, War of the Arrows, In Time, Titanic, Immitation Game, Theory of Everything, Django Unchained......are all movies I love to watch over and over but they didn't make my Top 5 because 5 can't be 15 or 20, five is 5.
What you think is your opinion, it's yours and yours alone not a criterion for being a great movie fan.

My all time movies... difficult but I'd pick these.
1. The Great Debaters During post-abolition US 1935, a black professor who is also a labor union leader, entrenches in his black students knowledge, equality and proactive emancipation of the black man from the superior whites. Through his debate team-The Wiley College team and they were the First Negro College to defeat Havard University in a debate.
Based on true life events. Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Denzel Whitaker.
2. The Ultimate Gift A very wealthy man died and left a vast wealth tangibles and intangibles. In his will, he wanted his first grandson to inherit the family's wealth. He gave only scanty properties to his other children due to their profligate tendencies. However, his first son whom he would have preferred coz he's different had died and has a son -the grandson.
The grandson will only be eligible to claim the gifts (wealth) if and only if he passes some tests through tasks administered and monitored by the family attorney who is the best friend to the boy's grandpa.
3. In Pursuit of Happyness The travails and triumphs of a stock exchange protege-Christopher who beat all odds to be the best father to his son while deserted by his wife....
Based on true events. Will Smith and his son Jayden Smith
4. '3 Idiots' A movie i recommend for all Jambites during orientation. It's about 3 undergrads in Engineering school. The facts, fictions, twists and plots that life has to offer and how diverse factors affect decisions we make and consequences. The movie balances humor, romance, morals, knowledge.
5. Saworoide A Yoruba all-time classic from Mainframe productions. Depicts the socio-economic events that happened in Nigeria under Babangida/Shonekan/Abacha.
Set in a town Jogbo, the permutations of culture and governance, the corruption of the leaders and betrayal s thereof.
I never get tired of #1 and #5. I can recite the movies line for line, scene by scene. |

TechCapon: which is the more reason we need VAR. This is world cup, a whole country cannot suffer and be sent of out the tournament simply because referee didn't have a good viewing angle. We need mistakes to be eliminated as much as possible. What if VAR now aids the referees sentiments. Nigeria lost a couple of chances...to net the ball, that is no VAR fault at all. But Every Tom dick and blind knows that the final decision, which still lies with the referree could be for or against and in the case of NIG-ARG, the referee will most likely award the PK for Argentina even without consulting VAR if tables were turned... People are not criticizing VAR really, they're saying it has afforded the referree an excuse for the bias they've always shown. |

Sports › Re: The VAR Controversy And Why Nigeria Needs To Be Careful Against Argentina by mytym(m): 12:46am On Jun 27, 2018 |
P zicoraads: This year's World Cup is very different for many reasons. But perhaps, the most glaring one is the use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). For long, contentious decisions in the most watched sport in the world has affected the outcome of several matches. One of the most controversial is the "Hand of God" incident. In what was one of the most infamous incidents of World Cup history, Argentina's Diego Maradona used his hand to score when jumping for the ball with England goalkeeper Peter Shilton in the 1986 quarter-finals in Mexico City.
The officials did not spot the offence and the goal was given, with Maradona later telling reporters he was helped by the "Hand of God".
This led to calls for an independent review of decisions before the centre referee took a final decision. But has it really been worth the wait?
The truth is, several decisions in this World Cup have been correctly decided by the VAR. Against Iceland, a lot of Nigerians watching that match hoped that the centre referee would stand by his decision not to award the penalty against Nigeria. The second he decided to consult the VAR, we all knew that decision will change.
But how about the Morocco Vs. Spain and Iran Vs. Portugal games? Did the VAR pass its auditions? With Portugal and Spain's qualification not yet assured, the outcome of both matches was very important. So how did the referee fail to spot what seemed like an offside goal (the one that made it 2-2) even after reviewing it on VAR? Or how did the referee fail to award C. Ronaldo a red card even after the lengthy review? Or the contentious decisions that characterized the match?
For some reasons, it seemed the odds were deliberately stacked against Iran and Morocco yesterday, being the relatively smaller teams.
With most international pundits and even the international media already writing off Nigeria, the Super Eagles need to be very careful in how they approach today's final game. If anything, yesterday's matches showed that when the occasion is grand, the smaller teams suffer from the decisions of the VAR, compared to the big teams. You were right absolutely! If tables were turned, the referee and every other referees in this FIFA scam will award the penalty after viewing the VAR. |

Jesus says God is a spirit and those who worship him should do so in spirit and in truth
You see our level of understanding differs like you rightly said earlier. My wife is a member of mountain of fire prayer ministry. So because of her understanding, I usually buy a wine that contain alcohol once in a while and drinks it when she is not around to avoid unnecessary aguement. It is between me and my God. And my conscience is clear. When you did not perform very well on bed na she go still call you a lazy man
Happy Sunday. Amen bro. Thanks Holy spirit teaches us ALL things. The greatest sin a mortal can commit is to Judge another human being coz one would be acting God. Followed closely by Pride and not showing empathy(I refrain from using 'love'). Be gentle on her o, a colleague said trophy enhances erection . Really whether she complain or not, if you are not satisfying her enough with your body...that one sef na sin o I don't take alcohol. I've taken it before but no Pope can tell me its a sin. Im not mfm member but i attended mfm Power Must Change Hands yesterday, I didn't go to church lastweek and today and my conscience is clear. I was born and raised with full CAC doctrine by my parents who had been born Anglican themselves. My grandparents were Anglican. I attend Anglican now coz I love hymns and good church music. Thats how free the truth will make us to be. Not the freedom to sin but the freedom from all sorts of ignorance and perpetual pseudo-spirituality. The endgame of gospel of Jesus is Truth that makes the believer immune from ALL ignorance. That's why he said he will send us the comforter-Holy spirit that will teach us ALL things. A time is coming when we wont need to go to church (building) any more. A time when there'd be more pastors and churches but fewer truths...Holy spirit will be operating at absolute function in its abundance in each believer. Churches will function more like a 'hospital' where you go only when there's a need. It will be a gathering point for sharing testimony or a place to submit welfare materials to needy and missionary purposes. It will also serve as a deliverance point. There's even more knowledge now through the holy spirit in this dispensation than the days of Apostle Paul. Invariably, Romans 1:28 if we retain God in all our knowledge, God will not allow us to wallow in sins that will make our spirit to dwell in inconvenience. That is my humble definition of grace. So na grace we need. Have an amazing week bro and warm regards to your wife. |

Neroclassic001: Yes, as a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit and moreover a shepherd of God's flock. Haba! You would be insensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. What goes into a man does not defile a man but what comes out of the spirit. If after drinking juice or yoghurt or water, you start having impous thoughts and speak vain words you are as guilty as a man who took alcohol and started spewing thrash or displaying untoward expressions. It's this utterances or expressions or thoughts or actions/inactions that come out of ones spirit that defileth the man. We are spirits inhabiting a body. Since we can't control what happens after taking alcohol, its usually and doctrinally advisable to stay away. Excessive consumption of alcohol (imutipara) is the sin. Just as excessive consumption of anything is a sin. Too much food, sleep, water, talk, are all paths to sinning. Even too much fasting (harming your body), the temple is a sin because that body is not yours. For clearer and sound judgment, it's healthy to stay away from alcohol. And because a young convert who sees a devout taking alcohol may assume it's okay to take alcohol whereas the young convert is a suckling spiritually who may actually backslide from indulgence just bcoz he saw a deacon/elder/priest taking such...for such a reason it's ultimately preached to kuku stay away from taking any alcohol so you don't lead another man to sin or fall back to their vomit. A lot of things are human religion that has nothing to do with righteousness but we include them cozvwe think they might help us in living a heaven-conscious life. A believer who doesn't have empathy or a believer that keeps malice but don't take alcohol is worse off. A believer who doesn't drink nor fornicate but has pride is a worse candidate than an alcoholic. That's why the theory of relativity is the greatest concept yet...Jesus Christ always apply relativity by using Parables to drive home very important messages. All our righteousness are like filthy rags because human righteousness is relative. Only the Trinity is Holy! Galatians 5.21(Drunkenness)... Imutipara! Grace Alone. |

Toks2008: I have heard many ladies use these words over and over again...'if he loves me he will never cheat on me'
Before you start wondering why i chose this topic let me make it clear that 9 out of every 10 marriages that hit the rocks usually have infidelity as a reason and in most cases it comes from the men yet if you ask these men, they will tell you they love their wives dearly but this usually do not go down well with the women who strongly believe a man can not love them and still cheat on them.
So i want to leave this question open for everyone to give their opinion so i ask...'Can a man love his woman dearly and still cheat on her?'
. . A man is capable of love and infidelity simultaneously towards his partner. It doesn't reduce his love at all and loving her dearly doesn't make him immune from cheating. That requires discipline. |

Education › Re: Differences Between The Gmat And Gre by mytym(m): 7:21am On Apr 13, 2018*. Modified: 8:24am On Apr 13, 2018 |
Chidinho10: 1. I have written both exams in three attempts (GMat once and GRE twice) and I have strong knowledge of both of them.
2. Your assertion that GRE is question adaptive is false. GRE is section adaptive, it adapts to your performance on the previous section. Mind you, question adaptive and section adaptive are two very different things. See proof here
https://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/scores/how/
The GMAT on the other hand, the business school GMAT, is question adaptive. That is, each question adapts according to your performance on the previous one. That is why you can't skip questions on the GMAT because your performance on one question determines the next question you get (whether easy, hard or medium) . But on the GRE, you can skip questions WITHIN a section (another proof that it is SECTION adaptive). Here is proof
https://www.kaptest.com/gmat/what-is-the-gmat
3. As I said, the GMAT you are referring to is not the one jarshub is referring to. Job application GMAT and business school GMAT are different even in their meanings. Job application GMAT means Graduate xxxxxx Aptitude Test while the one for business school means Graduate Management Admissions Test
4. GMAT has an AWA section as well. In fact, it has an Integrated Reasoning section too that GRE doesn't have. I'm sure you're referring to the job aptitude test that was why you didn't know that GMAT has AN AWA section. It's similar to that of GRE just that GRE asks two questions (issue and argument) while GMAT asks one question (argument)
Also, there is nothing research-like about the AWA on GRE. I agree with you that it tests your reasoning skills but there is no correlation between that and research. Any Tom, Dick and Harry with good writing skill can ace it.
5. So try and understand that there is a GMAT for job test and GMAT for business school admissions. Both of them are different even in the meanings of their acronyms.
6. I agree with you that business schools prefer people with work experience.
7. From my experience, I agree with Jarushub. GMAT Quant is more difficult while GRE verbal is easier. Overall, GMAT tends to be more difficult from my experience cos learning how to deal with the question adaptive nature of the exam is another test on its own (hahaha)
8. I still assert that the GMAT has a more complicated marking scheme from the GRE and this is caused by the question adaptive nature of it. In fact, no one has been able to accurately predict the marketing pattern of the GMAT but there are GRE score predictions tools developed by Indians that is 99% accurate.
Not all questions are scored on the GMAT. Out of the 37 questions Quant and 41 questions in verbal, some of the questions you see are experimental and you don't know which of the questions are experimental cos you don't have a hint like it's done on the GRE. You don't even know how many of the questions are experimental. Also, the difficulty in understanding the marking scheme has led to several myths which are untrue.
But on the GRE, one whole section is experimental and it can be predicted with up to 70% accuracy cos they are generally more difficult and have a similar question pattern with one of your previous sections.
I think I've said enough Thank you Well said, good information but from what you said i believe you wanted to type that GMAT has more complex quantitative while the verbal is easier than GRE. GRE has seemily less cumbersome quantitative (An intelligent SS 2 student sound in Further math can ace it). If you have written both like you claimed, then you should know that the Issue based verbal on GRE is the same as Integrated Reasoning for GMAT and the reason both exams have either not included. The grading system is such that incorrect options for a particular GRE question carry different degree of arbitrariness hence different weight. Only the right option assumes absolute mark for that question. The degree of deviation from the right answer is what the system uses to judge the taker for the next question regardless of skipping. Skipping only saves time for the taker, it doesn't replace the position of a question. For instance, If you have answered first 3 questions and the fourth one seems difficult, skipping to the 5th or 6th or 10th, the system registers it as your '4th' and it's level of difficulty will be determined by the last question you answered (whether you answered correctly or incorrectly). Finally, Issue based verbal is not for all and sundry that can write. It's a faculty drilling exercise of testing the depth of the taker's expression of knowledge exposures. I have not written GMAT and I'm not contesting that there 2 kinds of GMAT..., I know there's a separate GMAT for MBA other than the popular GMAT job tests. My argument is that even the GMAT for Most AMBA is still job tailored. My stand is the grading system for GRE is looking for an adept academic while that of GMAT is looking for a strategic jobber more succinctly, a business strategist. Thanks for your time. |

The summary of the bolded is simply telling you it is adaptive to the the takers knowledge, intelligence and aptitude per question. mytym: But the grading method is way more complex than gmat.
It gives you question based on difficulty level. If you answer a very simple question wrongly, the next will even be simpler. If you then pass that one, then it brings questions slightly above...And gradually increasing difficulty level for each question you answered correctly. That means it judges ones knowledge/aptitude per question... Increasing or decreasing the complexity whenever a question is passed or failed accordingly.
If you manage to get all the questions correctly except the first one missed. Then they may not carry so much weight depending on difficulty of the first question that was answered wrongly.
The opposite happens if the first question is very tough/difficult but answered correctly, the next questions will even be tougher....But if you manage to answer them correctly. The total weight is higher.
Ultimately, two people who got all questions correctly on a section, say Verbal in GRE may have different scores depending on the respective difficulty level of each question both answered correctly. |

Chidinho10: GMAT has a more complicated grading method. [b[It is a purely Computer Adaptive Test which adapts PER QUESTION, not PER SECTION like the GRE[/b]
Mind you, the GMAT Jahrushub is describing here is not the GMAT you write for job tests. This one is GMAT for admission strictly to business schools my earlier comments summarily is actually explaining that GRE is adaptive to the taker per question if you digested it well...I only mentioned verbal as an example. It does same for the quantitative. Ultimately the analytical writing In GRE is measuring the candidate's depth of faculty, in making sound versatile judgement. Which is more tailored for research. The GMAT jarushub is talking about is the one I'm talking about. The online MBA GMAT. Yes it's tailored for jobs. That's why most Business School prefer to admit folks that have field experience. People who have actually applied different business principles and strategies in a dynamic world are targets of Business Schools. To bring diverse methods and sector expertise to the classroom. |

Readonee35L: Thats why you have black tanks. Algae can't form in them since there is no sunlight Bravo. Every 2weeks, I used to wash the transparent filters that take flow to/fro our tank due algae production until one day our plumber suggested if I can wrap the transparent filters with Black polythene bags and seal tightly that there won't be any green substance forming. Immediately I knew "wow photosynthesis". Funny thing is he could not explain the science he just knew it won't grow for a long time. Last time I cleaned the filters was in 2016. Since I wrapped, no green coloration in water. |
