Please guys, I deferred my admission to January 2023. I want to know how I can change “intended date of arrival” on my ds160. I logged in but can only see “view confirmation page” or “create a new application”

How many times is one required to reschedule an appointment?

The point here is that she is yet to interview. Her emergency request was denied not a visa denial. You are entitled to two EA requests on one MRV so long you have not interviewed.

I already made up my mind to defer. Then use the gap period to check the portal for other available earlier dates. Thank you very much for all your inputs. I really appreciate.

What was your initial emergency request location? Whatever the case, you may re-apply immediately whether you are switching location or sticking to the same location. I believe once you log on to CGI, you should still see an emergency request option.

Unfortunately, you do not qualify for an additional expedited appointment at this time. Hence, I would advise you to defer your admission. Don't worry, the appointment portal will be updated later on. Therefore, you won't have to wait till May, 2023. Just keep checking the portal.

Hi guys. I requested for an emergency appointment which was done 35 days to resumption but was denied. Please what is the next step? Meanwhile, I’m to resume 16th August but the date I currently have is in May, 2023.

You can defer your admission anytime, deferring admission have nothing to do with Visa appointment date.
I will advice that you wait until you receive the response of the expedited appointment before you decide to defer your admission or not.

Hi. If you haven't already resolved this problem, try this: in the third box for school code, enter the next 5 digits, instead of 4 digits. Then the fourth/last box should contain the last 3 digits of the school code.

Thank you very much for your response. But I can only see 3 boxes. The 1st for the 3 alphabets, the 2nd for 5 digits/alphabet while the last one is for only 3 digits

Currently filling form I-901 and in the school information part, it keeps on showing invalid school code. I have done everything possible to no avail. So, I decided to come here and seek help. Is there any other way to fill the school code?

The program of study in my I-20 & admission letter slightly differs. The I-20 states HR Management/Personnel Admin while admission letter states HR Development. Those that have been in my shoes before, what did you fill out in your DS-160?

Yes I did. The instruction was to submit bank document & financial guarantee form, after which F-1 will be issued.

Please has someone experienced delay in the issuance of I-20. They actually did tell me to be patient, that the process will take 5 working days or more but it has gotten to 10 working days and no response yet. My program is to start 16th of August.

Go with the photocopies of the guarantors document. But you need to go with the passport photograph.

For me I had the guarantors credentials on my phone, I had to print it there.

A lot of colleges will exempt you if your transcript shows that your undergrad was delivered in english. Check the requirements on the school’s website to know for sure and work with it. Some programs may also accept Duolingo english test which is cheaper, faster and easier compared to ielts. If you’re applying for fall semester, you need to apply asap.

I believe you can pursue a masters degree with a post grad cert. If your gpa is high, please apply for a masters degree, if not consider a graduate cert or post grad diploma. I also would say that a grad cert is not inferior to a graduate diploma or a masters degree. If you still have doubts, there are many youtube channels that compare these programs and may provide you with more information as it did for me. Also, i advise that you focus on the course modules and co-op options to determine which program or college that’s best for you.

[I graduated with a 3.48 hence, opting for PgDip or Cert. I already have 3+ years work experience in HRM. Please is writing Ielts still necessary cos I’m currently studying to write one soon?
