Here comes this new regime that instituted a brilliant idea but as is usually the case when it comes to Nigeria they couldn't close the deal because of greediness. The floating of the Dollar rate using market force appears to be a brilliant idea but barring the major source of dollar to the masses is shortsighted. To really make the I&E FX window work, BDC (Bureau exchange) should have been allowed to participate as a buyer. The current setup means that BDC will be going to the bank to buy their Dollar. Just imagine Bank buys @ 744 then turn around and sells to BDC @ 795 guess what BDC will now turn around and sell @ 810 to the masses. The spread between the official window and the black market is just too freaking big.

Asari Dokubo is a private military contractor.

Most ex Niger Delta militants are private military contractors or security contractors for particular purposes.

Asari Dokubo started his security outfit to protect oil pipelines across the Niger Delta just like other rebel heads like Tompolo. President Buhari terminated their contracts and even declared some of them like Tompolo wanted.

The Nigerian armed forces, especially the Navy, couldn't do half of the job the private military contractors did. Nigeria's economy was at the brink of total collapse because of oil theft. Buhari brought back one of the many Oil Pipeline security contractors (Tompolo) and gave him the job of stopping oil theft since the Armed forces didn't do a good job like the contractors.

The services of other big private military contractors like Asari Dokubo were utilized by the Federal government to assist the Nigerian Armed Forces in fighting nationwide spread insurgency and terrorism outside of the Niger-Delta.

If you have ever heard of "Civilian JTF" in the fight against insurgency and terrorism in North East , then you'll understand that Private Military contractors operate in Nigeria.

Prior to Buhari's tenure, Goodluck Jonathan made use of majorly foreign private military contractors from South Africa.
