Don't be surprised to read that the contractor contacted the client but the client decided to leave out this fact.

At the point where there’s breach of trust, I doubt the client will accept anything that come from the contractor as truth.

The client asked me to act on the issue and feedback.

Even at moment, the client is not ready to clear anything until the installation is done and he can confirm if the material supplied is the original one.

Mountmoriah has delivered the roofing materials and installers are currently installing them. I was very nervous because of my previous Fraud experience on this platform. Also, the gap of communication he created exacerbated the whole situation. Sure, there was sinister motive behind his silence but thank God I acted fast. My advice to anyone dealing with contractors on this platform or anywhere else is to be on your toes....

Madam, that's you opinion but you know a for a fact that the client didn't first break the deal.

Client said supplier promised to deliver in 24hrs, 48hrs later supplier has not even communicated the client with any update. We all understand encumbrances and that they always happen. Even if the supplier lost his phone, he should've known the urgency in which he needs to communicate since he is in a middle of a deal and the table is on him, his reputation is also at stake but the supplier clearly failed.

I have lost several business opportunities just because I refused to promise the client his expected timeline. Everytime I did that the client got himself into problems.

The supplier failed even if he later delivered

Where did you read that version that he hasn’t been in touch with the client after 48 hours?

Do you think he could have flew to Iwo road when we took over the matter last night?

I agree there was communication lapse which we are going to help our verified suppliers/contractors/owner builders work on but does that make him deserve the tag “Fraudster and Scammer.”

He wasn’t a scammer when he delivered woods to the site without payment but he was one because he couldn’t deliver within 48 hours.

This isn’t over yet until the client issue an IMMEDIATE RETRACTION of the libelous allegation and an express and unambiguous APOLOGY on this thread, nairaland and kobocity with the same or greater prominence, circulation and distribution.

The said malicious and libelous allegation was deliberately and repeatedly published and circulated by the client with the full knowledge and/or awareness of its consequences and implications on the feeling, integrity, character, office, business, status and reputation of @mountmoriah.

This unfounded and malicious allegation also violates sections 391 to 395 of the Penal Code Act as well as section 24 of the Cybercrimes Act.

We will protect the interest of both parties.

I hv run a logistics company and still manage a supply chain . I know the challenges . U cant label someone a fraudster without tangible proofs. 48hrs to rushed off to ur Name calling. If u don't trust the process , dont make a deal . Now you hv succeeded in Labeling him a Fraudster and having ur roofing sheet , what happens to the irreparable damage u have done against his Name ??

Anxiety and distrust sets in with lack of communication.
Whatever the outcome, next impressed me with the role he played.

This is one of the many reasons we created the kobocity platform and I’m happy our very first fraud allegation was well managed.

There has been lots of unpleasant issues on this thread in recent time.

There’ll always be unpleasant issues when we chose not to do the right thing.

Great leaders set the stage and watch for things that undermine result. They don’t go to sleep and wait till crisis escalates before issuing apology notes neither do they do backdoor settlement.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

For those who are claiming that @mountmoriah is the same as @hsl-broker, why wait till there’s issue before coming out with this claim.

I confronted him on this and he said he knew hsl-broker but he’s not the same person. This will be a tough thing for me to confirm as I’m not the admin of this site.
During our verification, I won’t be asking if he’s Hsl-broker or not

Two platforms were named on this issue, one took it upon itself to see that the issue was resolved within the shortest time possible. I can’t say what’s happening at the other side.

In a shortwhile, we will release an official statement from kobocity on how our esteemed audience should handle their transactions moving forward.

I am not promoting anyone. What I’m doing this night is what I’d do for anyone else whether he’s a Musa, Ikenna, Jimoh, or Uwem or whether he’s a diaspora client or a friend in the hood.

I’m not too busy to watch the platform we built get destroyed because of laxity on the part of those who are meant to steer the ship.

Update: Live location as at 10:23pm Fri 25th Feb 2021

Update: They’re currently around Ojo and few mins away from Igbo Oloyin (the site).

According to him, he hasn’t been to the site before. He has only sent his carpenters there.
He also said they were stopped by the armies around Ojo because of ongoing ethnic crisis between the Yoruba and the Fulanis in the area.

I had to cut the call because some of the people in the background required his attention.

Live location ended at 10:29pm because he clicked 15 mins. I’ve asked him to reshare his location.

Stay away from Rabiu Kehinde Adeniyi a.k.a Mountmoriah . He is a Criminal and Fraudster. I paid him #1, 369, 750 to supply me Roman stone coated roofing sheets and accessories. I haven't heard of him till now. All his lines switched off. I sent the payment to his GTB account number 0007312835. I trusted him based on the fact that he delivered wood to my site and I paid on delivery for the wood. After gaining my trust, he took measurements of my roof and opined to supply me the roofing sheets. I transferred to him for 48 hours now and haven't received the materials. I spoke with him this morning and he said they were on their way to Ibadan currently at Guru maharaji. Told him to snap the himself with the vehicle conveying the materials to my site since 10 am, he went off immediately and have been off since. I later called, him two lines switched off.

On the same night the allegation was raised, I have ongoing discussion with you and a couple of nairalanders.

I personally chatted you less than 24 hours after the allegation was raised and even show you why I couldn’t reply (screenshot).
I didn’t get any response to my chat from you up till moment but I saw a lot of unnecessary comments trying to show the world/forum/community how I offered incoherent explanation and was beating about the bush bla blah...

As if that wasn’t enough, the project we were discussing was given to another contractor (Well, he’s my brother too) and you came to rub it off on me. I have no issues with that though.

What else do I need to read/see to know your stand on the issue? I didn’t assume. There are every pointer that you already concluded that the accuser is right and I am wrong.
It’s not high expectation or chastisement, it’s just a complete error of judgement. What happens to fair hearing

At the same time, 2 nights after the issue 2 people from the platform committed funds to handle their project. They saw the story but moved on. We’ve tidied up their job without issues.

I handle scores of issues like this on a daily basis. Even most people dread to bring up issues like this to me because they knew I’ll always sue for peace. I still handled one some few weeks ago between a reputable builder and a client and it ended well.
I’ve mediated in a supplier vs builder issue even without both parties knowing I was involved up till date.
