erico2k2:Even we need it in all construction sites but I don't know how to explain it. We will definitely get there one day. I'm sure this is not the first Naija production factory pics or vid you've seeing. |
Meanwhile, I got introduced to new friends from the Republic of China. #lightweightSteelRoofPros #ProTilers

mufutau55:Hajji! What about juju soccer? India vs Nigeria ![]() Since I hear about "Ondo Mama" thingy. I don eat my words. Infact, I've restored the last page that I tore off. #ItsTimeForJujuMusic |
gbadexy:Land is the only good thing you can chop remain for your kids. Even when you build them houses they still want to build theirs and do not want to spend their money renovating your building to their taste. |
gbadexy:Omo Onile for where land is selling 250k. Bros, consider the positives. The same land sells elsewhere for N300m (it may even be worse). You no go buy land and even do community projects for the indigenes so that they can adopt you as one of their lost son ![]() All of us be Omo Onile! |
mavverick:Baba, we just have to start from somewhere. All these things are happening because of the alignment and weaker opposition party. Lagos state was working unilaterally before now. In fact, all states were working independently and that's what killed the good plan of having a coastal road because Lagos and PH, Enugu and Imo, Ondo and Benin etc do not have a common goal. The day I knew that you can drive down to ondo state on motorbike from Lagos (less than 90 mins), I only shook my head in despair. How long are we going to allow things to deteriorate. I believe Nigeria is going to witness a great change in a very shortwhile. We just need to be constantly updated of the little progresses been made. I think Kano-Ibadan Rail is almost ready so everything will be fine one day. As par fast trains, Oga make we even see one first. I believe you'll be happier to hear Naija celebrated 2 months of uninterrupted 150V power supply than hoping for 220v that does seem to be competing with second coming of Jesus Christ. I'll be 4 decade in this country soon. Let me see train, light and meaningful developments all over the state. Naija is not only Lagos state. Abeg! ![]() |
luckyehis:Noted. I promise it won't be a long wait. |
gbadexy:Acres still between 250 and 600 max. Only the optimists will see sense in this. The pessimists will say "no be government project" I thank God for the Chateau decision. Now everything is falling into right place. The new Mile 12 is just 20 mins backdoor (now I can buy cheap at cheap cost in the shortest time possible), 4th mainland is just 30 mins (by road @ 120km/hr), Iperu National Rail Station (Lagos to Calabar) is just 12 mins so I can go to see spyder880 by train without sweat, and Home Sweet Home (Egba Alake) is just 40 mins on 80km/hr. Why will I not thank God. Don't be surprised if I choose to move NextHome Brick+Stone to a location near cheap materials and also nearer to the train station. Hopefully we will become the first company to sell blocks per crate. Crate of 24 is N4,000 with crate to Lagos. ![]() That's the whole idea. Businesses can choose to be where it's most convenient once there's easy means of transportation. God bless Nigeria! |

agarawu23:Ibadan to Lagos is just 135.9km. That's less than an hour journey for a 150km/hr train. Add the train stops and pickup at stations, you'll have maximum of 1hr 30mins to Lagos which means you can wake up 5:30am in Ibadan, get to the train station by 6:00am and arrive Lagos by 7:30am and take city cab to your final destination. A very good plan towards easing congestion in Lagos state. Now imagine if you're going from Ogun. You can choose to leave your house by 7:15am |
agarawu23:Sure. The most interesting part of this is the investment drive and opportunity to reach even more difficult areas. Some bushes may actually become a haven in not too distant future. That's the power of rail transit. |
Update on Metro and Intercity Rails | Lagos - Ibadan Rail (hoping to be the fastest rail in Nigeria 150km/hr). To Be Ready in the next two and half years - Amaechi. https://www.nairaland.com/3153034/lagos-ibadan-rail-line-ready-2#46370530 |
kolaa007:uPVC Windows looks cleaner and better than aluminum Windows though not cheaper. I agree Lekki County is the place to go if you want to see how beautiful uPVC Windows can look after installation. Another place where it is largely used is the RCCG camp. The hardware are more sturdier than the ones on aluminum. Good job kolaa007

Faulty Designs @ OP, if you compare the 2 roof designs below, you'll agree without mention that one is setup for failure while the other is well planned to prevent leakage and maintenance. Leakages happen at every point where water have contact with a wall. Setting up a roof to hit the wall directly is a sure recipe for roof leakage. Well done! Have a good day bro!

spyder880:Sure. The only thing that draw more energy from the inverter is the 65W air cooler. Every other thing are less than are battery operated. I've been using the air cooler and inverter solution for more than 3 years now and 10 hours uninterrupted power supply is guaranteed in each room I have it. 1. Internet Modem/Router (battery operated and can last more than 18 hours on Voice and Data) 2. Lights - 8 - 10W LED lights will do. 3. CCTV monitor to be battery operated if not remotely monitored via Internet. (I can get a very good Chinese model) That's all.

spyder880:@ spyder880, here's my simple safe roof plan for a 2 bedroom house. Notes: 1. Safe room is slabbed 2. Safe room has a 14ft headroom (the head room spaces serves as areas to install cabinets for emergency needs such as first aid kits, snacks, emergency mobile phones, inverter, CCTV systems, and defense mechanisms) 3. There's provision for a ladder to access the roof slab. The access only lead into a small 2x2ft door which can only be opened from the safe room. 4. Safe room runs on dedicated 1.5kva inverter with 2 x 200amps battery that can power the room for more than 15 hours. 5. Safe room security door (barn door style) are locked from inside the room. It's a floor to ceiling steel+concrete door 6. Safe room have Air Cooler/Humidifier with exhaust/vent in the roof. 7. Safe room have first aid kits and Snacks/Water to last 6 people for 72 hours 8. Safe room have a dedicated internet router with hidden SSID 9. Safe room have a TV to monitor the hidden spy cameras in the building 10. Safe room have dedicated mobile lines that no one have access to. 11. Safe room have a single sofa to bunk bed. Just what I can come up with in the least time possible. I know it can be improved upon. But one thing for sure is this, the safe room is built with concrete and not block walls (not even triple wall)

twinskenny:Thanks. I have a very limited time for the setup. I may have to hire if all efforts to buy fail. |
mufutau55:Talking about the Roof Installer "Nnamdi" More importantly is the need to exercise some patience with him when engaged because he handles his job like a baby and personally. No need to rush him and regret later which is mostly the case with most roofing jobs. People gets too excited to have a roof over their house forgetting roof and foundation are the most important parts of a house that cannot be easily amended. I'm sure Madam Toonaki (the owner of the project posted) would have been here to express her grievances if she didn't get what she wanted. Sir Farm1 and so many other I've recommended him to had never had cause to come back here to complain about his job and their projects are beautifully crafted. Everyone I've recommended him to knew I always preach patience and I'm happy they gave him what he needed. I personally endorse him.

diordaves:I agree completely! Mod to the plan: The guest bed is now turned into children living/bedroom and only accessible from the "L-shaped" lobby. Take a closer look at this plan, all the baths do not have protector but doors that can be locked from the WIC. Any access through the bath window which are lockable from inside ends inside the bath/toilet unless someone left the door opened. Should there be fire in any of the room, the smoke alarm will alert the other occupants to move to a safe spot at the lobby. If fire starts from the lobby, the alarm at the entry point of all rooms will alert each occupant to escape through their bathroom window. If there's fire in the kitchen, the occupants of the rooms will be safe cos it'll take about 4 - 5 hours of heavy fire before it can spread to any of the rooms. If there's an attempt to break-in from the lobby, there's an access to a safe room from the lobby for all the occupants. As per using "juju" to prevent unauthorized entry, I no fit talk o but I agree completely with agarawu23 on Ososa people. * The whole room are completely off-grid and runs on DC-AC power. Possibility of surge is 100% eliminated.

ottersberger:You live off campus... OK. I know I'll get it around me. Just not sure of where my old suppliers are located again. Thanks for the effort. Much appreciated sire. |
@ Hajji Mufutau55, Found this old "Nnamdi" job done for a Nairalander in 2014 and I felt I should share it here. Window in the roof attic by Nnamdi McBasil 08062444363 (Remember to quote 'Bosun' for 5% discount) #MyNo1Roofer

ottersberger:Yes. Thanks, I want something rugged for road surveillance. But I don't know much about the street anymore even though the game still needs me. Any lead to where I can get this for my Axis cameras in Lagos? |
t3stm3:Bros, stop thinking! There are lot of areas to invest in and partner with the government on a PPP arrangement (safe and secure investment). Security is a major one. Lagos needs more hands on deck to tackle insecurity. #1stHandInfo __________ Ajah Flyover update: Roundabout sealed up. Motorist now diverted to Alternative Routes at Ikota, Resettlememt Village, and Royal Garden. No thoroughfare at Ajah roundabout again. Not in the next 12 months. Good time to schedule a visit to the construction yard of the contractor. Let see what the precast elements look like. |
t3stm3:I'm not sure when orange line will commence but what I'm definitely sure of is that it's not too distant future because it'll help ease off congestion on the 4th Mainland Bridge. Follow up LMRT timeline here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Rail_Mass_Transit
|
t3stm3:Almost there. Some stations are been furnished already.

@ Twinskenny, please where can I get a very good outdoor aluminium housing? Thanks.

Upcoming: The Orange Line (Redemption Camp - Marina) #WiseInvestors Baba gabod, this is a dream come true! Right decision made. |
LASG is busy fixing the jigsaw puzzle. Epe 10 lane connecting Ikorodu and Ijebu Ode is no 2 on the map below. That's exactly the point where it connects to the 4th Mainland Bridge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZvW2mbXox0 #4thMainlandBridge #TheMissingLink #ConnectingTheDots

GOV AMBODE MULLS 10-LANE LAGOS-IJEBU ODE EXPRESSWAY Tuesday June 30, 2015 Indications have emerged that Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode is considering constructing a 10 -lane expressway starting from Ikorodu axis in Lagos through, Itoikin, Epe to Ijebu Ode in Ogun state. The governor, who hinted on the plans at an interactive session with stakeholders in the state, said his administration would give priority attention to infrastructure. Ambode said, “We must start thinking of the future concerning that road. We said we will have an international airport in Epe and an export processing zone in Lekki and a seaport also in Lekki. What does that mean for that road? “When you take your freight from the deep seaport and export processing zone (EPZ), will you take the same road? So what is the future? We missed something between Oshodi and Murtala Mohammed International Airport; there is no fast-track rail that can take goods straight to the airport. Should we also miss that here? Those are the issues that we are looking at. _________ Fast forward to 2016, here are pics from the ongoing Epe 10 lane road.

kobenol:Good! You need to be constantly updated of new ways of getting things done. The industry is constantly evolving and only the few who rise up to the challenge can stay relevant. |
