msogunro:Just this for now.

segcymoor:90 mins anywhere from Lekki/Ajah by road or waterways through Ikorodu, you're there tomorrow for sight-seeing. 4th Mainland is over 900 days away. #SayNoToDeadSpaces #TeamFunctionOverForm |
mufutau55:Mods like the Porch. +1 with you Sir. And you should know my preference. Gentle. Friendly. Calm. Not Troublesome... I'm not planning to host World Cup and have you referee a match without whistle at the Chateau ![]() #VibrantAndEnergetic #WhatHappenedInVietnam |
mufutau55:Everyone is welcome so long they pass through level 3 security for your interest and mine. How many coming? Porch sits 10 conveniently. Lounge will do 12. Compound 40 men, 15 cars. If there are more, we will detail them on the adjoining streets and the perimeters. _________ #NotWastingBulletsTonight #YouWinCarryCup |
mufutau55:Hmm! You, an ex mod on this section, mod ify your last msg to add new line that you're coming to my mod ified building which has only been visited a Nairaland mod erator, not even colleagues or clients. I'll prepare ground a big reception. I hope you no dey shy sha! ![]() We go treat you like village King. |
mufutau55:He asked for eye glasses and I had to increase the font of the text for him to read a more legible words. Beside, his request was for an orator to write him an epic response... Anyway, long and short of the whole exercise is this I'm not a fan of an ante room. Never Had, Never Will.
|
FastShipping:Tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, here's something close to the table in pic 2 picked from Romel Furnitures, ISC Lagos
|
If by tomorrow I show a picture of a dog-legged staircase, someone else will say I didn't mention staircase was modified o. I saw straight flight. If by next week, I show a picture of another double door in the living room to the family area, another person will say we are talking about what we see and not what you built. If I show picture of a lounge without bar, some set of people will say baba baraburus, this is not what you posted online. Na wa o! Why ignore the comment "a lot of mod" in the first place? |
mufutau55:I like the way you put it. My chateau is in Sagamu. Will you be able to send someone to go and get you as-built plan so that you can know what mods have been done? They can do it as early as possible tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, here are the mods. - No bar - No straight flight staircase - No waiting room - No guest bedroom opening to the dining - No partitioning of the kids playroom and guest bedroom - Double double introduced in the lobby/hallway - TV position changed - Double glass block flank the entry door as against one in the old drawing. Now, if you find anything different from that by tomorrow morning 12:00 noon latest, then you can come and say something about Brabus. I'm still struggling to understand why this is so difficult. Should I have say "This plan is Brabus Chateau that the waiting room, guest bedroom door removed, laundry cancelled, straight flight stair cancelled..." Or "This plan is Brabus Chateau and a lot of mods have been made to the guest area" We are not talking about one or two modifications here. More than 10 changes have been effected. Anyway, there's no ante room in my chateau. |
segcymoor:Me Ke? I'm only making reference to my comment on the plan posted not even the house. You know it na. When there's a comment on any drawing. You follow the comments and not the drawing because it's there for a reason. My comment on the plan reads "Plan has been modified" and not "Plan is as-built" So if you ignore the comment and follow the plan posted then you're the one who's wrong and not me. Do you agree? Architects in the house, do you agree? ____ @ Hajji Mufutau55, My response above still suffice. This little thing we are talking about is very very important. Even segcymoor will agree with me that you need to pay attention to every comments on a drawing otherwise one may make a serious mistake on site. You can go back and read my post again and my specific comment on the drawing. The best thing to do is to ask, what modifications have you made on this drawing in case one wants to build the same house or something. Then I can come up with list of mods done. |
cleric:Apologize for making it clear from onset that I'm posting an old plan which has been modified. Or do you think I modified my comment after segcymoor quoted me? Why do you guys make an issue out of nothing? And what will the apology do? Put an ante room in a house that doesn't have one. Or give a better sleep? Now I understand! ________ I don't have an ante and I never need one. Sorry! Visitors are either in or out not in-between. Those chairs in the pic are for visitors that made it pass my gate in case you don't know. Anything after that is the living room or dining. Abi make we show the whole house so that we can proof ante room no dey? Na wa o! Thank you anyway for saying something about Brabus.
|
brunofarad:Yes o! We rock the show. |
n3xt: segcymoor:Yes! 1 Day Comprehension Class after the Eye Test won't be a bad idea. ![]() |
agarawu23:I'll have a welder fabricate this for me at a very reasonable cost. Just that I'm a bit lazy this days. |
segcymoor:What I'm saying is that I'm not having an ante because I don't want doors that lead directly outside my house. I think different! _____ In pic attached, the visitor have their place outside. And the second pics shows the blind opened and a view of the out world from the settee. The cake was Val cake. Don't mind me! So, for me, visitors are either in our out! Not in-between #WhatDoYouThink?
|
agarawu23:They're sliding shutters as can be seen in the picture. |
Agarawu23, here's trellidor shutters. I'm sure a good welder can do this for you.
|
segcymoor:Sure you need a good eye glass bro!! Meanwhile I've increased the font size. Try again ![]() n3xt: |
agarawu23:I'm not asking you to follow my method. I'm just telling you to think of the reason why you wanted an openable burglar proof is to have a means of escape in case there's fire. However, isn't it far more better to think of how to prevent the spread of fire in the first place. If it's a built up house, it won't be a bad idea to think of collapsible burglar proofs like the one Trellidoors is marketing |
Segcymoor, where's the ante room? Wetin I wan take am do? With all the spaces shown here and there. So unfortunate, I cannot do a walk through video for you until December. The porch door opened directly into the dining, with the back parlor just to the right. Once you make it past the porch, you're more than a casual friend. Pics: 30sqm Porch and Kitchen Dry Area in case you come in wet.
|
agarawu23:There's no point disguising. You only need a good fire exclusion strategy and good security system. All my rooms run on DC Power from the Solar-Powered inverter. Unless there's a serious fire I really don't know what will cause spread of fire from room to room. They all have POP, fire-rated laminated floors and tiles and mainboard is placed in the lobby. I really don't want to share this floor plan until I'm sure the coast is clear and the enemies camp don cease fire Otherwise, here's the old ground floor plan to see what was done. A lot of mod has been made to the guest area as it affects the upper floor. The guest area is completely cut off from the family area. #What'sAtStake

toys2seven:Suffice to say the government has failed us in Nigeria woefully. Buildings collapse because the Standard Organization are sleeping while substandard iron rods are been sold into the market. Of course, where there's no consequence, evil will triumph. How do we explain learning design within 4 weekends. What will the person be taught?
|
FastShipping:5 years running without burglary in the guest area of my chateau. Any masked men who could breach level 1 & 2 security without awakening the dogs and the motion detectors must be a Tom Cruise. No single burglar proof in the guest area not even the kitchen and ancilliary rooms. #CeaseFire #WeCanStillBeFriendsYouKnow

Architectural Designs | Ideal Furniture Sizes and Spaces to Maximize Good Circulation. It's not compulsory to have this arrangement by default but it should help to make best of our designs. There are so many good designs on paper but they're non-functional when built because of lack of good space planning.

yuskol03:I think a preliminary site visit should be a must for any design architect prior to designing any building. Most of the time, people just buy architectural plans online without site visit only to discover that some of the design elements won't fit the lot they purchase. Critical factors to pay attention to includes the topography of the land, the soil condition, the streetscape (I hate designs that put a round peg in a square hole eg. Putting a 3 level building in midst of bungalows), orientation (at times the main design are placed in areas where you hardly notice them), position to maximize good airflow and so many more. I'm sure we will all agree these are no fault of the client. He's not the professional here.

xmileeasy:Very correct. Who could have imagined that the building attached is a bungalow with a pent structure. Lighter load. Safer structure. Yet beautifully crafted. There are so many beautiful concept like this around. We only need creative designers and architects. Thanks for sharing on this thread.
