3strikes:Simple Prayer for you and me! Just say amen just as you asked others to say amen. May our lives, the lives of our families, our kiddies, our unborn generations and all that lives and doesn't live that God gave us be ran the same way we both treated each other on your project. May God reward us both a billion fold the same way we dealt with each other (good or bad) Amen!!! Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I am bold to say it over and over. Can you? |
3strikes:Do you mean I did wrong restoring normalcy to your site when Omo oniles are distrurbing everyday? Can you explain what happened and who invited the police to your site? Meanwhile, those officers are my loyal junior brothers. Those that know will only smile at your stupidity. You want their names and childhood photographs that we took together The popular Nuru Bakare of Ogombo 07089844110 (the Omo Onile) that I used the mopo boys to stop can even attest to this. |

@ AZUH, where did you build this new house? |
, |
KolaShangOne:No. 3 though. |
erico2k2:People do this as well in local buildings. If only I can do a good search, I've posted this on one of my old thread very long time ago about a Benin Republic type of block used for residential construction. The same block (6" hollow) was used for the slab. It's over 4 years now. I'll repost here if I found it again. Still saw the building in Arepo, Ogun state last week and it has been occupied. I remember telling the guys to make me the special mold then. |

lastpage:I'll defer to the Pros in the house. Good time to learn the right way to do it. Meanwhile, I did pipe in columns before. Though, I ensured good concrete cover of at least 2" on 100mm pipes and more on 75mm drain pipes. The columns were wider and are supplemental columns. I found this method easier and cleaner than the traditional break wall/break beam to lay pipe approach. I don't know if it's wrong thing to do. I've also done pipe in beam to beat the traditional laying of pipes in slab for bikes that have high headroom and are having POP, or suspended ceiling covering. Cable trays can be installed in the void space to take care of cables and everything else. Cheaper and easier to maintain.

erico2k2:Age falsification will soon become a thing of the past in Naija. At least I can say that of the financial and telecommunication sector. The biometric capture and BVN is a step in right direction. Just last week, a lady was prevented from making withdrawals from her account just because her bank account information does not tally with her BVN records. My question is what happens to the overaged citizens. FGN, big question for you! #Nigeria #N-Power |
lastpage:The song "Take my heart and let it be..." comes to mind. I'm more interested in the http://npower.gov.ng/n-build/ In 2014 RealEstate conference, I actually met a guy who was in partnership with Lagos state to setup a training and skill acquisition center for building artisans and came to advertise to developers, builders and govt that they can get professional workers from the institution. I'll check my library to see if I can get something on the institute. I can only hope this will be structured the same way but the web link is more than enough to give an insight into the expected end result as it leads no where which might mean no concrete plan or "take and let-me-be" plan. |
erico2k2:This is Nigeria. Reverse engineering comes to mind. Everything is done in reverse here. I'm sure someone in the presidency requested the age limit thingy forgetting we have overaged adults at the helm of affairs. There's a demographic of people who are above those age that had ideas that can make Naija great. Maybe there's a new project for them. |

erico2k2:If we forget our roots, we may bear flowers but without fruit. If we ignore our past, our future will be blurred. We will fail to interpret our tomorrow. This is no issue to be flogged. Can Nigeria's democracy story ever been complete without the mention of the June 12 struggle? Whether for selfish or selfless gains, a few stood against the tyranny and oppressions to ensure we have the freedom we have today. And some people champion the course. 1993 is just 23 years ago and it's still fresh and alive in our mind. Every one have their dark side but those side shouldn't make us turn a blind eye to the positives and the sacrifices made to make a free Nigeria we are enjoying today. Again, this is no issue to be flogged. |
twinskenny:Congratulations. |

Remembering the Hero of Democracy There is no humiliation I have not endured, no snare that has not been put in my path, no “setup” that has not been designed for me in my endeavour to use the path of peace to enforce the mandate that you bestowed on me one year ago. - MKO Abiola

write2obi:Arise Nigeria! As far as in me lies, oil wells should be capped in this country. Oil has deadened our brain. We need to wake up! In a poor country, the jobless/unemployable/fortunate are using almost $1k smartphones and riding $1m dollar cars. People who cannot solve a simple Quadratic equations, whose country cannot manufacture a radio say they cannot use Chinese phone (which comes with bluetooth, TV/Radio, flashlight, GPS and of course other telephone functionalities). Yet our country has a satellite which is 100% Chinese! Think. Exist. Live. I am a gadget guy too but I've learnt over time that it doesn't really matter. Just look at the pics below. See the cheap phones they were using. Check the deskphone (ordinary analogue) not even the Cisco IP or MiTel Phones. They have what it takes to build one of the most expensive phone company in the world yet the choose to go simple.
