very funny, then u dont understand the msg behind my reply. one, i live in the states, just like u live in the UK. so i see things too but my point is this, in the 1940s to the 70s and even b4 then and beyond to a certain extend until the late 80s, how many white ppl do u know kiss in the bus? the blacks then too dont but as people became more loose, they do it with reckless abandon whites or blacks. the 2 girls i saw kissing so passionately were white and black. i am from rivers, back in the good old days, u cant see a girl even in college that will challenge u to sex but now, enter RUST, girl go ask say u wan "chop yam" (i had a friend who once thought that it really meant yam and he said yes, and very one burst with laughter b4 it was explained to him). i came wit a couple of friends from the northern part of nigeria and took them to RUST. we were in a girl's room waiting for a female friend, another girl came in and greeted us and started undressing, the northerns were shocked to their bones, so i told them to come outside since they felt uncomfortable, she asked me why i wanted them to go out, that haven't they seen a naked lady b4? those boys wanted to enter ground. girls in ph eyes are wild open but wen i was growing up, it wasnt so. let me ask u, will u call that our culture too? ![]() bamie: |
na wa 4 u oooo, kissing in public is white man's culture? nothing i wont hear. kissing in public is not any1 culture. the white women once dressed with long gowns and were poise with lots of reservation like african women but time and lust have changed all that. kissing in public is as white and black as it can get, period! bamie: |
Well, i proudly call myself african everytime. but yes, u get ppl that think i am african american, but it is painful when another nigerian says i dont look nigerian, i always feel like sending them a round of slaps ![]() |
wat is new, just this last friday, when coming out of the movie theater, i saw 2 girls kissing so passionately in the public and nobody gave a darm abt it. life here is already too full with surprises, and kissing in public is definitely not one of them anymore. |

i am kinda surprised that i missed this thread. i attended deeper life for most of my life and i still do wen ever i get the chance to. u wont really appreciate the church until u have left nigeria and see wat the rest of the world offers, then u get jaws dropping and u almost think all nigerians are heading to heaven. living in the usa is far from easy for any true christian, they are so anti God and Jesus, always trying to prove one thing or the other abt Jesus as false, but wat i have learnt in deeper life has helped me seriously even wen i go astray or going the wrong direction, i remember all i was taught and i am quick to make amends. i will never regret attending deeper life, i still download kumuyi's messages online from the church's website www.dclm.org and i attend the church once in a while even though it is very far from my neighborhood . i have attended my churches in my life time, helped during my NYSC days with NCCF to establish or strengthen village churches and i have seen great things but NEVER SEEN another church like deeper life. if u go to church and look at members or just listen to whoever preaching without verifying from the bible, then na u find trouble. wearing earrings, i dont see it as sin but if u fight to wear it that bad, then it because sin because u r beginning to make it a God in ur life. most of the things we call fun, are the very things that have caused us so much pain in the world today. i still strongly believe, that our great grand parents are better believers today than our generation. if u have to put on earrings, tons of make-up and perm ur hair b4 u feel u r beautiful, then u must be a very ugly person. as for those that say deeper life members look down on other christians, that might be true in some cases but i have also observed how quick other churches/members look down on deeper life members. in both situations, that is not a christian attitude. just my 2 cents to this thread. |
speak for urself ooo.
Risk? Thought they say, there is no success without risk? Why are u scared of taking risk? Success and risk are colleagues. Take a bold step to get the fact. You said Ijebu is the HQ in juju can u prove it by producing the Office address or direction? The fact is that you still live in the past and you fail to know that this is 21st century, so please wake up and be productive. Ijebu people don't take nonsense and thats the reason those living in the past still think we are wicked. And for the fact that you live very close to Ijebu land, you think they are wicked! What you are shying away from(Ijebu people generally), other tribes will be glad to associate with us. Am a typical and proud Ijebu babe. Other tribes(all over the world) will be proud and lucky to have my hands in marriage. Few of my older cousins are happily married and there is no complain from their hussy's . as well as other Ijebu babes. 'Bi oko kan o re jinrin, egbegberun e alo' If you aint interested in Ijebu babes, thousands are struggling to have them as friends or spouse. So its your choice and not mine, many Ijebu's are happily married without wahala. ![]() And lastly, the problem here is not Ijebu, its individual, so stop generalising. Your town may be worst if we conduct a research. What a world Aiye yi ti baje gan ni oooo
|
yes it does! u got a problem with that? ![]() OMUWUNMI: |
