hmmmmm, clearly you're unskilled in the use of english language (bankers are skilled in customer service, tailoring is a skill etc). my friend's mom was screened based on her tailoring experience and they gave her a sewing machine to prove herself in the embassy and she got the visa for her, her kids and husband. also i have heard of mechanics that made it here and needless to tell u that mechanics made tons of money here, especially the one i know, and it is his mechanic experience that got him his visa. more over if u have read the forms, skills was not defined as "formal education" but evidence of some work that can be reasonable verified.

FYI: tailors, drivers, bankers are not liabilities.

i would want you to ve it at the back of your mind that US doesnt just give visa to anybody i.e even if u applied for the visa lottery,they will screened skilled persons frm unskilled persons and some other criterias before even granting you the visa.
they just don't want a liability thats why they will make sure they give it to somebody who is productive and who will positively affect their economy,not just tailors,bus drivers,bankers etc.

not necessary, it depends on what u filled in ur forms. if u put so many stuff thinking u r impressing them, then na u go carry am for head. the deal for me was, i preferred answering the computer security questions than the waec ones since i didnt read at all because i didnt knw that they will ask us question based on o'levels, but wen i got there, i saw boys jacking like mad and got sacred but the questions asked me was based on wat i was presently doing so i pass easily thanks be to God Almighty.

not every1 was interviewed based on waec subjects, some of us were interviewed based on career experience. i was interviewed based on computer networks and security. a lady i met was interviewed based on her medical experience while a girl i was with was asked to state some laws of physic that is related to nuclear physic which happen to be something related to her field of experience. so dont always think it wace questions or jamb, they go by wat ever u filled in ur forms.

FYI: on ur forms, put just the truth and nothing short of it. dont exaggerate, it may cost u. then pray for God's wisdom. ur problem is not usually the americans there, it is more of the annoying nigerians there that try to be a spoil spot.

read linux mags and tell me how many current contributions to software development is based by usa developers. most come from europe and the software industry in the usa is filled with indians, asians and a bunch of other foreigners. go to any grad sch for IT/Engineering and u will find out the same thing and some whites. check out the young profs in different colleges/universities and u will see the same pattern. bottom line, americans are becoming too lazy for their own good and i am dead sure that the founders and builders of america wasnt half as lazy as this present "gaming/partying" generation. a white guy at work once came to me with an article that proved by some scientific research that caucasians have a higer I/Q than africans, and i replied him, that all his days in sch up to college, how many africans where in his class, to which he told me the amount he could remember. then i asked him if he can remember ever having better grades than them at any one time, he honestly said no, i told him "my point exactly"

as for cd covers, let me lay it down for u so u can understand simply since it is hard for u to read straight. if someone wishes to design a simple website for his/her blog etc, u don't have to go buy dreamweaver, flash etc to design and develop the sites, u can get cheaper softwares that can give u some flash animated objects or even basic flash design, with some good templates for the page layouts, and they are dead cheap. the implication simply is, if it is just cd covers he wants to do, why use a gun to kill an ant? photoshop cs3 cost $645.99 and paintshop cost $149.99, u can get cheap labelling softwares for as cheap as $9.99. so if u can't figure out my answers to his post, am sorry dude, i can't help u.

no offense but the USA is backward in the understanding of choice when it comes to IT compared to Europe. i know this because i deal with it daily, and i am in the IT field and i live in the states too. a cheaper program don't necessary means it don't have rich features like the big names ones. in the case in question, photoshop and paintshop are too advance to be used for just cd covers. use some other cheaper labelling software.

my2cents:
In the US at least, when going through the requirements for a job (and I have gone through a lot), to the best of my knowledge, I have never seen corel draw. I have seen photoshop and fireworks, but not corel draw. Based on this alone, I will say photoshop.

i'm quite familiar with both the bible and the quran also i've my own personal beliefs but what i believe is irrelevant here.
having studied the two books i've come to this inevitable conclusions and as i am sure anybody who studies the subject objectively will

1.) Either the bible or the Quran or both are fake. Both are not true, the bible unequivocally claims only xtians will be in heaven and the Quran too says only muslims so at least one or both are fake
2.) True Christians and True muslims won't both be in heaven, one or both groups will be in hell. scary ain't it for the same reason above

So what then? as this is a very important matter, i mean this is eternity we're talking about,it is necessary for each one to find a way of determining or discovering d truth.
reading the posts here i find most of us believe we should just do our best and hope 4 d best, i find this unacceptable the stakes are too high for that.imagine u were going for an exam and the lecturer told u ahead that a certain question was coming out worth 70 marks i doubt any of us would be content to sit back and hope for the best u'll seek to be able to solve that question at all costs.
