yes, the church is a place where all is welcome but not a place where all remain unchanged. like my cousin say, the church is becoming worldly and the world becoming churchy. |

are u saying that Jesus was wrong when he said " be ye holy even as your heavenly father is holy" people like u are what the call apologetic christians which by the way are not christians because to be a true christian is to be born again and then continuing in the word of God. sayit: |
there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is the way of death. Jesus said, " i am the way, the truth and the light, no man comes to the father but by me." that pretty much answers the question of where u shld belong. next stop is what Jesus said, " not every1 that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven" that answers the second question that not all that heads to the church, or pray, or carry a bible etc is heading to heaven. from this little bit, i hope to rest this topic make church close ![]() |
@ ifyalways & bebe2007 una be correct babes. tell them life truth abeg. @ seun u be correct guy. i was beginning to wonder if i am the only one seeing it that way. |
can u read? if u can, read the first post again. it is the school making students go thro some treatment, here is a quote " The University of Delaware recently made a decision to subject its students to mandatory "treatment" ('treatment' is a term used by the university) where they learn that "all whites are racist" "; this was to help the students denounce racism because they assume all whites naturally feel superior. my point is making people go thro that treatment is oppression in its own self because every tribe, race or human, always want to place themselves in a superior position above those around them, thats why i used the yoruba, igbo, african american etc examples to show that naturally we never want to be truly equal but superior; therefore, what they are doing is hypocrisy. FYI: i am doing ok, i am not oppressed in anyway but an asian friend of mine in the school dropped the post on his face book and i thot to share the post with y'll. almondjoy: |
people sha. this is the net, nobody knows her. abeg let her go, she is over reacting. what about people that go to prayer meetings and give prayer request on behave of others without consent. the whole point is this, if they don't know u, your privacy is not infringed upon. people write books of other people's lives, as long as there is no direct info given such as true names, and true physical address etc there is nothing to worry about. una too dey do. FYI: one reason why people are so bold online is because u don't really know them. u can have a male put female as his gender on his profile with someone's else pic. how can u prove it otherwise if u don't have a webcam chat, and that may still be compromise. |
i think you're missing the whole point. this posting was originally on a friend's facebook page, and the whole idea is that in the name of politically correctness, the school wants to make the whites feel they are wrong and that by natural default, whites think they are superior therefore racist. now forcing that down someone's throat is pure hypocrisy. yorubas always think they are the most learned because they have the highest percentage scholars in nigeria, now does that make all yorubas tribalistic? or igbos or southerns that feel they are smarter than northerns, does that make everyone from the south tribalistic? my point is this, racist or any act of superiority is naturally human but that does not make anyone from that race a natural born racist. take the "N" word for example, blacks have always said it but if a white guy says it, all hell breaks loose . from my experience in the usa, blacks are equally racist whether they have the means of showing that superiority oppression complex or not. my definition of racist is any kind of injustice done to someone base on the color of the person, white, black, blue, yellow etc and yes, white is a color too. have u ever noticed that when a blk guy or girl dates a white person, all hell breaks loose in some black communities? i was once told by an african american that they don't like us africans because we always get down with the white folks, when the white folks are the ones that slaved them blacks. my reply was simply, nobody slaved u, those that were slaved are long dead and buried. if that isnt racist , at least in thoughts, i don't know what else is. almondjoy: |
kindly read thro this because if this not madness and high handed hypocrisy, i dont know what else is ![]() http://www.globalpolitician.com/articledes.asp?ID=3582&cid=1&sid=104 University Forces All Students To Say That All Whites Are Racist David Storobin, Esq. - 11/1/2007 The University of Delaware recently made a decision to subject its students to mandatory "treatment" ('treatment' is a term used by the university) where they learn that "all whites are racist", racism by the 'people of color' is impossible, and George Washington is merely a "famous Indian fighter, large landholder and slave owner". The university requires that the students adopt highly specific university-approved views on issues ranging from politics to race, sexuality, sociology, moral philosophy, and environmentalism. Students are forced to attend training sessions, floor meetings, and one-on-one meetings with their Resident Assistants (RAs). The RAs who facilitate these meetings have received their own intensive training from the university, including a “diversity facilitation training”. RAs are required to ask and students are forced to answer private questions such as “When did you discover your sexual identity?” After the one-on-one meetings, RAs must then prepare reports on each student's cooperation and viewpoint, ranking them and the progress they've made during "treatment". Students are not allowed to express disapproval of the "treatment" or of the questions that deal with their political views, sexuality and other private matters. Expressing disapproval will result in a negative report of the progress they've made during "treatment", which may result in punishment. Students are forced to achieve "competency" as a goal of the "treatment". 'Competency' requires that “Students will recognize that systemic oppression exists in our society,” “Students will recognize the benefits of dismantling systems of oppression,” and “Students will be able to utilize their knowledge of sustainability to change their daily habits and consumer mentality.” Student are also forced to take actions that outwardly indicate their agreement with the university’s ideology, such as displaying specific, school-approved door decorations and taking action by advocating for a social group that is defined as "oppressed" by the University. Below is the contact information for the Grand Inquisitors of the University of Delaware: Patrick Harker, President, University of Delaware: 302-831-2111; president@udel.edu Kathleen G. Kerr, Director of Residence Life, University of Delaware: 302-831-1201; kkerr@udel.edu The following are quotes from the booklet that students must learn, which was compiled by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). "A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination. (This does not deny the existence of such prejudices, hostilities, acts of rage or discrimination.)"—Page 3 ——- "REVERSE RACISM: A term created and used by white people to deny their white privilege. Those in denial use the term reverse racism to refer to hostile behavior by people of color toward whites, and to affirmative action policies, which allegedly give ‘preferential treatment’ to people of color over whites. In the U.S., there is no such thing as ‘reverse racism.’"—Page 3 ——- "A NON-RACIST: A non-term. The term was created by whites to deny responsibility for systemic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence in the face of racial oppression, and to shift responsibility for that oppression from whites to people of color (called "blaming the victim" . Responsibility for perpetuating and legitimizing a racist system rests both on those who actively maintain it, and on those who refuse to challenge it. Silence is consent."—Page 3——- "Have you ever heard a well-meaning white person say, ‘I’m not a member of any race except the human race?’ What she usually means by this statement is that she doesn’t want to perpetuate racial categories by acknowledging that she is white. This is an evasion of responsibility for her participation in a system based on supremacy for white people."—Page 8 ——- "The notion of indigenous people as more akin to animals than human beings is at the basis of U.S. policy toward Native Americans. In 1784 George Washington, famous Indian fighter, large landholder and slave owner, advised the Continental Congress that it would be cheaper for the new nation to buy up Indian land than to make war on Indian people for the land. If you make war, Washington cautioned, ‘the savage as the wolf’—both wild beasts of the forest—will retreat for awhile and then come back to attack you. Washington’s metaphor stuck. The young U.S. nation-state, and all sectors of European- American; began to view the Native American as a wild animal."—Page 10 |
we menfolk say the feeling is mutual. Oluchia: |
i have said it b4, if only u all know the true meaning of holiness, then all this half and half christianity we are seeing here will stop. holiness is not doing the right thing. u can do the right thing with a wrong motive. and the only one that can declare u holy is God not man, and he has said there is no one holy, no not one, so how can u be holy, simple and short, accept Jesus as ur lord and personal savior and keep God's commandment, then the blood of Jesus will atone for u; implication, God dont see u but the blood like it was for the children of israel in eygpt. FYI: EVERYONE WAN GO HEAVEN, NOBODY WAN DIE, NOBODY WAN DIE. |

its the weakness of the human nature to try to put others down to feel superior, whites do it to blacks and latinos, african americans do it to africans, nigerians do it to other africans and not to forget girls do the same thing to each other. ever watched the show " the bachelor" on abc? see how those girls bad mouth each other to death just to get that millionaire bachelor, ko easy; survival of the fittest, only in a negative way. |
no topic wey dem no go post for nairaland sha. anywayz, to truly find a solution, u have to truly understand the problem or situation. first, we have to verify if it is the men chasing ur mom or it is ur mom chasing the men, and what is the prize at the end of this chase. if it is ur mom chasing the men, solution will be for u to word ur mama one on one as mature persin. if it is the men chasing ur mama, solution na for u to find out if dem get wives, then word the wives of what is happening, that will automatically start 3rd world war . that way, u get ur mama back. if go no go, call OPC into the matter, and something must surely happen. ![]() |

@ poster do u know the definition of Holy? well, i grew up in northern nigeria and most muslims there definitely think they are the only ones heading to heaven so they term those that call themselves christians or jews as infidel, and thats why they have most of the religious riots. so i guess ur post is unguided and self destructive. also i strongly recommend that u find out who truly is a christian. the fact ur name is john, mary, abraham etc dont make u a christian, and church going dont make u one either. |

What she is trying to let u and any other chauvinistic male out there know is that as long as the husband is late, there is nothing (morally, socially, religiously ,read 1Cor 7:8-11 e.tc) wrong in the woman remarrying. God! sometimes I get tired of the hypocricy and selfishness of our menfolk. If it were to be the other way round, then nothing is wrong with the man remarrying, but when it concerns the Woman, she doesn't have any need for a companion except to take care of her children abi? Na Wah for men O!
