President - Buhari Senate President - Ahmed Lawan Chief Justice of Nigeria - Ibrahim Tanko The Yari could not creep out of his hole to point out all three were from the North abi? All of them should GERRRROOUUTT! Jagaban is doing great and has accomplished a lot in just a short period. |
I doubt. This lady is a Ghanaian influencer - Jessica Os |
Gajagojo:For now, he is still the member elected to represent his constituency. Most likely, he would have to get a replacement. |
Okwyjesus:This is politics. Those directly involved know the persons instrumental in brokering such deals. Akpabio was already favoured for the SP. SE senators sharing votes between Kalu, Izunaso and Yari would have been politically naive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__-hxtlfOu0 |
RealNiggaDee:Don't believe most of what you see online. Below is a group on facebook mentioning she's from Rivers. All in a bid to generate the wrong perception. Secondly, not everyone residing in a town or State is indigenous to the State and definitely in no way represents the views, beliefs or principles of the people. Thirdly, the so-called repost was most likely not done by the released girl. There are a lot of trolls online trying so hard to disseminate misleading information, in absolute contrast to the reality on ground.

ILEMUDA:The North alone cannot have over 70 senators if this report is accurate. That would imply even some Southern senators are in support of Yari. |
The past administration was one of the most corrupt and disadvantageous in the history of Nigeria! An example should be made of this one. |
vanitybutiwanti:That's great opportunity for real estate investment. |
Looks like a previously isolated area, but has good road network and drainage with pedestrian sidewalk brought to the area to allow for development. The development of the individual houses won't be the responsibility of the state government, but development control. Government may have reason to enforce development control in such area. You know what that means abi?

Birdbyrde440:It's not about making any religion an official state religion, as both religions have individuals with undesirable behaviours. It's about reorientation of the people and their leaders (religious and political) on human values, social values and genuinely adhering to the tenets of the various religions. From my observation, especially in this clime, Christianity seems to be the most abused religion as anybody just claims to be a Christian for convenience, but do not understand (or choose not to) the principles of living a Christian life. |
![]() DMerciful:You see the problem with distortion of facts? The OP disingenuously included areas that had no business with all these and was ignored, now this. Are you talking about a united Southern Nigeria or an Eastern Nigeria? These areas you mention are parts of Western Nigeria. Whoever wrote that article ranted about South South not being a geographical entity and was carved out of SouthEast (which is false). But refused to acknowledge the flaw that Nigeria was divided into 3 protectorates by the colonialists. With his knowledge of geography, why didn't he question the absence of a Southern Protectorate? The point is so far this issue is approached with insincerity, there will be no headway, even in a million years. The people you call South-South today are distinct people with their own cultures, heritage and ancestry who have been indigenous to their homes for millenniums. Their very hospitable nature and culture has turned out to be their bane. Today they are being asked by certain people 'what's the meaning of your name?' |
My advice to you OP Make efforts to be knowledgeable about your Country. Your post up there is terribly disturbing. For real. Let me help you with one fact: those states you mentioned have Significant population of indigenous Christians including Hausas who cannot hate themselves. Try also, to be analytical before issuing statements eg you mentioned Igbos are the majority of Christians in the North (false) and the Christians were killing Hausas in Plateau. Do you know the possible implications of such statement? Do you realise there are Hausa Christians sef? Do you think most of the crisis and 'insecurity' witnessed in the North is about 'Christian Vs Muslim? |
boltwings:Correct. It was tradition for the Oba to host chief priests of various origins. EzeChima was an Igbo chief priest who after being hosted by the Oba of Benin, ultimately migrated to Abor where there were existing inhabitants of mixed origin. There were indigenous Edos, Igalas, Yorubas and probably even Igbos before EzeChima arrived there (in the 17th century). These coastal regions had high trading activities as early as the 13th century. Unarguably, the present day Northern Delta indigenes are not homogeneously of Edo ancestry, but of mixed ancestry of various tribes. |

Agbor had always been under the Benin Empire. And was overseen by Prince Ogunagbon, one of the Oba's son. Due to commercial activities and slave trade activities, and being around a coastal region, there was a mixture of a lot of different ethnic groups as seen around most coastal areas. (Spanning from present-day Lagos to Rivers). Agbor was one of such towns having a significant population of Edos, Igalas, Yorubas and Igbos (this account you gave may have been one of the instances of migration of Igbos to this area). The names - Anioma, Asaba, etc were coined names in the 20th century.

KingKO22:LOL On any SM platform, once you see Wike, you go see them dey run dey come ![]() I wonder how such behavior is going to change anything. |
What's wrong with this one? Davido made an obvious mistake in his statement. I'm pretty sure he would reach out to resolve this. In no way can Burna boy be referred to as a 'new cat'. Davido's first single which I would consider a hit (which many may not even know) was 'back when' in 2011. Many only knew 'damiduro', which was in 2012. Burna's first hit was 'like to party' in 2012. How then would you be calling such a person a new cat in 2023? If we go by such logic, should Davido also be considered a new cat when compared to Skales who released a few singles under EME months before his 'back when'? |
Praxis758:Most likely the APC would win the next gubernatorial election in Edo. The candidate would be an individual from Edo Central with verifiable records of public service. Daz all! |
Did some research and found the following: CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) AKA Methane while LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) AKA Propane AKA Your Regular Cooking Gas CNG is lighter while LPG is heavier CNG has been used for decades in gas-powered cars/vehicles and has been safe. (I've personally seen a lot of car gas stations) CNG is stored at very High Pressures in its own special cylinders or bottles at an average pressure of 240kg/sqcm. LPG is stored at much Less Pressures around 7kg/sqcm. So, CNG CANNOT be stored in LPG Cylinders (your regular cooking gas cylinders). That would be extremely dangerous. If you want to use the gas alternative to power your generator, use your regular cooking gas (LPG) and your regular cylinder. It is far more cost-effective compared to petrol and safe. It has been in use, even in the US. |
Another great one. Good he assented this without any timewasting. adefitim:He will. Provided he gets the necessary support from law-abiding citizens with a sense of patriotism and responsibility. Also, he should be surrounded by progressive-minded individuals with records of performance and who can voice out when convinced the government may be moving in the wrong direction. Not hungry 'yes men' or saboteurs. |
Did a little research and found out this has been used for some time even in the US! It's even cheaper as the consumption rate of the gas is far lower than that of PMS! And it's safe! |
RockHard:Actually, a point was made here. Irrespective of ethnicity, the right to free movement is taken from everyone residing in the SouthEast at least every Monday. And it seems the authorities and stakeholders are all happy with this. |
Great development. |
chatinent:Terrible! Apart from the Public Health risk, this is modern day Slave Trade! And the social impact? |
Terrible! |
I was actually thinking about this some moments ago before seeing this thread. The subsidy removal would have been effected in phases after the Dangote refinery had began operations. For the benefit of Nigerians, the indigenously produced products would have to be more affordable than the non-subsidized imported products. At least, if not in the spirit of patriotism (and common sense of course). Why the haste in removing it just to allow 'one person' have total monopoly? Hopefully, the administration of PBAT would resolve this. |
