PoliticsRe: Why Did Chief Of Staff Gbajamiala Vote Yesterday by NaMe4: 11:51am On Jun 14, 2023
Gajagojo:
Did you notice Gbajabiamila voted yesterday for the new Speaker Tajudeen Abass ?
He has already been announced as Chief of Staff and by law he cannot be chief of staff and a member of the House of representatives.
He also took his oath as a member of the House of representatives.
I want to believe the aim was to make his vote count which is clever and that officially he is not yet chief of staff.
I expect him to resign from the House of representatives before resuming as Chief of Staff
For now, he is still the member elected to represent his constituency.

Most likely, he would have to get a replacement.

All this small children talking what they don't know.

Last evening Uzodinma broker a deal with SE senator that made Izunaso and Kalu to step down with all SE senator accepting to give bloc vote to Akpabio.

That for me is a finishing touch from Tinubu ' s camp. The Yari camp was banking on Kalu and Izunaso camp to give him higher edge being that they were in his camp previously.

The margin was close and those that knew what happened was not even sure till the broker a deal.
This is politics. Those directly involved know the persons instrumental in brokering such deals.

Akpabio was already favoured for the SP.
SE senators sharing votes between Kalu, Izunaso and Yari would have been politically naive.

They have nothing in common
Don't believe most of what you see online. Below is a group on facebook mentioning she's from Rivers. All in a bid to generate the wrong perception.

Secondly, not everyone residing in a town or State is indigenous to the State and definitely in no way represents the views, beliefs or principles of the people.

Thirdly, the so-called repost was most likely not done by the released girl. There are a lot of trolls online trying so hard to disseminate misleading information, in absolute contrast to the reality on ground.

The Vice President Muslim
Then The Senate President should be given to Southern Christian.

North with their issue with power they don't want it to
The North alone cannot have over 70 senators if this report is accurate. That would imply even some Southern senators are in support of Yari.

yes, that's diobu, it's a slum but it has one of the best Road network in PH funny enough, a lot big guys in Rivers grew up in diobu. Buying in property in diobu today is no child's play. With time, the houses will be bought and new structures will be erected
That's great opportunity for real estate investment.
PoliticsRe: Port Harcourt Is Full Of Slums, Why? Pictures by NaMe4: 4:41am On Jun 12, 2023
Looks like a previously isolated area, but has good road network and drainage with pedestrian sidewalk brought to the area to allow for development.

The development of the individual houses won't be the responsibility of the state government, but development control. Government may have reason to enforce development control in such area. You know what that means abi?

PoliticsRe: Islamization: Only Islam Can Save Nigeria From Degeneracy by NaMe4: 6:53am On Jun 11, 2023
Birdbyrde440:
Degenerate behaviour is abnormal, a degenerate person will walk down the public street half naked, drink alcohol to stupor and end up inside gutter when society begins to degenerate it means civility in such society is dead, there will be no respect for human beings and there will be a total loss of human dignity I.e. people being treated like animals. All of this is common amongst Christians today.

Go to any church(minus Deeper life, SDA) and you will find women without hair covering, dressed half naked.
Men go to church in search of fvck buddies. There is no room for Christian degenerate behaviour and that is why Islamization has become sacrosanct.

Case study: In muslim states of Nigeria like Sokoto, you can keep a million dollars in your car while at the car wash even in your absence, the car washers will not touch a kobo from your money. They might not open the bag .

Go to a place like Lagos or Abia, leave 1m in your car at the car washers when you come back it will all be gone and even if it is still there the car washer will utter something like "oga we help you take care of your money abeg find us something "

Let's embrace Islam, let's make it official state religion to halt the insanity that is ravaging the nation.

Happy Sunday.
It's not about making any religion an official state religion, as both religions have individuals with undesirable behaviours. It's about reorientation of the people and their leaders (religious and political) on human values, social values and genuinely adhering to the tenets of the various religions.

From my observation, especially in this clime, Christianity seems to be the most abused religion as anybody just claims to be a Christian for convenience, but do not understand (or choose not to) the principles of living a Christian life.

DMerciful:
I'm happy with this writeup! It is time for the SS to wake up and know who the real enemies are!

I'm Igbo from Delta State and it bothers me that over 80% of the oil wells in Niger Delta are owned and controlled by people who, if not Nigeria, will never smell oil. These people have hijacked our resources while deceiving us its for our own good.

Wake up from your slumber Old Eastern Region!
You see the problem with distortion of facts?
The OP disingenuously included areas that had no business with all these and was ignored, now this.

Are you talking about a united Southern Nigeria or an Eastern Nigeria?

These areas you mention are parts of Western Nigeria.

Whoever wrote that article ranted about South South not being a geographical entity and was carved out of SouthEast (which is false). But refused to acknowledge the flaw that Nigeria was divided into 3 protectorates by the colonialists. With his knowledge of geography, why didn't he question the absence of a Southern Protectorate?

The point is so far this issue is approached with insincerity, there will be no headway, even in a million years.

The people you call South-South today are distinct people with their own cultures, heritage and ancestry who have been indigenous to their homes for millenniums. Their very hospitable nature and culture has turned out to be their bane.
Today they are being asked by certain people
'what's the meaning of your name?'
PoliticsRe: My Discussion With An Hausa Man On Igbos(Pictures) by NaMe4: 5:56am On Jun 11, 2023
My advice to you OP

Make efforts to be knowledgeable about your Country. Your post up there is terribly disturbing. For real.

Let me help you with one fact:
those states you mentioned have Significant population of indigenous Christians including Hausas who cannot hate themselves.

Try also, to be analytical before issuing statements eg you mentioned Igbos are the majority of Christians in the North (false) and the Christians were killing Hausas in Plateau. Do you know the possible implications of such statement? Do you realise there are Hausa Christians sef?

Do you think most of the crisis and 'insecurity' witnessed in the North is about 'Christian Vs Muslim?
PoliticsRe: End Of Lies About Benin Ancestry Of Anioma, Ikwerre Etc by NaMe4: 4:05pm On Jun 10, 2023
boltwings:
I have read all the wordings of your pics and they are right. However the ancestral they meant there is Ezechima who was an Igbo that went to Benin and left in 17th century can you see? So the argument is this, since Ezechima is not an Edo man, we can rightly say they are not of Edo ancestry....do you get it now. I like the fact that in the pics you dropped, it was stated that Ika, Aniocha, Ndokwa are all igbos and coined the name Anioma from A=Aniocha, N= Ndokwa, I= Ika, O= Oshimili then they added Ma to it making it Anioma. Nice one...Nice history OP kudos
Correct.
It was tradition for the Oba to host chief priests of various origins.

EzeChima was an Igbo chief priest who after being hosted by the Oba of Benin, ultimately migrated to Abor where there were existing inhabitants of mixed origin.
There were indigenous Edos, Igalas, Yorubas and probably even Igbos before EzeChima arrived there (in the 17th century).
These coastal regions had high trading activities as early as the 13th century.

Unarguably, the present day Northern Delta indigenes are not homogeneously of Edo ancestry, but of mixed ancestry of various tribes.

Agbor had always been under the Benin Empire. And was overseen by Prince Ogunagbon, one of the Oba's son.

Due to commercial activities and slave trade activities, and being around a coastal region, there was a mixture of a lot of different ethnic groups as seen around most coastal areas. (Spanning from present-day Lagos to Rivers).
Agbor was one of such towns having a significant population of Edos, Igalas, Yorubas and Igbos (this account you gave may have been one of the instances of migration of Igbos to this area).

The names - Anioma, Asaba, etc were coined names in the 20th century.

Music/RadioRe: Burna Boy Ran After Davido Car When He Met Him In Porthacut”- B-red by NaMe4: 6:59am On Jun 10, 2023
What's wrong with this one?

Davido made an obvious mistake in his statement. I'm pretty sure he would reach out to resolve this.

In no way can Burna boy be referred to as a 'new cat'.

Davido's first single which I would consider a hit (which many may not even know) was 'back when' in 2011. Many only knew 'damiduro', which was in 2012.

Burna's first hit was 'like to party' in 2012.

How then would you be calling such a person a new cat in 2023?

If we go by such logic, should Davido also be considered a new cat when compared to Skales who released a few singles under EME months before his 'back when'?

FoodRe: Can CNG Be Used For Cooking? by NaMe4: 7:57pm On Jun 09, 2023
Did some research and found the following:

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) AKA Methane while LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) AKA Propane AKA Your Regular Cooking Gas

CNG is lighter while LPG is heavier

CNG has been used for decades in gas-powered cars/vehicles and has been safe. (I've personally seen a lot of car gas stations)

CNG is stored at very High Pressures in its own special cylinders or bottles at an average pressure of 240kg/sqcm.
LPG is stored at much Less Pressures around 7kg/sqcm.

So, CNG CANNOT be stored in LPG Cylinders (your regular cooking gas cylinders). That would be extremely dangerous.

If you want to use the gas alternative to power your generator, use your regular cooking gas (LPG) and your regular cylinder.

It is far more cost-effective compared to petrol and safe. It has been in use, even in the US.

And it's safe!
PoliticsRe: What Would Have Happened If The Niger Delta Oil Was In The SW by NaMe4: 9:02pm On Jun 08, 2023
RockHard:
Why can't Ibos also have a state in their region, just one, where other Nigerians can have a sense of belonging? SS has Port Harcourt; lots of yorubas and other Nigerians live and make a living in PH and not once have they had any clash with the Ikwerres, Okrikas, Ijaws and other indigenes. Not once. North Central has many cities like Jos, Ilorin, Lokoja, FCT where other Nigerians are doing ok coz of their multi-ethnic nature. North East has cosmopolitan cities as well coz their states are multiethnic. Ditto North West.

But iboland is different. You can't even work on Monday in peace due to terrorist threats of cutting off your head and maiming you. No law supports such barbarity but ibos want it that way and the few other Nigerians living there have no choice but to play along if they value their lives. Why is it only ibos that refuse to accommodate other Nigerians? Why no single cosmopolitan state or city in iboland. Yet they are free to do as they wish in other parts of Nigeria. Why??!!
Actually, a point was made here.

Irrespective of ethnicity, the right to free movement is taken from everyone residing in the SouthEast at least every Monday.
And it seems the authorities and stakeholders are all happy with this.

I've heard about this news before. This particular woman parades as a mid-wife but uses the registration for all atrocities. And sadly, she has informants everywhere.

These girls who were supposedly "rescued" weren't kidnapped. They voluntarily went there themselves after teenage pregnancy.

They stay there to be delivered of the baby, then sell to Nma for peanuts, who later resells the baby to whomever she wants for big money. Some after the first transaction choose to remain there and be used as sex slaves so as they continue selling the babies for money.

Matter long.

PoliticsRe: Dangote Refinery = Fuel Subsidy Removal by NaMe4:
I was actually thinking about this some moments ago before seeing this thread.

The subsidy removal would have been effected in phases after the Dangote refinery had began operations. For the benefit of Nigerians, the indigenously produced products would have to be more affordable than the non-subsidized imported products.
At least, if not in the spirit of patriotism (and common sense of course).

Why the haste in removing it just to allow 'one person' have total monopoly?

Hopefully, the administration of PBAT would resolve this.
