No south western rely on your votes to be president in the first place, always try to separate issues from sentiment and mischievous complaints by uncultured individual. Is she the only ibo in TVC, infact, I see more ibo faces on TVC than Yorubas. Once you are given opportunity you protect your interest and the interest of the company. That lady excesses could lead to closure of TVC if not checked.
What she did was not excess at all. Did you read tbe story at OP?

I dont think tho that the sack was ethnically motivated. It was just a show of crass power from the elites protecting their interests. Tinubu should have known better. But then again, who is surprised by the conduct of the elites of this country

Stop spewing lame and pathetic rubbish, stick to the issue, this is about a woman that was hired by the same so called Tinubu that you hypocrites hate so much, she made a personal decision to walk off her job and she suffered the consequence.

They'll sack her for the same offence at CNN or any credible establishment on the surface of the earth.

Stick to the issue and what she did on the job and the reason why she got sacked.
Do not be sillllly.

If a black journalist walks out of CNN cos a white bigot called Blacks Nigggar or any other racial slur CNN CANNOT and Would not sack that journalist. It will even be seen as an act of honourable defiance on the part of the journalist. Anything apart from that and the journalist eould sue their ass. It is the bigot who will be called out for the low life that he is.

The Oba of Lagos behaved as a low life i spurning that nonsense against an entire ethnic group (apologies to the people of Lagos Island but your King diminished himself and his revered seat, and should be called out as such)

sarrki:
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has revealed that he has been receiving curses from Nigerians through phone calls and text messages over a false report that he advised his principal to shun protesters.

Apparently, under pressure, Adesina stated in an article he wrote titled: “An Enemy of the People’ published on Thursday evening.

Adesina denied that he advised President Buhari for whatever reasons on the End SARS protesters, but said an online platform falsely accused him that he told Buhari to “ignore the protests and not give in to the demands of ‘Twitter warriors’.

He explained that his telephone numbers were posted on social media, thereby, making people to reach out to him with curses.

Adesina said a long time interview he granted Channels Television regarding the “Revolution Now”, was twisted to make it look like a fresh interview against End SARS protest, a situation that made more attacks on him ferocious.

According to him, relief came his way when Channels Television gave a clarification.

In his article: “Those who wanted to, believe the television station. A large number chose not to, and bombarded my phone lines with curses, expletives, and messages from the pit of hell. Well, if anybody chooses to belong to that nether region, it’s a matter of choice.

NEWS: Amaechi clears air on approving waiver for foreign vessels operators
“Talking about the bombardment of my phone lines, it had begun on Sunday. A hateful mind had published my two numbers on Twitter, urging people to troll me. They called till the phone batteries went dead. Mum was the word from me

Were they not supposed to provide change? Was that not why they were elected, at least in 2015? Was that not what they promised?

This government has itself to blame if things really spiral out of control.. Buhari was given enough time and patience. All he does is to lazy around in the presidential Vila. It's wrong to turn the Villa into an old peoples home. The country is facing huge challenges. High unemployment rate, insurgency here and there, infastructural decay, unproductive economy, ethnic bickering an all that! But what do we get? A highly polarising president who seem to enjoy stoking the fire while fanning the embers of corruption and tribalism. Buhari really needs to go back to Daurra. He is not up to the job. He lacks both the intelligence and temperament to run an inclusive government capable of stoping Nigeria from sliding off the Cliff. I say this because from the way things re going, this country has a detiny with serious violent conflicts in the future if Buhari continues with his annoying style of sectional and unproductive governance..

If he was accepted to the rally, the focus would change and govt may use force which might lead to extra judicial killing and clamping down on posters with DSS or Army.

It was done to avoid any political undertone. He would use the platform to push for revolution which would actually come as the protest persist. You can see the government is finding it hard to pitch the protest to anyone. NO LEADER protest. That's the consensus and awesome strategy.

If Sowore is disgruntled, he should understand what the protest is all about and respect the views of the youth.

I don’t understand the need to immediately jump out and defend Wike if you have not mixed up your priorities with politics. This is about Wike and no one else. Governors like Sanwoolu, Okowa and Makinde have been managing the protest without showing their tyrannical sides. We must collectively condemn Wike for this and not give him a free pass because he’s the poster boy governor of PDP. The Endsars movement is beyond the usual APC/PDP squabbles. SARS don't operate here, Hisbah is doing the same job. Moreover, no Hausa man will give bribe to a police, if you arrest them they will be the ones to request that you take them to the cell where police will be feeding them free. They are not in a hurry to meet up with any appointment, it can be suspended unlike you guys in the South.
Moreover, the Emir will order any CP to his palace if any illegal arrest is made in his domain and ask for immediate release of the victim. Any attempt to resist, the Emir will call the IGP and that CP will be redeployed to take care of Police dogs the next day in Sambisa forest.
The reality is that we don't know much about SARS here and we can't protest against people who operate mostly in southern cities killing and maiming youths. Most people here who have never traveled to the South have never see SARS operating in their lives

True. I do not disagree that there has long been herder-farmer clashes all over the country right from time; and I also agree that the government should do more to address the issue but are we going to overlook the strides the government has taken in agriculture?

Don't you know the basic concept of economics? We do not have enough forex to give to importers of basic consumption in which we have the capacity to produce, who does that?

How do you open borders for every kind of good to penetrate the market and shortchange your farmers?

How do people get motivated to go back to agriculture when the cannot meet up to the market prices?

You guys don't actually have any single economic knowledge but you would be filling Nairaland with nonsense, crude and backward knowledge.

How can we get to the status of a developing nation when we import all we consume?

It defies even the most basic and crude concept of economic development.
