Crying about Fulani herdsmen on TV is his favourite tactic to divert public attention from his absolute ineptitude. The lying bugger
He is a useless Gov.

The only good thing he has done is protecting his people against the Fulani threat(which is real)

Edo State
I will rate Obaseki 8/10...

he's done well for the State. There's no part of the whole of Edo State that didn't feel his impact. I will give an example. Ewato is a part of Edo state that has been neglected from time immemorial...nothing has been done by any regime.. But Governor Obaseki took development there..other parts of Edo state..u can see things happening..even with the small resources..things are looking up in that state. The only area he has to work on, is security...herdmens, kidnappers, robbers..the governor needs to do something..that's his only minus...
I dont ANY gov in Nigeria is more than 6
4.5/10, and that is even been kind.

I however agree that Gov Obaseki is building in Edo State. But he cannot be said to be Excellent

This visit is very significant because of the personalities involved and their political loyalty as far as 2023 is concerned. The Tinubu camp is not leaving anything to chance at all.
It was the foolisshness of you and the likes of you that sold the disaster that is currently in Aso Rock to some Nigeria and so brought us to this our very sorry state.

Ekunokoyibo:
He was once the Spokesman of PMB so one can relate with why PMB will mourn his loss. Besides, he is still relatively young and can pass for a younger one to PMB.

I still recall that it was Asiwaju Tinubu who sponsored the overseas treatment of Egbon Yinka Odumakin when he was critically ill some few years ago and that intervention by Asiwaju Tinubu was very helpful to him and saved his life.

How he suddenly turned on Asiwaju Tinubu and insults him daily in his latter days sounds so bizzare. Asiwaju Tinubu really suffered from the hands of people he has helped but still turn against him yet forgives them and takes them back just like with the Obanikoros of this world.I wished Egbon Yinka had reconciled with Asiwaju Tinubu like others before he answered the call
Why is it important to reconcile with Tinubu? How is that even important. Some of you are just funny and "small".

Odumakin and his wife believed in a course since their student days, and STAYED on that course regardless of who or what they met along the way. That is INTEGRITY. And it is the measure of living. Go and check,Odumakin has seriously disagreed with almost every single person that released condolences in the OP- Buhari, GEJ, Obasanjo, Atiku, Tinubu, Saraki, etc. It is Tinubu and Co who should have reconciled himself to the ideals that Odumakin held sacred and not the other way around.

I know that you may not get the above sha, cos you are most likely a paid political hack.

RIP to Odumakin. And condolences to the Wife. Thank you for your Service.

PoliticsRe: Hijab Crisis: Kwara CAN Releases 1974 Agreement With Govt(photo) by nameo:
thaqib:
Nobody has provided a legal argument against the government in this matter, only sentiments and biased opinions

I don't understand how a school still owned by the founders have their staff on the payroll of government

That aside, how does what one put on his/her head or buttock affect his or her learning
Besides, the government has consistently emphasized it is not enforcing the hijab on anybody. They can't even do that anyway, not even on Muslims!
All they have said was "if u wish to use it, no problem"
Muslims who wear hijab and Christian relate with each other in the university and workplaces everyday. Has it threatened our corporate existence?
Why can't the same happen in our secondary schools in an atmosphere of love?

We only need to respect our individual preferences, be it religious or otherwise provided such doesn't encroach on tm other people's rights. That's all

Anything outside this is religious intolerance and bigotry!

U can argue against my opinion, but perhaps u shouldn't insult
If the schools are actually Mission(in this case, Christain) schools as argued by the OP, then the owners have the right to determine the religious template they would use to admit and administer their school. Ditto, Islamic schools. That is why those kinda schools are formed in the 1st place. And that right is Fundamental. You yourself said we should respect other person's Religious preferences. Kindly take your own advice here: those christain schools have a right to determine the religious template of their own schools. And that should not even be a debate. After all, it would be absurd to support a christain boy who insists on taking the Bible and rosary to an Islamiyyah school every day. If you wanna be fair, then be fair all the way.

However, if the schools are public or even private(secular), then the Fundamental right of the Muslim girl to self identify her religious beliefs lead i.e girls must be allowed to wear hijabs if they so choose.

Except you disagree with the above, the crux of the matter is whether the 11 schools in question are public or still Mission schools(even tho "aid-granted" ). This is what is to be determined.

Personally, i dont know why hijab should be such an issue. If i had a school, I will even encourage those Muslim girls who chose to wear it, to do so. But then again, i would likely not open a Mission school(I am a Christain by the way)

Together(like minded northern and southern young prople) we will kill identity politics(the tool the political elites have used to retain power for so long) and enthrone true national development.

The perception is that you're mostly either silent on the happenings in your region, or you support the status quo.

Let me disabuse you of your complacency.

The bandits of today were born 18-35 years ago.
Check the population and poverty index at the time.
Both statistics are now over 500% worse.
- I stand to be corrected.

When the current almajiris come of age, there will be millions of youths-
Drug addicts, hardened by neglect, lacking in the slightest sense of compassion or societal values.
-Unlike the current lot who still grudgingly pay attention/dues to their elders and authority figures.
And every single one of them filled with a deep, abiding hatred and despair.

They will ALL come for you. ALL of you.
At that time- 5 to 10 years from now, at the most- the current crop of bandits will be seen as "soft" criminals, in comparison.

So. Who will solve this problem?
60 years in the making, who's solved any of your problems?
Therefore-
If not you, who?

I suggest you organise yourselves and begin a consistent and persistent campaign of activism in both governance and problem solving.
The time to act is extremely short and your window for action is closing at a frightening rate.

Or, you can continue as you are-
Complaining or praising on social media.
Burying your head in the sand.
Waiting for a savior politician.

But from now henceforth, you can't say you didn't know.

God help us all.

PS-
It's assumed that graduates from other regions will take this message to heart as well.
To do otherwise would be a great folly.
