Business / Re: US Bank Stops Western Union Transfers To Nigeria In Aftermath Of 80 Fraud Burst? by nametalkam: 4:05pm On Aug 24, 2019 |
This will not stop any xmas stuff. Dat has become part of our culture. But Honest and hard working ones surpass criminals across. Show off will still happen. Younger ones and youth will still be amazed and without solid opportunities, some will promise to make it at any cost. Dont forget most of the igbos that own store in your city market do just that..buying and selling and growing their business through cost effective labor of apprentice system. I will be really amazed if Western Union (not freaking HEB whose biggest revenue stream is selling grocery/food!) stops dealing with Nigeria! You know how much profit Westo have pulled in fees, etc. like Transfer Fee, Official Exchange or lower rate... I stopped dealing with them years ago. Thief company. The most they will do is adjust ID requirements, wait time for more security and verification, etc. If not, the smaller companies win big time and continue to vastly replace their services. But yes Igbo has been over the news recently and it is just Bad! Eziokwu! |
Travel / Re: What Do Nigerians Do For A Living When They Travel Abroad? by nametalkam: 11:58pm On Aug 12, 2019 |
highpriestess: Since we are learning, Desperatness: reckless or dangerous because of despair, hopelessness, or urgency: a desperate killer. having an urgent need, desire, etc.: desperate for attention; desperate to find a job. Examples To complete the desperateness of the situation the news reached the capital that Ahmed Pasha, the Ottoman admiral-in-chief, had sailed to Alexandria and surrendered his fleet to Mehemet Ali, on the pretext that the sultan's advisers were sold to the Russians. The desperateness of the situation, however, roused the government of Theodosius II., who was still upon the throne, to put forth the most energetic efforts to meet the emergency. My friend, you got it. 6 Likes |

Papers! makes a difference Illegal - odd jobs or cash paying jobs (selling ice cream, etc.), runs, till you get paper Legal - odd or part time jobs to get started even runs too. You can go the experience route and work and save or find opp to do your own business. or you can go the school route and do what is necessary to get your degree or certification, etc. then work towards joining the pro workforce. It depends on you, the country, your determination, support network helps if available...chips falling right for you! I have no stats to back this up, but for every Nigerian in Jail I want to believe there are 10000+ (to that 1) not in jail in that country. Amount of Nigerian migrants is way way way larger than Nigerians in jail. 7 Likes |

lonelydora: Very right! Even in town it can be used to bypass some type of bad roads or traffic in some cases. So specific levels of trauma, this can be a life saver. Also the cost to operate is less than the automobile version. 4 Likes |

Anything with China deserve extra scrutiny shaaa. They have over 2 Billion people and everything is about their future. Nothing wrong with that if Nigeria govt is smart enough to ensure we have the similar stake and not being taken advantage of. There is a good reason Chinese are spreading across Africa with backing from the Chinese govt. 1 Like |

USPS offers Amazon the same discount that any bulk shipper receives. USPS doesnt make any money from 1st class Mail (regular paper mail) due to technology like Email, Web, etc...However USPS does make money from Parcel delivery like they do for Amazon. Amazon is the #1 reason USPS delivers on Sunday! Bite the hand that feed you and you find out quick..... anyway lets watch China and the tariff on 125 US products announced yesterday and see how the stock market reacts ..... |

I am confused. Are you suppose to live in the gas plant and the offices? You talk of how beautiful it is and you show gas plant and that beach? Where are the homes, the roads, the park, the wild life, the beach activities, the cameras for surveillance, the residents and display of their wealth or whatever makes them unique.... when you say it can compete with any exotic island or place, what exactly did you show to prove your point? The GAS plant for #1&2 pic. |

Certificate or not, this man honestly pointed out what we really know and have done nothing. The "allowances" received by these guys is just too much. We are ranked near the top, if not #1, on allowances and salary received by senators around the world. And he didn't need any degree to stand in front of them and tell them to their faces. |

But exactly how did Africa survive before the word of God and Allah were introduced? Honestly how...those before then..were they doomed? Cant be.. we descended from them..right LOL ... Anyway..is this really culture or is it tradition? Coz people throwing the word "culture" around so loosely Me I think this is tradition. It is rooted and will continue to be passed down to future generations... |

Did you send your pics to all of them (will check with Oladayoh my guy, see if him get the pic too..so I can even examine the evidence of buff body)? Nonsense. |
