I filled another ds 160 form and corrected my error and generated a new confirmation code. I tried to book a new appointment, it is the old confirmation code that is showing on my appointment confirmation page, pls how do I ensure that the new confirmation code of my ds form is showing on the appointment confirmation page.

Send a mail to support-nigeria@ustraveldocs.com. Only them can change the DS-160 number on your appointment confirmation.

That's not a required field for female visitors. I'm not sure about male. The travel information there just asks you about travel to the U.S (whether you've been denied a visa, immigrant petition , whether you've been to the U.S etc)

For non-immigrant visas, the only time I hear about relocation is people who go on student visas then relocate via legal means such as a company sponsoring them.

el2015, I've seen the V.O state somewhere that their decision is based on you as an individual and not your sponsor or the person accompanying you on the trip.

So she'll be judged based on the infamous 'ties.' She will have to demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria. How's her travel history? Does she work? How long has she been working? Etc. Your previous denial will not affect her. Let her fill her DS-160 carefully and honestly, of course, indicating that she is single.

She's going to give birth there so she should have done a lot of research and be ready to answer questions on why she chose the hospital/who she'll be staying with, the total cost etc. I will advise that you direct her to the 'Give Birth in U.S.A' thread, part 1 and 2. Let her read it very well as it would be very helpful. Also check for interview transcripts on these threads.

I personally detest the act of being overly pessimistic to show an air of fatalistic thinking. Do you know increasing the market share in the gas industry is the main goal of the company over the next few years? Show empirical evidence or signs of Inferential thinking with whatever you say here especially this delicate period. During the wait for invites in March, I forecasted invites after handover way before the follow-up mail, that was Inferential thinking.

NLNG, this is pretty basic now. This is similar to having everyone who had the shl test with their status unknown till this year May. Just release this result.

Debsmed, lady G, nah that's not an option in that portion. It's Self/Other Person/Company or organization . You can only pick one unfortunately

Debsmed, Lady G will shed more light on the partial sponsorship stuff because I also didn't see that option in the DS160.

No one, except the VO, can categorically say the reason you were denied at first. The best we can make are intelligent guesses. Most will say it's because you don't have travel history together as a couple.

Well at least you've been married for some time now, I think you can apply again or wait to get travel history together if you believe this is why you were first denied.

I also applied for the DV Lottery back then, I didn't state it anywhere on my DS160 because it is not an immigrant petition. They understand that most people applied for the lottery and will not hold it against you or view you as a potential immigrant because of that. Don't dwell on this too much, it's not relevant to your application.

If you are applying again, state clearly that your husband is accompanying you on the trip, select your husbands friend as your contact person there (I see you're so determined on this. Lol) and then I still believe you should state you or your husband as the sponsor and not his friend. Again, be as detailed as possible in your DS160, as you've seen, the interviews are mostly brief.

Don't mind that they didn't ask for any of your documents, mostly they don't, but still go with it all the same. I know one or two people who have been asked for an invitation letter so be sure to get this from your friend and also know basic stuff about him.

Debsmed, the honeymoon period, was that your first time applying? And who was your sponsor then?

Like Lady G, said I think it's best you put yourself or your husband as your sponsor since you're both capable.

Whats the purpose of travel now, to visit this friend or vacation with your husband? I think vacation is a better option


Whatever route you take, be as detailed as possible in your DS160 especially where you have to list your job function. You can even copy from your CV and paste.

I remember someone being asked in his interview and he mentioned his plans whereas in his DS160 it was indicated 'no.'

If you select yes, you'll be asked further questions like date of intended arrival, departure etc.

Whatever answer you give, you'll have to be consistent with it in your interview.

3. I don't see the difference here. You're going on vacation.

4. You need ties to your home country.

5. Start filling the DS160, Make payment and check to see availability of dates before submitting the form and booking the appointment. Let the available dates guide you in filling your DS160.

6. Google . Anybody giving you the link would also have to look it up

7. Start filling it. If you don't plan to finish within 30days, download the application to your computer so you don't lose it.

To answer your question, YES they will refund you. A year is even too outrageous, a few weeks behind normal schedule, you can open a dispute and request for a refund . Aliexpress runs an escrow service, I'm not sure how eBay works. The customer is King, always remember that. It's only in Naija that people get away with bad customer service .

So businesses put 'no refund after payment' then proceed to withhold your goods or service for almost a year? This person paid in December 2014 oh. No my dear, that clause is not relevant in this issue.
