It was a drilling session for him at poe.he had to say she is pregnant.part 2 of the drama was his hotel reservation. He said he was going to stay for 2 weeks but his reservation was for 5 days. It was the 5 days they stamped for him o. He is bk to Nigeria after just 5 days..bought ticket for 320 k, paid for hotel etc for 5 days. By the way it was a b1/ b2 visa..

For the first part, I don't think its a hard and fast rule. I did an application with my mum and only her travelled and came back after 2 weeks with no questions at p.o.e.

He should have had the reservation for the 2weeks he intended, not 5days.

From your end, since its middle man business, I guess you're not supposed to discuss price or get too close to the buyer since the middle man will rightly have added his own money.

Meanwhile, the buyer in his own mind won't likely discuss price with you because he feels he has been speaking with the owner of the car and hes just there to inspect the car and pay to the account he's been given (Scammer's a/c)

Buyer and Seller are given two different stories by the scammer.

He would have been N1.7m richer, just like that and then the buyer would have been seriously confused and dragging you for car that he didn't pay for.

The chances are good. Your kids WILL NOT be interviewed, if needed you (either parent) will be interviewed but I believe you will be using the dropbox. Follow the process just like you did for yourselves and book appointment asap- only a few days left on the Nov. calendar. Did you and your husband book your appointment as a couple? If yes use the same account to book the appointment for your kids. Do not change anything on your page just ADD your kids to the list. Good luck

Belloluddy, you can't use Dropbox for your kids. Dropbox is for people renewing visas of the same category. You will need to schedule an appointment for your kids. You will obviously go in with them if they are underaged.

I've been to US 4 times.
However, I want to go for a 3 months course.
Does a 3 months course qualify for student F1 visa or I can go on my visiting visa.

The B-1/B-2 visa may be used by for foreign visitors to take a short, recreational course of study during a visit to the U.S.

If you are traveling to the U.S. primarily for tourism, but want to take a short course of study that is recreational and the course is less than 18 hours per week, you may be able to do so using a B-1 or B-2 visa. Examples of short courses study include cooking classes, language classes and art classes .

If your course of study is 18 hours or more a week and is not for recreational purposes , you will need to apply for an F-1 visa.

You can send them an email so you're absolutely certain which visa category your course falls into. If it's not recreational, i think you'll need to apply for an F-1 Visa.

my DS 160 form refused to ask for past employment history. it only asked for present employment. am female, 34yrs & single. i haven't stopped worrying

2. a friend is applying for b1/b2 and will use for vacation & birthing and will declare at the embassy. now issue is she does v. small businesses and has a registered business name. the bank account for the business does not experience frequent transactions at all. some payments are as cash, some to her personal account. her hubby is the sponsor of the trip. should she state she is into business OR just say unemployed.
if she states business, hope VO wont be asking for her tax returns etc

1. DS160 for male and female differs in terms of the questions asked.

2. From reading transcripts on here , they will not ask for tax returns from the business, they can ask her the nature of the business. For b1/b2 visa they don't rely on documents to show proof of ties.

I am 99.99% sure that you'll be denied. Don't waste your money on agents or the visa fee (if you choose to do it yourself) I can see ZERO ties to your home country, the V.O will see right through you.

You might have already made up your mind and decide to apply regardless of what we tell you, but if you have up to N1.2m I'm sure you can find good use for it here. Being an illegal immigrant in U.S is very tough contrary to whatever stories you might have heard.

3. Talking about ties, first do you intend on coming back . Sometimes they miss it o, but more often that not they can see right through an agent-packed application and that's a major stain on your record. Whether or not your agent will give you back your money after failing you? that's between you and them o.

Honestly, don't use agents. It is very easy to catch most people who use agents once and it leaves a permanent stain on your record (because we read the notes entered on your previous refusals).

Not only that, if you get a story from the agent and then show up at a different POE CBP can turn you around at the border and give you a 5-year ban. It happens.

Just be honest - if you don't qualify for the visa today then no wahala, just come back in the future when you meet the requirements under U.S. immigration law.

Theres a deal for N13,950 on dealdey for Lakeem Suites in Ikoyi, off Awolowo road. We stayed there for a 6.30 visa appointment. It's close to the embassy and its a nice place to stay.

The vo really felt bad for denying me visa. But then he has to. I think they sometimes don't belive that young minds could achive so much (with proof). It is not just my day. Because all questions were dully answered. But then am not that young. I graduated at the age of 18 and have worked for same company for 12 years which the vo him self confirmed. Mehn their background check is real you can't hide anything.

Interviews is an avenue to charge how well you can work with a candidate, no one really wants to work with a stiff staff; else is a research role. In the context used, it makes reference to the stereotype that Igbo people are shrewd business people who put the love for money above all things . It is not right to say that to somebody you have just met, especially in a professional setting where you are being watched by assesors.

Are you certain an Igbo assessor will find it funny? When it comes to tribe and race, you don't say the first thing that pops into your head, especially in a work place.

They'll be looking for ties to your home country and not whether or not your hotel booking was in cash. I don't believe this is an important factor.

You might be able to defer conference fees, I think this depends on the organizers or the type of conference. You've used up the Visa fee whether or not you get the Visa.

Hotel Accomodation doesn't have to be booked with cash. You don't need to book your flight yet also, that's risky, though some airlines or agents do refunds (most likely partial.)

Weomet, while trying to preserve the integrity of the exercise I will not say the questions I was asked but I do know that they follow a template so it's not like they are asking the questions spontaneously.

Up till the very last day, no one knew before-hand that fact-finding was going to be a part of the assessment... We all met the surprises of our lives there.
And again, the interview style was also unexpected too.. - I was there, telling lots of stories about my life to two scribes who were busy writing them down like they would publish it. They couldn't even take their faces off the sheets in front of them and look at me for up to five minutes.. They were so busy writing down my stories..

The presentation.. woww.. time choked me. I had to present with blank flip-charts, and assumed I wrote things on them.. I was actually flipping over the blank charts whenever I finished speaking on a supposed topic. Though I explained to them that time choked me, but nevertheless, that I knew what I had in mind to write on those blank pages before time choked me.
They were just there looking at me with mean faces as I yarbbed..
If they found my empty charts funny, I couldn't say. Their faces were so mean.

The clock was beside me but I didn't notice it until I asked the assessor how many minutes I had left, and he pointed behind me. I had just about 25 minutes. I wasn't even done reading at this point but I had been jotting on the blank sheet given to us, so I didn't have much problem writing on the flip chart.

They hardly looked up at all during the presentation, until I mentioned a certain technology as an option to embed in the mobile app to keep up with the competition . That's when I saw them looking at me and I'd been looking into space and presenting the entire time. Lol

Jarus session was useful for the group exercise i.e working in teams. I'm not sure whether he had hints or not , but most likely not .

He did a Role Play exercise, that didn't happen. The presentation at the mock was based on a short narrative and was nothing like what we encountered.
