Trust me there was nothing glorious about that white blazer. Looked off-white and the overall look was scruffy. Hence the surprise, I couldn't understand why he chose that look for an important event.

Maikux, are you one of the hopefuls? Sorry oh but I guess you were in such a rush to post. Can't really make meaning of what you posted.

On another note, reminds me of one guy in my AC that wore a white suit. Was so surprised.

A lot of us will soon shout well well very soon.. And Ooohhh.. A lot of us would be so gloomy, heavy heart, stiffened blood, numb bodies, blank brains, suicidal tendency, feeling so badly hurt as some people are rejoicing, not being able to type anything here anymore (even when mentioned), unfollowing the thread, and finally making up mind that nlng is not even the best company in nigeria and that it is not God's will.
Suicidal tendency ke? It's not that serious oh.

let him post all these thing atleast they are physical things and won't disappear when their pictures are taken.

what we have here still remains one mans word against another and a lot of us are carrying on like it is the fact.
He did.

He posted the picture of the gear case and the horrible looking door .

Oseri please post the remaining pictures showing further proof.

Yes I have gone through every page.

Now my question, what makes it a lemon? give me pictorial proof. What classifies a car as a lemon?

If that car has half the defects your friend has claimed, it won't do Lagos portharcourt in the time it did it (mind you they have both agreed it did it in a range of 12hrs).

No. I don't even know the dude, just weighing the issues with the avaliable evidence and a non sentimental mind.

U can post the link of this thread anywhere u please but it just simply amounts to someone joining a Lynch mob because someone shouted Ole!
Did you read that the car's airbag was replaced with something else. Do you know that is criminal?

Did the OP intend to drive a car whose gear case is being held together by SAND and glue? SAND! Freaking sand! Do you know how insane that is? And the door handles being held together by glue or what is that? Why did he not show it in the picture knowing the buyer solely relied on the picture when making his purchase.

None of you will behave any differently if this happened to you.

hahahahaha, wait till you see the car before you condemn it, your judgement is based what you're seeing here. I'm the second owner of that you're seeing there, the gear lever cover of that particular generation get weak with time, check around and see.
You mean the car was driven from Lag to PH without battery?
Come up with something more sensible pls.
It's not wise to keep arguing with you because you have blinded yourself to reason. You know the gear lever cover gets weak, why didn't you show the SAND + Glue used to hold it down in your own pictures?

Bad road has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand. Compare the picture Chucky posted on the advert with the one Oseri posted (along with the other complaints) and mediate that.

well as a scanner, used cars are never perfect.

before you get excited about any used car,
1. scan it
2.run the engine for atleast 2 hours,
3. have the hardware professionally looked at.
4. use whatever error you discover as a bargaining tool

CHUCKY234 is not as bad as we are painting him to be. the customer basically failed himself which is a shame. sad
Please stop advertising your silly magic scanner.

The customer blindly trusted chucky234 + pictures he saw on the ad.

From the picture that Oseri posted we can see it's nothing like the original ad. If he had seen the car in that condition via the pictures posted he most likely would have not bought the car or argued for a reduced price. Chucky234's 'lawyer' will tell him that his action is called 'fraudlent misrepresentation'

All these e-warriors, that's how it's easy to pay lawyer abi. Next thing we'll hear that you have one that you pay annual retainership to. *hiss*

Thanks for the response, i posted the second time when i didnt get response from anyone.
1. if the answer had being known, believe me i would not have asked, be glad to lead people through
2. i never called u a VO, just tryna seek the candid advise of the good people
3. a list of documents suitable for my case from an experienced person isnt gonna be a bad idea to share with people
4. the question wasnt directed to u, so if u have no response to it, better u allow someone else provide a response
Thanks once again
Truth is if you had taken the time to read the thread like thegreengooner suggested, all these questions have already been answered. I'm sure it gets tiring saying the same thing over and over. For example, your first question has sorta been answered by LagosNIV on this thread.

LagosNIV:
Not quite - you need ties outside of the U.S.
If you work in Germany, and are married to a German, and have German children, but you yourself are a Nigeria... you are probably going to have better ties to Germany. And that is fine, but we also recommend that people in a situation like this apply in Germany.
On the other hand, if you are a Nigerian student in the UK, you probably don't have many ties in UK and need to consider applying for your visa in Nigeria where your ties are well established.
Another way out is to look through a specific persons posts, like LagosNIV or LadyG, if you don't want to go through the thread.

please i need your swift response...my hubby and i have been denied twice at lagos embassy. Now are about to try again for xmas holiday, should i change my venue to abuja or still use lagos. secondly, my elder sister who is a citizen filed migration form for me before i married. should i fill it ....
Changing the location makes no difference. You'll have to address the possible reasons for the first two denials. Did you use an agent? Perhaps you can share your transcript with us if you still remember the details.

What do you mean by 'migration form'? The lottery? If it's the lottery, they understand that a lot of people attempted and didn't win. It does not make you a potential immigrant.

Hello, Please how can I confirm if a car is stolen or not. Am about to buy a naija used car. Am not buying from a dealer...the owner advertised by himself... Car already inspected and price agreed...but because I don't knw him from Adam I need to be sure of my dealings... I need advice from experience nairalanders
Did the owner say he is the first user in Nigeria? Check the custom papers then check the VIN to see when it was first brought into Nigeria/Cotonou.

Also do a check on the plate number to see what name/address it is registered in. Someone at the FRSC office can help you with this.

I've almost bought suspected stolen cars twice from nairaland.

I once tried to buy a car whose plate number check came up with an entirely different car/name/address. When I asked the owner he said he doesn't know how that's possible that he gave it to a woman to register the car for him. He said since I have the custom papers I can register it as a new car.

The second time that this was helpful, the person then admitted that he was the second user and did change of ownership, meanwhile he never mentioned this before and said he imported it himself.

The second red light was the VIN number had no history meaning it was bought brand new in Nigeria. It was a 2007 Camry. Meanwhile the guy has custom papers saying the car was imported second hand from U.S.

I hope this helps.

Please which salary is acceptable to present to the consular ?OR how much should one have in his account to go for holiday? Is a 200k before tax ok? or 100k take home? Please advice, your response will be much appreciated. And is it only married that are getting visas?
Typically enough for you to buy your ticket, living expenses for your trip and money left in the account for you to return home to. But there's no hard and fast rule to this as you will notice if you take your time to read through this thread. Bank statements are usually not checked.

For your salary, your income is your 100k after tax I.e your take home.

You need to be specific with your figures, if you are paid N3m 6months salary in advance then call it 6months and not about 6 months

If you get paid 180k monthly then that its 180k monthly and not maybe 180k, how do you expect the VO to believe you when you are not specific with your salary?

State clearly how much you get paid as stated in your payslip then explain any other additional income that adds up to your annual income
I thought it was obvious enough but anyways I'm saying 'maybe' / 'say' /'about' because I don't want to put exact figures incase I one day mention where I work, on another thread perhaps

NLNG is my bull's eye. The alternative of which I refuse to think about.
As much as I want NLNG, when I think of my current job, I am instantly thankful and grateful to God.

I pray God grants you your heart desire. Will be looking forward to your testimony.

What is that for?
That's about 6 months salary paid in advance, in January
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by NanaF: 10:49pm On Sep 24, 2015
justwise:
Your leave allowance is not part of your monthly salary, your monthly salary is fixed and should be stated as its. If you are paid 1 naira monthly then that is your salary.
I get an upfront of say N3m and then earn maybe 180k for the rest of the year (except months of leave allowance and 13th month). 180k per month as a monthly income is not a true representation of my income, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

My leave allowance is part of my annual salary of let's say N5m, same as my 13th month. It's stated on my offer letter. The true representation of my monthly income is to divide my net annual salary (after tax) by 12. I can choose to get my leave allowance at any month in the year. If I leave my company abruptly, I will have to refund that money to them.
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by NanaF: 10:30pm On Sep 24, 2015
Still on salary issue, my annual salary on my pay slip includes my leave allowance+upfront+13th month. I divided by 12, deducted estimated tax and arrived at my monthly take home which I filled. I also got a letter from my company which stated my my total cost to the company but this, of course, wasn't looked at.

Jennytbell used the wrong expression but I think Omooloriredade summarized it nicely.

Good morning VO.. I applied this year march for a us visa but was denied because I did nt apply with my husband and two boys. Now I want to go to dubai this December with my two boys and then reapply next year May with my two boys cos my husband is not interested in travelling for now. My passport still carries my maiden name. But my kids have their fathers name. I hope we have a chance
You cant know that's the reason you were denied. The paper given to you will show that you didn't demonstrate sufficient ties and that's about all the information you will get. Leaving your husband and son behind is actually good ties for you, so there may be other red flags which you haven't identified.

It's good that you're traveling with your children to build travel history.

As per your maiden name, I believe you can explain that and also carry your marriage certificate if further explanation is needed. Be sure to change it when your passport expires though.

How's your own individual history? Was that your first time applying for a u.s visa?

Succinctly explained. Let me know quick whether to come back to naija and lounge for 3 months before resuming or hustle and process Australian work permit and never set foot in Africa again. Abeg decisions need to be made.
Please go to Australia. There. Settled. No problem again.

Why would you base your life decisions on a company hiring you? Hustle and process your Australian work permit. If it works and this also comes through then you can weigh your options and make another decision.

On another note, complaints are getting rather boring. I'm sure we can find better use for this thread before mails come in.
