Playing Grand Theft Auto V. Didn't really pick interest until 3 days ago. God, I love Trevor (big bag of douche) and Frank(typical hood rat). Wish I could take like a week off from work and family to play this game to the end. wink
Art, Graphics & VideoNeed Help Finding This Screen Printing Supply Product by NarnieAceTech(op): 10:38am On Jan 21, 2021
Hello, people. I just went through training on screen printing art (Branding and Customizing T-shirts, Jerseys and so on). I'm done with the class and I've bought most of the supplies needed to kick start my own T-shirt printing business but the one product I can't find is called Dry pallet/table adhesive.

It is in aerosol and liquid form. Basically, all it does is to hold down the shirt from moving when printing your designs. I have gotten few orders for T-shirts but I'm yet to start work because of this little issue.

I have browsed through the internet, gone to different art supply stores but it yielded no result.

Who can help me locate where I can buy it. To my fellow screen printers, please help a brother out. Thank you.

When I have decided on the theme I want to use.
I download and extracts the zip file.

I can write my own function, customize anything I want change lots of things, etc...

After I am don and everything is working fine I upload it.
Please where do you download these themes, and are they free? The ones I have seen and used are limited, and can only be accessed if you buy the premium version

You don't code wordpress themes
Since you develop WordPress themes with php, how come you don't code them? Am I missing something here?

For backend, I love PHP, trying so hard to switch over to Python. As a WordPress Theme Developer I can't do without PHP
Pardon me, do you use OOP or Procedural to develop these themes? what frontend library/framework do you use?

wink Nice one OP
If I am to add to this start your Backend with PHP
Because of Wordpress...

I am a freelancer I know both Nodejs and PHP
But PHP has given me more money...

It earns me more during COVID 19 lockdown
I design website for people with Wordpress and I customize it with PHP...

It’s just my 0.1

PHP is not better but if your are not working full time, you can easily get gigs
Interesting. How do you customize it with php? I most times build mine from scratch, and it is time-wasting, I believe. I wanna know how to tweak a WordPress website with my little php knowledge. Thanks.
Technology MarketRe: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by NarnieAceTech: 12:32pm On Jan 09, 2021
Hello AE shoppers. Please, I wanted to order a certain quantity of goods from Alibaba but the shipping cost to Nigeria is about N15k. Which is even way past the cost price and possible profit I'm to make. Can someone recommend a fast, affordable and reliable way to ship from china.

I'm trying out mini-importation and i don't want to fall into the wrong hands. Thank you

FamilyRe: Can You Live In Your Parents House And Not Eat Their Food? by NarnieAceTech: 12:08am On Jan 03, 2021
It all depends on the type on house you grew up in. After service, I spent only two weeks in my parents house: I used some of the money saved from my allowee and freelancing jobs to pay electricity bills, fill the cooking gas, even cooked stews/soups I learnt from the state which I served under. I was even cooking my own food because my mom don't have the time to prepare breakfast before leaving for their places of work. Despite that, they still sent me on errands because I'm their last child and of course there's no ones else to send. I don't see that as "see finish". I mean, who else are they supposed to send to buy recharge cards, freshly baked bread in the morning

I left after two weeks to stay with my older brother, and continued my freelancing business. My mom was close to tears when I told her I was leaving, but she had to know that Obi is now a man and the earlier I moved out the better for us all.

Like I said, it depends on the family you grew up in
BusinessRe: Tony Elumelu Foundation Opens Portal For 2021 Entrepreneurship Programme by NarnieAceTech: 11:27am On Jan 01, 2021
ostechno:
Yeah, you can learn more on their FAQ page

What funding options are available?

Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs who successfully complete the programme by meeting stipulated requirements and deadlines will be eligible for funding. There are two stages of funding available to entrepreneurs:

First stage seed capital funding of $5,000 (based on the official Central Bank of Nigeria exchange rate)– a non-returnable investment. Please see Terms and Conditions for clarification.
Second stage capital returnable investment – entrepreneurs will apply and be considered for this based on the viability of their business.

So the first stage is jus 5k USD, the second state is based on investment for TEF investors
Sorry to bother you. How does it work? Do I apply and wait for the $5k fund or is there a process that follows after registration?
Nairaland GeneralRe: How Well Did You Do In 2020? by NarnieAceTech: 7:33pm On Dec 22, 2020
Finished youth service this year and I saved a reasonable amount of money from my allowee, website and graphics design side hustle, and then used the saved up money to buy goods and tools from Aliexpress for my business I'm gonna start fully by next year.

Got myself a PS3 console. I cannot come and goan kee myself abeg. grin

Took Mom out and gave her a surprise gift and treat on her birthday, though not expensive but she knew the worth and what it meant to her. The woman cried like a baby

Travelled to my state for federal government CBAT exam and I'm 100% positive I'll be shortlisted because I know I did pretty well in the exam.

About to launch my website but the network and light situation here is terrible, I can't even edit some of my files for my website and that of their clients.

The pandemic made me think and reflect on life itself; went on to YouTube to acquire some skills and knowledge which kinda boosted my confidence. Sometimes bad things happen for a good reason.

So far so good, frankly, this year was a little disappointing but still feels good because the positive outweighed the negative by a fair distance.

2021, get ready for NarnieAce!! grin
Nairaland GeneralRe: What's The Perfect Height For Guys? by NarnieAceTech: 6:08pm On Dec 22, 2020
I'm 190cm, almost 6.3 sha. Perfect height for a tall man that people like, especially the females.
Back then in school, I used to hit the gym on a regular. Not to blow my trumpet but I was indeed a lady-killer with my physique. wink
I don't like anything above 196cm. Being too tall is a turn off.
BusinessRe: How Were You Able To Start & Grow Your Business To Profitability? by NarnieAceTech: 11:47am On Dec 22, 2020
Since the day I needed to do some graphics design work, I decided to do it to my taste instead of sourcing outside hands. That's how my journey into graphics designs started.
While in school and during service, I started branding and customizing T-shirts, Jerseys for students, age grades, events and many more. Now I'm done with service, I decided to use the allowee money I saved to buy all my tools from Aliexpress. Still waiting for my packages to arrive.

Twitter and Instagram used to be a no-no for me but since my sister started using it to advertise her clothing wears, it's been sales upon sales. So I'm going to open both accounts and showcase my skills. Never underestimate the power of social media.

I'm into web design and development as well but I feel I'm not ready to take it to the next stage (freelancing on Fiverr and Upwork) or even searching for jobs online.
One thing I'm 100% about is that I am going all out next year to make my name and brand known. Watch out for NarnieAce

For your T-shirt branding and customization, I'm your best bet. My prints are crisp and clear.

P.S I recently (4 days ago) lost all my files due to virus from an external corrupt system. I don't have any work to show for now. Biggest mistake I made was to not back it up.

I have to admit, this is lovely. Smart move from Peter. Now I understand why he sent flowers to his wife to console her.
Not a fan of alcohol but I don't mind my tongue on this one. The design and name looks too original and cool.
BusinessRe: What Made You Decide To Boycott A Business? by NarnieAceTech: 11:50am On Dec 21, 2020
When I was serving, my boss sent me to get some plates and papers for printing. Since it was my first time, I went to a shop I saw their banner from a distance. I told the guy what I wanted to buy, he gave me the price and I told him what I had isn't up to the price he quoted, then he looked away in a rude manner and said "Oya dey go front na". I asked him if it's me he's talking to in such a rude manner, he then apologised. I told him I was never going to step my foot into his shop any more and if he continues to talk to potential customers like this, his business won't survive the next 3 years.

Some people wonder why their business isn't moving but they don't know those little attitudes can mean a lot to people. I am someone who deals with first impression and that impression should be maintained no matter what.

Just last month I sold a power bank to someone and two weeks later, she called me that the device is faulty. I have called and texted her more than 3 times to return the item so I can change it. She's even the one telling me she doesn't have the time yet.
I don't like getting negative feedbacks from my clients and I try as much as possible to maintain that standard. it's not easy to get a customer talk more of keeping one. Good service will always reflect with more references from happy customers, that's just it.
HealthRe: My Friend Found Chinese Yuan In The Pockets Of An Okrika Joggers by NarnieAceTech: 10:52am On Dec 21, 2020
In 2017, my mom bought a pair of cargo shorts while returning from her place of business. I found seven dollars inside while checking it out. I gave it to her, at least as a form of thank you for the gift.

Just last month I found about two pennies in a sling bag I bought, with expired credit card and identity card of a nurse residing in Southamptonshire.

As a man, you should set boundaries on things else that respect will be lost. How would you feel if your woman is over familiar with your neighbours, especially the males and they keep talking to her or touchung her in a disrespectful manner all in the name of being neighbours or friends? Yeah, Think about it.

Today was war men. Our CBAT centre in Owerri kept messing up, we waited for hours, till we were taken to another center along Amakohia-Uratta road also known as Warehouse.
Saw a lot of beautiful but serious faces. Omo, naija no be here oo. The questions were a bit fair, just that I really wasn't prepared because I got the notice quite late and I had to travel a long distance to my venue.

I pray I get the job. It's been a long time coming.

If you graduated at even the age of 30 . It's most likely you will serve. The NYSC posits that if you are above thirty, you wouldn't serve. So it depends on when you are graduating
My course mate finished at age 28 but due to ASUU strike and a lazy course adviser. No carry over or anything like that. He didn't get mobilized until he turned 30; then he was given exemption letter.
