Romance / Re: Is It A Guy Duty In A Relationship To Always Call First by NarnieAceTech: 9:45am On Mar 17, 2022
6 months relationship and you are the one doing the calling all the time. You have been dating yourself, bro. No cap.
A girl who likes/loves you will look for the tiniest excuse to talk to you, even she's out of airtime, she'd use her friend's phone to call or even use whatsapp call
Before my ex and I went our separate ways, (broke up due to LDR) even if she's at work, she'd still beep me. Send me pictures and blah blah blah. If I don't call her in a day, na quarrel.

Bro, you can clearly see I asked if there's any hidden fault(s). Because it has never been worked on doesn't mean it's 100% functional. Catch my drift now?

Education / Re: When Parents Storm School To Beat Their Child's Bully by NarnieAceTech: 8:57am On Dec 05, 2021
Growing up, my main soldier, my sweet dad always told to be fearless and face anybody head on so long as I don't go about looking for trouble.

I am the gentle type who gives you a chance to stop what ever it is but if you persist.....chai!

I once faced a bully in my class back then in Jss2. I was scared AF but I had mastered the art of masking my fear because most bullies feed on your fear.

My 300lvl, a frat guy threatened to deal with me because I refused to open my booklet for him. I told him to wait for me after exam to 'sort ourselves'. I took the fight to him, he had no choice but to leave me.
I even saw the dude two months ago when I travelled to another state for business. He's doing well for himself though....saw him coming out of a bar with his pretty wife.

Technology Market / Re: Buy Your Quality 18650 Cells With Good Mah At N250 Each. by NarnieAceTech: 2:12pm On Dec 04, 2021
From all indications it looks like the dealer is legit but those batteries are Samsung 26JM batteries, the 26 stands for 2.6ah. So I wonder how cells of 2.6ah rating can go all up to 2.7 or 2.8ah.

Dear dealer pls clarify me on this.

I want to get some to build a mini inverter of 70ah-75ah for just my room.

A times you need to try your luck(using your highest qualification) this is my first time of applying for NIS recruitment and I got it without any connection apart from God. And the rank is ASI 2.

This is something that takes place once in every 3 years, and not annually like Jamb or Waec that you can just try again. I was thinking of leaving and trying again but time is not on my side.

My point is, I just couldn't risk it because, who are we kidding, this is Naija and uncertainty is certain. I'm sure you know what I mean. I know someone who has tried to apply in every paramilitary org in Nigeria but didn't make the cut until he used his SSCE and it clicked one time. I mean, what's the probability of me getting it then....1 in 10, 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000. Getting jobs on merit in this part of the world is a mirage.

Congratulations on your first achievement in the uniform life. I truly envy you and and same time wish same for me soonest.

Mehn, this life no balance especially if your connection no reach 5g. Many intelligent folks (graduates and MSC holders) struggled to get even ordinary IA III, but a guy seated beside me during our documentation told me he was just chilling with his guys in a bar when his uncle called him to go to Abj for documentation. He himself never had any idea of ever registering for NIS. He logged unto the website and saw his name and rank as an AS II.
Another arrogant girl who doesn't like to participate in any thing and complains at any given chance, even came as an AS II. Smh

smiley smiley I knew Osun state will be on the list. God bless Aregbe and Oyetola.
Serving there was one of the best thing Nigeria did for me, as far as I know; Good road network, cheap housing, accommodation and food, cheap transportation.....and not forgetting that my favourite Amala joint along Dada Estate, Osogbo.

Osogbo is my second choice for a place to retire when income of age. The peace and tranquility is what I love the most.

Dannyxy:
So I just want to engage new officers and old ones in a debate, from your induction training, and subsequent training to come.

I don't know about all, I have a lot of info on induction in various commands, with new comers having to roll on the floor, crawl on the floor and all other types of "I just dey come " ritual.

Are this ritual actually making you fit and skilled for the job, or just making you more hardened and brutal?

I will like to hear personal experiences...

It is actually making me more hardened and disciplined. I serve the above listed punishment almost every day, because it is hard to find a ride to my state command in the early hours of the day.
I move with confidence, no matter what time of the day, with little fear. I even unconsciously put my hands behind me, while standing at ease when talking to people.

I always work with time, I wake up as early as 3:45am every day just to try meet up and I always try to be coordinated.

The drills and exercise has made me physically fit, I can stand/walk/jog for hours and still feel like nothing left my body.

It has been fun and pain mixed together. Sometimes I feel like I wanna quit but once I remember how far I have come, I tap my coconut(head) and shake the thought off immediately.

That's all for now.....but as we proceed, I'll drop more.
Thank you once again for your help, sir.
(Salute!)

I was watching the documentary last week on Discovery. I was moved to tears. People screaming for help, with non in sight. A dude lost hope and let himself fall from over 70 storeys. I couldn't hold it anymore. I had to change the channel to English premiership highlights.

Please, I need the help with some info.
Are we to report to our state command ASAP?
Is there any sort of punishment if one reports late to the command?
I am asking because I have something very important to do and won't be done till 23rd of September.

Hello guys. Please, for over a month now, I have been trying to collect my original certificate from the school I finished from 7 years ago. My main concern is that the APL might be out on Monday but I don't have my original certificate ready.

Can someone help me out with a solution. I am seriously worried right now.

guys I want to get a ps3 console but my budget is tight and I want to go for the ps3 fat, but I've been reading about the red light of death problem associated mostly with the fat ps3...
what are the odds of facing the aforementioned problem?
would you advise me to buy a ps3 fat?

I heard the ones with only 2 USB output are less likely to experience the RLOD, unlike those with 4 USB output. Not totally sure though. But I'd advise you try to save up if you want the slim or super slim.
Unfortunately dollar against naira is getting worse by the day. Imagine slim and super slim 4-5 years back. Now, unless if it is street, you can't get a slim or super slim less than 50k.
Godspeed, bro

Nairaland / General / Re: Have You Ever Been Accused Wrongly? Share Your Experience! by NarnieAceTech: 8:12pm On Jul 14, 2021
Back in secondary school, SS2 to be precise. I borrowed a friend's PSP game to play after exams. I promised to return it the next day. As the devil would have it, my dad said I was wasting money going to school since we are already done with exams. I couldn't go to school the next day because of no money for transport. I even had to lie to my dad so could go the day after.

I got to school and was greeted with accusations left and right by the other guys I thought were my friends. They said I wanted to abscond with the guy's handheld game. I'm like "what?!". So because of PSP game, I'll change school or what.

I was mad, I almost fought with them while holding back the tears. This happened years ago, but I can never forget how other class mates were looking at me. I stopped associating with them. Sometimes, I look back and say, probably they were just being childish but I have vowed never to have any thing to do with them again. We haven't spoken in years.

The Last of Us. 70% complete This game has taken away all important things I am supposed to do. Now I understand what game addiction feels like, first hand. I have two jobs at hand unfinished, but just feeling undisturbed about it despite the deadline to deliver is in two weeks.

Almost cried when Joel's daughter died in his arms, also when Henry killed himself after his brother, Sam got infected. Not really a gamer but this is the best game I have I ever played. I give it a 9.5/10 rating.
Yet to play the Part II but the game play I watched on YouTube is crazy mehn. Naughty dog did a good one in this game.

Romance / Re: She Takes Too Many Pictures And Videos by NarnieAceTech: 6:07pm On Jul 13, 2021
I have quite a few of them. They can finish your unlimited data plan if care is not taken. How can you post more than 5 pictures of yourself, wearing the same outfit, same pose but different mouth positioning. Have conscience na.

Until I discovered I could mute them. One complained that I no longer view her status, and I told her though I liked her photos and videos but I love my data more.

Truth is, they still act like kids looking for validation. I even have male friends who post videos about them in clubs, or if they buy new jewelries or shoes or expensive wine. They just need to grow up and face reality.

I'm co-asking o, and what's the duration to training after the end of screening?;
so I neither get occupied in permanent stuffs before then if it's a short duration, nor stay idle, if it's going to be a long duration. Thanks

I asked one of the guys at the gate, he said it should take a month or so. They'd have to conclude the whole screening before they start handing out APLs. Also said the training is 3 months. You will be fed and housed. Think of it as a little advanced NYSC camp for 3 months.
