kindheart213: I am in dying need for assistance and advice, i and my wife was deny a B1/B2 visa some time in April, the reasons being that we don't have family travel history together. She is presently pregnant n she is due by Nov. My elder brother lives in Houston, i just want to know how good are her chances since her condition have not changed yet and i don't know if it's advisable to pay all the Dr Fee and part payment before going to for her next interview. I have about 4M in my acount, i don't know if that is strong enough to take care of her bills, since my brother lives in Houston, accommodation and transport won't be an issue. "Family travel history together" hmmmm excuse that touches... This sounds like our dear black lady. My own advice is 4M is more than okay to take care of her bills in Houston excl accommodation and transportation. Please don't make any payment b4 ur interview cos it will look desperate. Leave the money in your account and reapply when you must have gotten quotation from doc and hospital, and all other burden of proof listed by our dear Phema. Oya Tvegas, Nef, Phema and all other profs over to you. |

Adeniyitob: Hello People,
Can someone pls help? I am in New Jersey and trying to fill the Nigeria Passport application for my baby but when I picked new York as the processing state a notification popped up that they don't have the 32 page passport available till further notice. I just want to find out if anyone in the house applied and paid for the 32 page passport recently despite the notification. Probably our naija embassy has forgotten to remove the notification cos I av been checking since I had my baby 2weeks ago.
Thanks. There is no 32pages here in Nigeria too. I just renewed mine, was told the 32 pages might be available in 2 weeks time but I wanted the 64 pages in d first place. |

Schengen visa can be obtained from 26 countries and I can carry my two left legs to any of them and they are aware of that. They just want me to stop disturbing them or they don't understand why I and hubby will always come to regularize kids document and mine is not mentioned. nefertitiram: So what's your plan if your visa isn't renewed? |

staa: @aadeg you Just stated my exact fears ..difficult situation that only the person in it can understand. Hubby hates Nigeria with a passion. Going to America means starting from level zero even with all the Nigeria degrees. At the end of the day may God help us . My dear, you are not alone in this matter, I don't see my self relocating to Europe añy time soon to start life afresh being wholly dependent on hubby. cos with all the degrees I will still have to go back to school if I want any reasonable job. I am ok with kids having same status as hubby but have refused him filling for me for now. When I gave birth to my son over there they kept questioning why I still use visa after 5 yrs of marriage. My last visa application the VO told me they might not approve another visa if I choose not to file for even residence permit. My Nigeria friend lost custody of her three children cos his son called police for her and It took her prison sentence and 2 yrs of serious legal battle to get their custody back. Abeg I no fit shout. |

olokings: Greetings... there is not Orubebe / Jega... however there is Jega team (@ Nerf) weh still dey collate results weeks after election has been concluded however we re yet to know weda PDP hold ground or APC go blow change weh we all go dey follow go now. now on to your point of topic, my 50 cents is that you should enter through DFW (Dallas) given the good experiences we been getting from there. southwest airline is still on weh u fit use transit to houston and even sef if you like, do road trip and give them naija style and trek from dallas to houston in commemoration of either Mai Gaskiya winning or Mai Jona farewell and statesmanship. lol..all the same.. best of luck. [quote author=nefertitiram post=33470455]Jega on the mic here. You know our coffee break is 2 hours and above! 45 to 55 mins by flight. Please buy your domestic ticket well in advance before your trip (like 2 to 3 weeks in advance) to get a good deal. If you buy at the airport, it may cost a lot higher. Also consider your luggage, most US local flights charge for your check in luggage so that adds to your cost. Thanks a bunch Prof Jega and Jega team, i appreciate. Don't know why Orubebe decided to reserve his comment or suggestion. |

Hello preggies, non preggies/boot hangers and papas in the house. I have been silent for a while now but very active following the trend judiciously with my calculators. Hunting for budget package no be beans at all. As a C section candidate, I am yet to see package cheaper than MIHS. MAMATOBENNA and CHIKACOPKALA more oil to ur banga ooo. California looks good but for C section its almost same price or more than MIHS, it doesn't favour me especially mode and cost of transportation over there and accommodation (ve been there twice). Pls anybody with a better suggestion they say two GOOD heads are better than one not two olodos . I need to buy my ticket this week b4 it becomes a case of penny wise....... I am a Sept mum. |

weaseloo: Praise God with me my people. My daughter's delivery was very successful! Dr. La is a great doctor and the hospital staff were superb. It is a world of difference between the birth of my first at Park Plaza Hospital and this experience. When you walk into WHMC you would think it was a hotel, beautiful. I dealt with two ladies on accommodation issue, though I ended up not using either because I am renting/leasing. But the two Soul Care and Pampered Care I would say are kind and very serious minded. The locations and setting they had did not work for me. I also came here to ask for a car rental service. Again, I ended up not renting a car. Someone was recommended to me. He basically drove me around to where ever I needed to go at an agreed cost which was cheaper than Uber and of course the Yellow Cab. I would use him if I have to go somewhere far and then use Uber for nearer journeys. I met a few Nigerians using the Uber service, one of them prayed for me and baby. Really interesting. There was one Uber driver that carried me from walmart. The guy simply opened his truck and started the journey. He did not even bother to help me load my shopping into his truck. You will meet all sorts! The variety is what interests me. I also met one Mohammed from Afghanistan. If I tell you I was not scared, I will be joking. I simply kept my cool till I got to my destination & just thanked my God! Lol. I got a few discounts. For the Pathology paid like: $70; Hearing Test: $163 (half price); Surgical Assistant: $200. Just ask for a discount, you never know, they may have concessions. Now in the process of getting baby's papers together. I have a question though. I have just called BA to add my daughter to my booking. My question is that I hope I will not have any problems with immigration and whether or not I got a return ticket for her. Please any mum that has returned to Nija via BA, did you have such an experience or not? sayoberry: Hello all. Just delivered my twins at oak bend medical center thru c.s. a boy and a girl Congratulation!!!! God's guidance and protection. |

nefertitiram: Just get into US before it expires. A visaa only takes you to the border. A CBP will stamp you in for 6mths from when you entered US, it doesn't matter when you enter, just as long as you get to the border before expiry date. shelly23: As long as you enter the US while your visa is valid, you'll be fine. There's no need to renew before you leave nigeria. The CBP officer at the POE is who determines how long you can stay in the US and that's the date you should be more mindful of. shadetwins: You can renew your visa up to 1-2 months before expiry. ive done it a couple of times dere5: You can travel before your visa expires, the important thing is that you get to poe before the expiration date. Its the cbp officer at poe that will ditermine how long you are allowed to stay in America. For example if your visa will expire on the 10th March, and you travel on the 5th March and the cbp officer stamps you in for 6months, you are within your rights to stay in america for the next 6months. And moreover,i dont think there is anything that says you have to wait to renew your visa untill the expiration date,i stand to be corrected. Gurus in the house should pls contribute THANKS ALL. U RE D BEST. SO DO I NEED TO SEND MY NOTIFICATION OF INTENT NOW OR HOLD ON TILL THE DATE DRAWS CLOSER? I AM ALSO TURN BW ELPASO AND PHOENIX. WITH YOUR RICH EXPERIENCE, CAN U HELP ME OUT WITH YOUR SUGGESTIONS, COST IS A GREAT FACTOR THAT WILL INFLUENCE THE DECISION. |
