Jesunro: Hello house. greetings to all the great men and women around. Oga Chrigo, i see/zoom you o.
for those of us waiting for response after medicals i would like to bring our notice to something i saw on the medical instruction that was sent to us.
check the footnote; it states
Note;It is important that you inform the panel physician of any previous or existing medical conditions. Failure to do so will delay the processing of your medical examination.
Do you know that i sat down and really gave it a good thought. i discovered that it might have been my fault. I remembered vividly that there was a time i used inhaler because i got back from school and was to tired to clean my room full of dust, inhaled it all through the night and got very sick the next morning. i was taken to the hospital and my doctor prescribed this inhaler thingy and salbutamol and the rest. i might be wrong though but i think these people found something i totally took for granted.
i just thank God say na delay dem say the thing go delay, no be denial.... abeg make una help me reason the matter along o
bros is not your fault everybody get sick sometimes even CVO dey sick sometimes , I have follow-up this delay d problem was d x-ray thing @ Children’s Practice, not only u remember, i know like 4 others guys we did medicals together same delay, lookin @ d email they sent me yesterday e b like say them don get d result, I think that you'll be doing just fine, if you relax a little,

Well,I don't know what Paris saw but the point is that it's taking too long for them to send back their review to CDHC. I have been there on several occasions and all I get is that they are still waiting on Paris. One consular who spoke to me on one occasion said sometimes it can take up to one year before they recieve the medicals from paris shocked huh Whattttt!!!! I thought I didn't hear right but that was what she actually said... This is soooo frustrating becos my colleagues who did medicals on the same day with mE, same hospital are already in Canada. How long more do I have to wait sad
that consular just dey bobo you, so you no go dey come their office every week, thr are worse situations here... some people medicals dey go 90days, .so just chill

jaybmich: @nasjay, Kclexa, and any1 who has an idea about passport correction, I need to clarify somethings concerning my DOB error on my passport. I heard it can only be corrected in Abuja. The passport was issued last year May, but I want to get it corrected, but I have no idea how many months it will take to get it done, and. And the ranges of fee am likely to be charged. I will really appreciate if enlightened more!!!
i did mine last year, hope u never travel with d P, it can be corrected, you will have to show prove of the DOB, fee charged. if u need am fast fast 40k-60k depend how fast, if you have to wait 3 to 4 months than you will produce all the required doc, you will not pay noing more than 10k, Please be careful when dealing with certain immigration office staff. most of them na to bobo you na them dey 0

joseph1013: Hello house, this has been confusing me alot and I want y'all to help me out.

Someone said anyone going for a one-year postgraduate program can get a one-year work permit and the employer can help one get a permanent work permit while working during the one-year work permit interval.

Another person said that it's not true. That the employer cannot help you get a permanent residency permit. He said the one-year postgraduate program would only get a one-year work permit which woulld not be solid enough to get a permanent work permit. That means after the one-year work permit expires you will be deported.

So he advises that another postgraduate program should be taken (meaning a second postgraduate program after the first one has been completed), which makes it two years of postgraduate study. He said that only then will a three-year work permit can be issued, and then a permanent residency can be processed within the three-year time frame.

Like you might have thought, it's confusing considering that the two people are 'experts' on this thread.

I need clarifications please. There is nothing more painful than seeking knowledge with all you have got, only to find out that you have been dished alot of half-truths.

How does one get a permanent residency permit after doing a postgraduate program in canada?

Thanks y'all

kitty_sunshine: Kclexa, that is so on point. The use of form A will help save a lot of money especially wen u are paying huge like for tuition but all protocols must be observed. The bank will request for ur letter of admission, NYSC discharge certificate, first degree certificate, a demand of payment on the school letter head showing the amount u want to pay and account details of the school. Too much documentation right? Yes, the bank needs to give this information to CBN to show that it is not illegal transfer and not for fraudulent motive.
Fidelity Bank only ask for LOA, and your Passport

solomonwis: To people who think “the embassy have no right to know what you have as balance in your SOA”,I have bad news for you. You gave them the right to know everything and anything regarding the SOA you present for the purpose of securing a TRV. I have seen a refusal notice of somebody who doctored his SOA. He gave the right account info but the transactions and the account balance were doctored. The embassy wrote a strong worded letter telling him when they got the response from the bank detailing the fact that though he gave the right SOA details but the transactions and the balance were doctored. This is no hearsay, the guy was subsequently banned.

Don't be deceived, when the embassy feels there's something fishy about your application {and they always find out because they are trained to do so} they will verify anything and everything about what you present to aid the issuance of TRV. Some might have scaled through because they are lucky {and not everybody will be that lucky} it doesn't make the process flawed.

AGAIN,you gave the embassy the right to verify anything and everything presented for TRV when you sign at the end of your application. Many of us don't get to read the info before signing either via online route or paper route. They stated therein that the information may be shared with other bodies in accordance with subsection 8{2} of the Privacy Act.Information may be disclosed to bodies listed listed therein.

EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING CAN/MAY BE CONFIRMED,you gave them the authority to when you sign your schedule 1 form IMM 5257{07-2013}.

If you nurse the ambition of trying anything fake especially with Canada/UK you will be caught and the consequences will be damning.
pls try understand our point here, nobody is talking about anything fake here, the embassy have right to know what you have as balance in your SOA, but they have no right to know what you have as balance after you have submitted your SOA, If embassy wants to know if your acct still carries weight, they will call u for current SOA, one guy here na example,
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 1:17pm On Oct 16, 2013
justwise: [/b]

Again..why are you calling them? What are you afraid of? What have you got to hide?
Take it easy @justwise, take it easy, , what will I b afraid of. I called Just to verify d discussion if u where right or not, how will u just conculde that I have Something to hide, is just a discussion, and I stand on my point(embassy do verfy SOA but Bank can NOT release to embassy current account balance )
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 12:53pm On Oct 16, 2013
justwise: This brings me back to my previous question which is...why are you afraid that the embassy will call your bank to verify your bank balance? If you claimed that everything you submitted is correct and genuine why are you afraid of verification of that level?
I do not see anything wrong with discussion like this, e b like say men no like dis discussion @ all, nobody is afraid (justwise), what will I b afraid of. Hahahhahahah , I just called my account officer and banker fm diff bank, they both said is not posible to verify ur recent account balance which is not part of the S0A, u can call and verify urself!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 12:21pm On Oct 16, 2013
justwise: [/b]

When you signed the application form do you specify the area of your account the embassy should verify?
Yes o? you signed the application form, for them to verify all ur info n doc/ soa when needed, they can not go beyond that, how will they verify ur recent account balance, which is not part of the SoA, I just called my account officer and banker fm diff bank, they both said is not posible to verify ur recent account balance which is not part of the S0A, u can call and verify urself!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 11:50am On Oct 16, 2013
justwise: No its not true, you have given the embassy everything about you and signed the form declaring that everything you gave to them is genuine, the embassy has the right to verify any document submitted to them if such document raise an eyebrow, its not against any law and the bank do corporate with them embassy because its in the interest of the bank to do so.

You can not sue the embassy or the bank for verifying your account, every embassy has a section that verifies documents and they know what they are looking for.
They can only verify the SOA, they have no right to know how much is in the accnt presently afther d S0A, signed the form declaring that everything you gave to them is genuine, the embassy has the right to verify d S0A, they have no right to verify the account balance, that is not parth of what you signed for!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 10:19pm On Oct 15, 2013
Onye oma: You're deviating from my point bro...I said and will keep saying that they verify the SOA...and also do for the other docx @ their own discretion (in line with all that Justwise pointed out)

Response to enquiries from Embassies is a dedicated job junction of a particular unit in the bank called......
(As such,it doesn't take all the time you attributed to it)
Go and make research so you'll see for yourself.
@justwise nobody is worried abut embassy callin the bank to verify documents, we all know :Play with fire, you'll get burned: @ Onye oma u never can tell d way CDHC works, i have my reasons, i stand on my point u never can tell d way CDHC works, u said u're 100% sure pls go down a little, 100% too much
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 9:36pm On Oct 15, 2013
Onye oma: They don't need to contact ur close friend or his a/c officer before they verify the authenticity of the SOA you submitted...

There is a unit in charge of it @ every bank's head office....tis their routine duty to relay that info to the embassy...

Also,@ d bolded...they verify the a/c balance on daily basis...so relax my man...anyone not comfortable with it can as well stop dreaming abt Canada
they can not verify your a/c balance on daily basis; they only verify the authenticity of the SOA you submitted, the bank's head office will contact the account officer,
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by nasjay: 9:12pm On Oct 15, 2013
kjbobo: Nanana....I used a very close friend's account as one of my sponsors....and I can categorically tell you they didn't contact him or his account officer! You don't make statement and tell people to go research(it's called fallacy)...if u coming for a research based prog... You will know you ha've to back up any claim with evidence!
Secondly,do you know how weighty it is for banks to disclose bank accounts of say a sponsor who is your uncle in quote without his due consent?honestly, this task is easy for them to carry out in Naija cos of our criminal records....all the Africans in my class had less stress and verification exercise to come in......
So please explain how my friend's account wasn't verifiedhuh?
bro u are right, @ Onye oma u never can tell d way CDHC works,
