I wonder where the research dude is now. I tell you, a database is one of the greatest inventions of man. It stores BS in a safe place for a day of reckoning. I wonder what are we "unveiling" now.

Ah! I know We've just unveiled "No point agenda"
Politics › Re: Airforce Base In Asaba And Warri; Uduaghan Deserve Commendation by nateevs(m): 8:37am On Jul 19, 2011
I kid you not but this is the view that most Nigerians hold. How can we cease voting in the wrong people when the average Nigerian has no clue about who should be doing what? When quizzed, the OP responds with a suggestion that setting up an air-force base is akin to the SG rehabilitating a federal road.

Please remind me how smart many of us are again! This forum should have a civic responsibility in the sensitization and education of the people. Traffic or not, if I owned this forum, threads like these will not last a sec.

AVB was asked in an interview if there will still be the culture of the untouchables in the team and this way his response.

"There was no reason why not if players are performing at their highest level. Untouchable is a person who continuously performs at a high level"

You've got to like this guy. Let's hope he doesn't just talk the talk but follows through.
Politics › Re: Libya: Case Study- Nigeria Civil War (allied Intervention) by nateevs(m): 11:52pm On Jul 17, 2011
Why is it pertinent to talk about Biafra, break-ups and civil wars at the slightest opportunity? What do we choose to gain by splitting up? Are we stronger divided?
Politics › Re: Do Lagosians Still Want An Underground Rail System? by nateevs(m): 8:59pm On Jul 17, 2011
This is one major crap thread. The topic is uninformed, uninspiring, unintelligent and totally irrelevant. Why does this even have people arguing?

He said: “There’s nobody who wants to give out money. This road was given to Nigerian Banks to finance; Nigerian Banks don’t have a long-term contract. We were holding meetings upon meetings, but you discover that all they can give is money for a year or two years and what you need is money for 15 years.
Amazing.

Chelsea have agreed a deal for the transfer of highly rated Belgian goal keeper, Thibault Courtois.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 4:30pm On Jul 16, 2011
Second half so far. Kalou has been most lively. Lampard has been almost absent.
Most of the second half players look slow.

In all, players have not been consistent with the tactics.
That's why it's pre-season.

Now thats a player.
lol.
So how has it been going?
Do you still think FT will be our main striker?
Top talent Nathaniel. Torres will be main stiker I am guessing.

11 changes to the side.

Chelsea fans, we still need Alex for those far distance free kicks.
It's pre-season. Time to try all things new. We still have Terry, David, Rajkovic, Nathaniel Chalobah who can all play CB.
We need to know those who will be in the squad and those who will be going on loan.

Ramires and Luiz are not with the team. Kakuta, Matej Delac and Nathaniel Chalobah will all be going for the U-20 Championships and won't be touring with the team.

Talking tactics.

10 minutes I have noticed the following.

1. Atacking full backs.
2. High pressing.
3. High intensity - quick passing and movement as opposed to the gentle build-up style of Ancellotti.
4. Wide players attempting to cross.
5. Attack through the middle - passes trying to find Torres.
6. Turnbull is still rubbish.

Reetarded analysis at it's best. "If not for reh reh reh". How do you sweep almost a third of the season under the rug? Mugu!

Do you know how many "if not fors" we can create for United, Arsenal, & City?
You would think things like that are not said on your side of the City. Lemme tell you what Wenger said in the week.

"Our defence is great if not for set-pieces".

If Chelsea refused to sell Anelka before the season starts, I will personaly go and eliminate him
I wonder why many Chelsea players hold this view. Anelka is one of Chelsea's best players. You just need to know how to use him.

Meanwhile Josh McEachran has signed a new 5-year deal and Ryan Bertrand has signed a new four year deal.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 9:42pm On Jul 15, 2011
What all this complaining sef? What if Utd buy Sneijder? Calm down dudes. This link is the audio of an interview with Roberto Di Matteo confirming that the board is working on signing a few players. A few reports coming out of the camp reveal that the set up is different. The set-up is more about the intelligent use of space on and off the ball. Players don't do a lot of running. They read and judge the spaces. Emphasis on movement as a unit and pressing the ball high up the pitch.

So far I am impressed with what I hear. Torres is looking like will be the focal point. Kakuta and Josh are going to be immense parts of the team. I do not think Malouda will be a play a big part. Rumours are that Chelsea have agreed a deal with Arda Turan.

Of all, the most interesting part is that AVB began by reading out the new team rules to the players, The one which interests me the most is "Nobody gets on the team list by reputation"

I am curious to see how this plays out.

i was wondering too. . . . .tiote signed 7-yr contract in february with newcastle after posting an excellent performance for the toon army. his market value should be somewhere around £25 million but then you never know - alam pardew might need the wonga to buy the disappointing david luiz or the "has-been" nickolas anelka. grin
When did we decide David Luiz is disappointing ? And who the hell is Alam Pardew?
Politics › Re: Jonathan Proposes 7-year Single Term by nateevs(m): 10:34pm On Jul 12, 2011
Hehehehe. I laugh in 7 years. I said Nigerians deserve the leaders they get. Mr Jonathan claims 4 years is not enough time to make a meaningful change, so he now needs extra 7 years.

Brace yourselves people, this is just the beginning.

I voted GEJ not PDP.  grin grin grin grin grin

I think it's far from certain he'll leave. It all depends on how much Chelski (or United) are willing to pay for him. If Levy digs in his heels and demands for something extraordinary, the boy will not move anywhere.

If Tevez could be convinced to remain at Citeh despite his very obvious falling out with board there, keeping Modric won't be that difficult.
Tevez's case is different as there cannot be more than 5 clubs on the planet that can afford Tevez's transfer fee and wages.
Secondly, anyone who buys Tevez is guaranteed a moaner.

On the other hand, Modric is seeking a move to a bigger club from a club that's not in the CL (no disrespect to Spurs) and is not guaranteed CL footie in the future. Modric currently earns 40,000 a week. Levy cannot afford to keep a disgruntled player especially when Modric claims Levy says he (Luca) will rot in the reserves if he keeps pushing for a move.
Travel › Re: Eko Atlantic City. . Construction Update July 2010 by nateevs(m): 2:32pm On Jul 11, 2011
Actually a simple google-maps search reveals the answers. The other side of the link is Tarkwa Bay all the way back to the Badagry Creek. I hoping the bridge will be at least an 8-lanes carriage way. Though needless now, it will turn out cheaper as the real-estate on the Badagry end of town is going to explode. That side of town is going to be insanely populated in the wink of an eye.

Time to get a few plots, at least if I cannot afford any on the Eko Atlantic.
