Obinoscopy:Yeah but not usually the case most times. Do you know that most people do not even see well at night and they also have very bad lights. Several times on this axis. I have gotten down from cabs because the driver was driving in the middle of the road due to poor sight or bad light. I'm talking about lekki/ibeju Lekki axis. How many commercial drivers have you even seem with glasses? None! Does it mean that almost every driver in Nigeria have perfect eyesight?? We have FRSC officials around this axis but they only go after private vehicles and let all these rickety trucks and commercial vehicles pass without stopping them. I was driving one night, a truck which I guess was on about 120km/hr speed overtook me. It didn't have back light nor reflectors and then it puffed very thick black smoke. I took caution because I know there is a vehicle inside the smoke. Any driver could have run inside the smoke only to hear a bang. We need to be very careful. Nowadays, it is not even enough to drive carefully, the other foolish fellows may use their stupidity to affect one. God help us. |
I honestly do wonder why people ram into a parked vehicle particularly when it is not even on a curved road or corner. Are they blind or what or they cannot differentiate a moving frame from a stationary frame? I don't get it. Even if it is a curve, you do not enter curves with speed. I feel drivers who run into stationary vehicles are fools. |
datola:Dangote family is a descendant of the Dantata family now. |
kinibigdeal:Poor attempted photo shop. Why did you swap the original photo and didn't even do it well. |
eventowanbe:Yeah. I'm so vexed. That lady is a confirmed prostitute. That's her life, that's what she does. Imagine a woman saying a fan hosted her and another actress in Turkey. For what? Do you think they will leave there without being banged by the so called host? These ladies are just too loose. Once the media propels them into limelight, they start full blown prostitution for the highest bidder. How did the fan get your number? Foolish women everywhere. |
What last baby? Fake defence. Where is the protuding tummy? How about show the plastered tummy or surgery scars to justify the tummy tuck story? What a weak defence. |
This is a big fat lie. There is no crime in asking someone out or asking for a fling whether employees or employer. It is a simple case of yes or no. She was fired for something else and only held on to that excuse because she has been asked out before. Why don't she even start by giving a good narration of how the sack was communicated to her or put a snap shot of the sack letter. It is just a cheap attention seeking means. |
In addition, when applying for a job, remove other job roles or experiences that do not suit the role being applied for. The essence of the experience part is to know what you have done that is similar to what is being asked for. I applied for an ICT role in about three places recently and when I looked at my CV, the whole experience in like 8 years starts with ICT this, ICT that IT this, IT that .I even modified my first bank role on my experience to suit ICT/IT even though most of my work was in the Operations department and I only help few times with IT challenges, I still put.....IT support and Operations officer. I made sure that the IT leads. I am so sure I will get called up for tests/ interviews going by the CV. The point is this, you need to tailor your cv towards a job role with common sense. Moreover, do not have just one cv. Each job application should come with a specially crafted CV but most people are too lazy to to do this all the time. I modify my CV depending on what I'm applying for. Also, always have someone cross check for you and be a master of sending cover letters too. Through the cover letter, you can easily express yourself and even convince your potential employer about a skill you are very good at even though it isn't on your cv. Also try as much as possible not to make grammatical flaws. If you are going to put that career goal that is usually on top in your CV, do not use one all the time, always rewrite it to suit the job role you are applying for and try not to do "copy cat". Trust me, recruiters can smell a copied write-up from miles away. Just express yourself in simple terms. Good luck! |
ednut1:Lol. Okay now. |
ednut1:You went to Ilorin? |
Seun has successfully turned nairaland into money for hand, back for ground. How come everything from this OP is being moved to the frontpage without much hesitation? Same applies to some other anointed OPs . Do these people pay money for these or just a case of padi padi? |
I don't know why people are bitter. You see a good goal but you cannot appreciate it but always talking trash. Even the ESPN pundit that complains about Ronaldo everytime said Ronaldo gave him a shut up yesterday. His first goal takes a special technique..... See the placing, two goal keepers cannot catch that ball with the angle he bent it with. Did you see his body frame as well as he executed that goal? Only few people in the world can do that. Talking about his psycho kick goal, where do we start from? He was on the left side of the field prior to the build up and he was so fast in the box for the cross. The ball wasn't crossed on the same line to him, it was crossed diagonally making it a difficult ball to control. Now, Ronaldo jumped up such that his leg was far higher than the defender's head. The distance between his waist and the ground was like the distance between the top of a door and the floor. Not only that, the contact with the ball was so clean, one of the cleanest I have ever seen for a bicycle kick goal and he also changed the ball direction such that a good keeper like Button had no chance. The execution of that goal takes alot of constant practice, fitness and sublime skill. Alot of great pundits have commended the manner and technique with which it was scored even Gary Linker. The goal had Juventus fans give Ronaldo a standing ovation and a round of applause even Zidane caressed his own head and shook his hands vigorously demonstrating how hot the goal was while talking to his associates. But, here we are being bitter. Why are Nigerians so angry? Why don't we like to see others successful? Why don't we like to give honour to whom it is due? Imagine some idiots saying nothing spectacular and most times, call Ronaldo the king of tap ins. Do you know the technical awareness it takes to be at the right place at the right time and connect with the ball. I played ball, I have been at Pepsi academy before and I tell you, even tap-ins require special techniques. When a ball with a high velocity is crossed from the sides, just putting your boots to contact the ball will make it fly above the bar, there is a way you must drive it, there is an height you must lift your boot, there is a part of your boot that must make contacts depending on how the ball is coming. So please, let's just shut up and appreciate an exceptional player that makes great goals look so easy. There are no words to describe this Ronaldo guy. |
Foolish44:Lol. OVERFOOLISH |
The blogger's English is so terrible too. No difference. Talk about pot calling kettle black. SMH. |
In addition, the phone only has buttons for the numbers and special keys like * 0 and #. There is no dial and cut button on the phone . Alot is definitely wrong with the picture. |
Lol is playing a cool game and doing well. Dude is super intelligent. It will shock alot of people. |
Look at the dirty woman that cannot even maintain a simple apartment. Look at how dirty the bathroom is. Look at how unkempt the whole house is. No wonder he went outside. Dirty, wicked woman. |
chenzen: ![]() Thanks for making me have a good laugh. I guess you are part of the owners. ![]() |
chenzen:You're right. I have converted my knowledge into cash making and it has fetched and still fetching me alot. Unlike you that's a writer, I'm a mathematics aficionado and I make good money from it. |
chenzen:What path are you referring to my dear? |
chenzen:Odeinstein! You think everyone is like a junkie like you. I have never seen nor felt any of those rubbish you put up there. You're claiming to be a professional writer with several syntax errors in your replies . You should desist from taking harmful substances that could be injurous to your health. |
chenzen:It is not about being perfect, it is about taking corrections. The guy that corrected you actually saw that you have an interesting write-up and only wanted it to be more visually appealing but you took it wrongly. |
Imapearl:Yes dear. He shouldn't have said that. That was so rude. Being naughty itself has tones and times not that one will just say nonsense at odd times. Let us apologise on his behalf and you too, don't do that again o. |
It is very clear from the picture that the said lady stole or did something wrong and was subsequently undressed by the mob. As you can see, there is someone else dragging her trousiers. The police man arrived just in time to save her from a supposed mob action/ humiliation. The police man is most likely laughing / smiling not because he is close to the lady but because of what someone around there ( maybe that guy laughing) must have said. It must have been something hilarious ......something like "thank God, your police friend don save you, you for see when today" or " Kai, oga police, why u no let us rob pepper for this girl toto ?" The policeman actually deserves to be commended rather than castigated for stopping a supposed mob action and humiliation to the lady. |
Imapearl:Kids have really invaded Nairaland. That's so childish. Why would you call out someone because he was trying to be naughty with you? It is people like you that look up di.cks and videos online in private and then start forming trash here. This is not to say that what he did is right though because that was very rude of him but it is not as bad as coming to call him out and creating a thread for such. |
Jackossky:Hahahahaha. This is so mild. What yeye non fiction jargon is he talking about? I'll produce five primary 6 pupils that will flog the OP in creative writing. I read his write-up too and was only able to make sense out of it somewhere in the middle. Nwa writer. Smh |
chenzen:Oga, come off your high horse and take corrections. Your write-up is indeed clumsy as it was pointed out to you. Why are you so impervious to being corrected? Because of your attitude, the topic that was supposed to be a good discussion and front page worthy has been turned into a "rofo rofo". Enjoy the exchange of words then. |
babatunny:Okay thanks. I meant to type "what does one need to do" initially. |
babatunny:Okay. What do one need to do to avoid that leg tearing thing peculiar to Honda products before 2010? |
kayjasper:Why are you taking pictures in the sun when the quality of the interior cannot be assessed? The leather seats seem cracked. |
babatunny:Why do you want to change to Toyota? Just curious. |
sammyobi584:They are phools. Even that yeye autojosh does the same thing by copying write ups and car articles online but will never acknowledge the source. The fellow will now have the guts to even put his blog as the source. such a shame! |
