Exactly! You get the picture. You can still balance academic career with the home front very well. You can do your research from any remote location including the home. It is obvious the woman never even spend her free time with the children. She never communicated well with them. I know people who are always busy but the children always know that "daddy will make it up to us when he is free" or "mummy will make up for all the busy times". In this woman's case, she never gave a damn.

lemme make it easy for you. I used the word 'our' because people open topics like this everyday. The truth is if our economy was good people won't be asking such questions because it would have been obvious to us all what we wanted to do.

Stop interpreting peoples statements when you don't know what is in there minds.

Economy is not the determinant for asking such questions. There are varying reasons for such. I was once faced with such dilemma between banking and teaching in which I finally left my banking job. So, it is not about economy. There are other important things involved and people mostly ask such questions in order to get the opinion of other or for others to point out a comparative analysis of the two choices.

By the statement you made, you implied that lecturing is his passion and the private job is the money spinning one and that the person is on a dilemma because of the money involved in the latter which isn't his passion but you do not have any evidence to back it up and who says one's passion cannot pay higher than something that isn't too much of a passion?? There are so many loopholes in that statement of yours and the guy did well by pointing it out to you.

Those faults you listed are not even peculiar to any particular brand.
I've experienced some of those on some "Samsung" devices as well. You should know by now that the older a phone gets, the more prone it is to develop issues.

I cannot even substitute my infinix phone for a Samsung except one of the very high end ones. An average Samsung phone is dead fragile and battery always go so bad subsequently. 1 in every 3 users always have a cracked screen if not 2 or even 3/3. Does this make the brand bad? NO. You can see 10 Tecno phone user's without 1 having a cracked screen but never for Samsung. The new S8 was the worst phone when it was subjected to drop test. The glass cracks irrespective of where the impact is, I read that last week. Although, the Calcare centre is a rip off, one still has the chance to get phones fixed unlike Xiomi and the rest in which you have no option than to leave your phone once anything happens to your device .

If it was Tecno or Infinjx that manufactured that exploding phone series that gets hot like a Burnfire before exploding, the internet would have roasted them alive but because it was from one of the song called big names, it was mild. Imagine what people will say here if someone had come on this platform to say his Tecno or Infinix exploded. You guys should cut these companies some slacks . They make efforts to get better and better year by year. They may not be too much of high end devices producing company, but they make functional phones to satisfy your everyday needs.

Read my last post carefully. you're not an objective analyst. why don't you go and copy the commendations too and let's calculate the ratio. The positives far out ways the negatives and I even gave you a link you failed to check out. I argue with facts and not sentiments. There is no brand without complains and the fact that there are few complains does not mean that the brand is bad. Go and read my last post slowly and follow it up well.

I neither sell phones nor post regularly in Tech/phones board but I would not fold my arms and watch another human go through the hell I have been going through with my INFINIX.

I buy all my phones at SLOT in computer village and the only terrible experience I have gotten thus far is buying INFINIX from them.

Infinix phones come with a one year warranty except if the fault was due to user's carelessness. Why didn't you return it. I buy gadgets and I can tell you that some gadgets come faulty. The particular one you got is a faulty one. Some Play station units come faulty too and if I peruse the internet, I can exhume alot of complains about Samsung phones and all. I'm sure you have people around you using same brand of Infinix without complains but you make it seem like it is a brand problem which isn't true. There may be one or two faulty devices but it isn't too rampant. Even on this thread, you can check that the complains are far lower than the commendations.

Check out this link and see almost 700 complains from Samsung buyers. Would this now be enough to say that Samsung phones are rubbish based on your analysis??

Keep on exxagerating your experiences. If your phone fails to show name, it happens sometimes when the particular number is stored in the SIM, phone and maybe in your mail as well particularly if it is stored with slightly different names. You must have stored it as maybe "mummy" in the SIM and "sweet mummy" in the phone for example. When you have a call, it will not show any. Moreover, you bought a faulty device. A very faulty one. Infinix makes very good phones with good battery. I do not take my charger to work. My phone can stay 24 hours straight or more with normal usage and 12 hours straight with heavy usage. Don't buy second hand phones. Always go to recognised dealers and shops to get phones. Don't play smart by trying to save some few thousands and going for something sub standard. Your bad mouthing makes no sense at all.

how about me put it to them this way: if you want me to be an in house teacher like every other teacher, then you have to pay me this amount of money; but the benefit will be that the students will learn faster ans better. and if you cant accept that, then i may want to consider being a freelance teacher and come only once a week to teach the Mandarin club and then charge per head.

There are different things that come into play when talking about PE and let me just give my humble advice.

1. Never penetrate a lady with the first erection. This is what I mean..... You guys are together, you get a bit naughty around the house, you get it up, take a break, gist, talk, get it down. If you can do about three cycles before the main act, you're not gonna have a PE.

2. Having PE is not even a problem at all if you can minimize the refraction period. Refraction period is the time it takes to get it up again after ejaculation and thus varies from as small as 30 seconds to two weeks. I'm sure a lady wouldn't mind if you can go on again in about one minute or less after ejaculation. How do you do this? So simple! yesterday, i sent an application letter together with my cv to about 9 of those schools but they have not recieved it yet since the delivery day is thursday (i used UPS). do you think it makes sense if i just go to one of those schools and try out your suggestion before the UPS actually gets to them?

and majority of those schools are boarding schools, how will the students go and inform their parents about the Mandarin club?

The in house thing will not pay you. It will take a while but if you're an in-house teacher, you could get private lessons to teach Mandarin depending on the packaging and how you present it. If a school gives you 100k and you have about three private mandarin lessons, you can make say an extra 100k to make 200k or more for you but lessons aren't always consistent.

The proposal thing you're talking about isn't something you should take as a big deal o. You can approach these schools as a visitor and ask to see the Head and all and if you want to do a letter too before appointment, that will be okay. Trust me, it has to be about how you "wow" them. I could give you good suggestions when you finally make up your mind.

i am applying to Atlantic Hall, Meadow Hall, Chrisland, Greenspring et al to teach Mandarin Chinese.
but the problem is, i dont know what the salary scale for this kind of job would be.

someone told me a lady in Greenspring who teaches spanish earns 400, 000 naira per month. for Mandarin, whose teachers are even fewer and the language more sought after today, what do you suggest i should be looking at? i dont want to sell myself short.

To start with, I do not think that figure is correct. Mandarin is not so common in schools around here at all. What I will suggest is that, you should not try to get to these schools but float a mandarin club in them. You start up a club and introduce it to the school. You can charge a 10k to 20k a term per participant. If you have an average of 10 pupils in 5 schools, that is 50 pupils times 10k each, and that will give you 500k in three months. You can visit the schools one at a time in each day of the week and this means that you will have all your morning time to yourself to do other things. Mind you, the 10k figure is the minimum o and the 10 per school is the average. You may even have 30 in a school. The number of pupils you will get depends on your packaging and how you wow them when you introduce the club on the assembly or wherever you do the presentation. You can even hire a Chinese lady for your presentation.
