Igbos can only produced a Nigerian president whenever they threw away their hatred for the north
I'm sure you don't expect a people to be killing our people in thousands and we hail them for that. Igbos blood have been sacrificed for so long to keep Nigeria ONE.

If my people say they want out, so be it. We are all in for it - we'll figure out a way to survive because we are a hard-working people

A typical Nepal man hardly leaves Nepal, like the Chinese do leave China, it does not in anyway mean that Nepal is more developed that China. It only means that the Nepal man is non adventurous, while the Chinese are, and the Chinese have the population too. Same scenario applies in your Igboland and Rivers comparison. The world belongs to the adventurous, not the timid.

Why would Ndiigbo be forced to leave Nigeria because we now have Biafra, do you know that we have Ndiigbo in almost all African countries currently, why haven't they all be forced to return home because they are not indigenous citizens of those countries?

Population is a blessing, not a curse, only bad leaders complain about Population, igboland is big enough to contain all Igbo people, and unlike some other parts of Nigeria, our population is hardworking, resourceful, productive and innovative. In Biafra, we will harness those innate properties to create a modern society.

Ndiigbo invest in Igboland, it's just that most times, we invest on our human resources at home.
The young man you see operating a small shop is Alaba, is probably the one paying the school fees of his siblings in the East. I do agree with you that we need to start relocating our businesses back home, but for some reasons, that does not appear a viable option now, not while we are still part of Nigeria, and believe it or not, apart from Abuja( current capital city), Lagos( former capita city and current commercial nerve of the country) and to an extent PH( an oil city), no other Nigerian town are faring better than Igbo towns and cities.
In the analogy of China and Nepal: wherever Chinese people go, they don't get threatened (like Oba of Lagos did) and killed (as in Northern Nigeria) like our people. Perhaps this is why we Igbos should be worried. The movement should not be immediate, but a gradual process. Instead of having 3 shops in Alaba, why not have 2 in Alaba and 1 in Igboland? This is my argument. I don't want us to experience a major tribal shock in the event of declaration of Biafra. I don't know what our elders in the east are planning, but whatever it is, know that all Igbos in Nigeria will mostly likely be asked to leave Nigeria that's why we should always be on the alert and prep for this movement.

Bikonu Ndigbo, the time to plan is now!

Our home states are ahead of the rest of Nigeria in real development, which is human development, as measured by MDGS parameters.

For a region that was turned into ruin in 1970, with no special efforts made at rebuilding her by the "victors", we have done absolutely magnificent, and will do more once we free ourselves from the negative influence , crab mentality and PHD attitude of other Nigerian groups.
Pls let's stop making this argument. It's obvious we are hated in Nigeria and we can't be begging people to be accepted. If we had focused on creating opportunities for our youths in our region, no Igbo youth would ever be going to the north, where we are always killed like chickens, for anything.

I'll give you an example. A typical Rivers man hardly lives outside of Rivers State because they believe their state has all the opportunities in the world. This is the mindset we should have. Instead of developing another man's land and calling it "no man's land," we should focus on developing properties and creating opportunities back home more.

Our fathers who fought the war did a lot of great things, and we won't be any different. If Biafra is declared, all the Igbos in S/West and North may be forced to go home and this population explosion will cause a challenge to Biafran govt that's why we MUST invest in our lands to prep for the worst. If we extensively develop our homes, we'll create opportunities for Igbo youths and reduce their migration to other parts of Nigeria. We must continue to think home because Nigeria has fooled us enough.

Aku na uba anyi kwesiri iru ulo!
PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze Chief Threatens Igbo Will Secede If Marginalised by Nature129(m): 10:32pm On May 12, 2015
I am proudly Igbo but I doubt our people have clear-cut plan of secession. If we really want to secede as Biafra then we MUST count S/South out and plan independently because they feel they are too attached to them for gains of oil and we should prove them wrong.

We can plan with Ikwerre and Anioma, and I know that after few years of being independent and poor marginalisation of the remaining S/South people by greedy Nigerian govt, they'll want to secede too.

But I believe in Nigerian unity. Igbos should always think home. Develop your state first. Don't go to other people's states and become too comfortable because a visitor will always be a visitor no matter how he fakes it. We must invest massively and develop our home states.

PoliticsRe: An Igbo Man Becomes The Governor Of Lagos State ( I Have A Dream) by Nature129(m): 12:37pm On May 10, 2015
No day goes in Nigeria without hearing one annoying thing or another about Igbos. Igbos should start thinking home. Take it or leave it, Lagos is a Yoruba land, we have many states in the east...let's go home and develop them. Remember that we are all Nigerians but there's no ONE Nigeria. We leave our region in thousands, resettle in new towns and relax as though it's own homes. The best investment we can make is that one in Enugu, Aba, Onitsha, Orlu, Nnewi, Awka, Owerri, Afikpo, Asaba, etc.

It's obvious we are hated in Nigeria and we are too important to be relegated. Let's think home. The UAE developed Dubai and the whole world is now going to Dubai, we can collectively build Igbo land of our dreams instead of developing another man's land and tagging it No man's land.

We must think home. That's the best way to restore our dignity in Nigeria, secure our futures and dignity.

Igbo n'agba mbo!

Nevertheless, don't ask God quetsions, take the world the way you've seen it, live a good life and try to fix some of the misfortunes you've mentioned. Remember this earth isn't our home, so what happens on earth shouldn't bother us so much...heaven should be our main target.

solarview:
Which is more appropriate to use in job advertisements?

Many a time I see people using both 'wanted' and 'needed' to advertise job placement. But personally I think it is more appropriate to use needed when it comes to advertising a job position. Because 'wanted' sounds more like if the person had committed an offense and is being sought after.
If you have a better clarifications please feel free to clarify the best option between the two.

Eg.
1) A company driver needed in Solarview conglomerates.

2) A company driver wanted in Solarview conglomerates.
Need makes more sense

Experts have argued that removing the subsidy will allow private sector move into the petroleum industry and develop refineries.

But I think the fuel subsidy should be removed when the private refineries are ready to start production so that we stop some cabal from importing finished petroleum products into Nigeria.

Students should go sit down and learn. This particular issue is beyond NANS

Ben Bruce gave an electrifying speech last night. He challenged Mr Innocent Chukwuma, the MD of Innoson motors to make cars that would be solar-powered.

He challenged all politicians to stop flying private jets...at some point, I almost cried. I just couldn't help but ask myself, "How come Nigerian politicians don't think the way Mr Bruce thinks?"

I nearly stoop up to clap for him from my sitting room, but because my cousin would probably thinking I was going insane, I didn't. I was sooooo impressed with his speech and happy all night long.

In short, I doff my caf for Mr Bruce. I saw the passion for a better Nigeria burning in him last night.

Congratulations to my able governor, Owelle. I'm so overjoyed that even Owerri people voted for Owelle. I think Owelle should ensure that the governoship seat moves to Owerri zone after his tenure. Owelle should convince Capt. Iheanacho to decamp to APC and make him guber aspirant in 2019. I noticed that other Imolites do not want an Mbaise man to be governor because they are very dangerous and cunning. Lol

Once more, congrats, Owelle!

Rochas is the most popular Igbo politician right now and the most qualified Igbo man to be president of Nigeria (if given the opportunity) because he believes in Nigeria and her unity so much, that explains why Igbos call him "aboki" and "malam"
