Gov. Dickson should stop all this drama and pay workers' salaries, please.

A state of very small population and huge federal allocation yet he can't pay civil servants' salaries.

What's he doing with state money?

You don't have to worry, bro. I worked for Ecoheight for a long time; he even trained me.

I bet your pay is guaranteed if you write good quality articles. Many people don't understand that writing is a craft which requires a lot of mental work. They just go online, copy and paste existing work without doing proper research.

Sincerely, I quit writing for Ecoheight because of the pay...now, other bloggers pay me more than three times of what Ecoheight pays.

But in all fairness to him, I will defend him anywhere because he pays his writers as and when due.

Thanks.

Sadly, Buhari will still win in 2019 even if he decides to lead Nigeria to hell fire because many people have since lost their brains...thanks to tribal, party and religious affiliations.

After seeing that video my respect for Peter Obi snowballed. That speech was inspiring to say the least.
The part that touched me the most was when he said that if he leaves a hotel room of 30k per night to sleep in one of 250k per night he would lose sleep because he would feel he had been robbed.
Frankly speaking, this is something I can relate to.

Enugu town is not the only big town in this state, we have the university town of Nsukka, Agbani with its 2 universities and one Law school and Ninth Mile corner with about 5 large companies. Nigerian Breweries, Coca cola, 7up bottling company, Aqua Rapha, Sharon paints etc are all here in Ninth mile. We have an industrial layout at Emene, housing so many companies on their large industrial plots with an airport sitting close by.

If I were to be the governor of this state, I will develope Oji River town, its coming up but we need more investments there to make it as big as it needs to be.

Emene needs to be developed as well. A place like Ukwu Orji in Emene is long overdue for demolition. Emene needs drinking water system.

Enugu needs to develop Emene because of its proximity to Enugu airports and being the industrial hub of the state.

AlNur:
Excerpt from a facebook post.

The fellow who made mockery of me last week for openly asking for a made in Aba shoe was an Igbo probably from Anambra State.
I should have known better and expected such incivility from him. You see, the problem of the Igbo today is not only caused by illiteracy and superstition, the remote causes of most of these problems are audible silence from the few intellectuals. I do not blame the young man who mocked me for asking for a made in Aba shoe, I blame the Igbo intellectuals who had kept quiet and the self induced intellectuals who are only good at pushing every blame that should come to the Igbo away.
.
I must say it and emphatically, that the addition of Jewish delusion, radical Pentecostalism, unquestioning Catholicism, and the value on anything tagged import which extends to those called importers, have destroyed the psyche of the Igbo. Today, many of the people you see as Igbo have no characteristics of IGBO. I have in my book, written about the characteristics of the Igbo. These characteristics were four in numbers. Although, in that book, I didn't go further, but the fact is that if we are to involve technicalities, we may wound up not having enough people to call Igbo.
.
That young man would have thought 'bigger' of me if I had come asking for a made in Israel or Italian shoe. The present Igbo somehow have manufactured a theory I described as 'the farer the better.' An average Igbo man in the east believed that things manufactured in Lagos or Cotonou is always better than anything manufactured in Nnewi or Aba and are likely to go crazy over anything manufactured in US, China or Germany. One would be asking why I linked this up with Jewish delusion. And I will tell us.
.
Among the Igbo wanting to be Jews, what lay behind those caricature Jewish hat and costume, is a regret of not being a proper Jew. This delusion is not just common among the Igbo who have become practicing Judaists, but among 85% of Igbo Christians. It was Nnayi Chinua Achebe who noted that:
“Once you allowed yourself to identify with the people in a story, then you might begin to see yourself in that story even if on the surface, it’s far removed from your situation. This is what I tell my students: this is one great thing that literature can do – it can make us identify with situations and people far away. If it does that, it’s a miracle.” The truth is that every Igbo Christian would like to be Jewish. Number one, they believed that Jews are chosen people. But who the hell is not always chosen by their own god? Agadi nwanyi chose Umuofia and she went to wars with them, making them pound the men of Mbaino the way pestles do to palm nuts in a mortar of iroko. Yahweh must chose the Jews, not the sons of Nnebisis. But for a people not proud of who they are, for a people ready to trade identity with the Jews, one will be illogical to think they're not to dive into the kingdom of inferiority complex.
.
The Igbos were responsible for the collapse of Asaba textile, the blacksmithing in Awka, the shoe and clothes factory in Aba and currently leading the way for the collapse of INNOSON and other upcoming igbo industries. The modus operandi for these collapses have always been the same. The remote causes the same. The farther the better! It was Igbo men and women that went outside to import cutlasses and other tools that crashed the Awka smithing Industry. It was the Igbo that went to Cotonou and other places to import clothes, shoes and killed the Asaba textile and those in Aba. But say it and watch the self induced intellectuals hiding in a land of proud people come up to shift the blame to other Nigerians.
Igbos are the second largest tribe in Lagos but IVM is as as scarce as scarcity in Lagos. Bit wait, it will be blamed on INNOSON or the government. You wont wait long.
.
Tell me in reality, if Igbo rich men and middle class, Igbo governments and Igbo organizations started buying IVM, if Igbo car dealers starts displaying his cars, wont it selling? Wont it start attracting businesses to Nnewi? But like the young man mocking me for asking for a made in Aba shoe, its the Igbos that will mock you for asking for an IVM. You need to see them in Alaba. The Igbo is not creating any value for the future. Some believe that going to China to import junks is value. Value, is what you have in you. For a people who value Israel and Jew more than Igbo, the future is curvy.
.
This brings us to our BIAFRA. It will probably be a Republic of Benin in the making where everything will be imported with local production dead and buried. Sadly, ignorance is difficult to cure. The same lots who go out to import tooth pick are the same people shouting dollar arigo. Why wouldnt it? Whats our value? Crude oil and whats the value of crude? Down. In the real world, its called the law of cause and effect and in the religious world, it may be called the law of sowing and reaping. The Igbos are not sowing better seeds for the future of Igbo nation by placing much value on import, imported things and importers. The ugly situation had gone to the extent where the Igbos now agreed that IMPORTER is a chieftaincy title. Because almost all Igbo values are now placed on importing, Igbo traders are now struggling to reach that most valuable height of import and not production and with us building our future on import, there will be an effect. The Igbo will have no investment value. We will have no export value and what more, our currency will be less sought after. Import based economies usually have low currency values.
.
The Igbo should learn from the downfall of Nigeria. Nigeria relied on import and the only commodity they export is crude oil and now, its gone down and Nigeria will go with it because its loquacious and effeminate leaders were daft enough to believe that the value of crude oil will always be there. To love what is produced in other lands more than what is produced in your own land and to love other people's fairy tale more than your own fairy tale is a road -- a very broad road and the destination is always cultural, social and economic extinction.

Why are you people always creating Igbo threads up and down here? How many Yoruba and Hausa threads do u see? Are you this jobless?!

Health / 5 Safety Measures To Adopt During Ember Months by Nature129(m): 10:37am On Sep 16, 2016
In Nigeria today, Ember months are known for high accident/incident rates. Well, for those who may not know what Ember months mean, these are the last months of the year comprising of September, October, November, and December. Ember months usually come with gradual subsiding of the rains and encroachment of the Harmattan haze. These Harmattan hazes fuel fire outbreak in marketplaces, offices, worship centers, farms, bushes, etc.

As part of our commitment towards the safety of lives and property of Nigerians during these Ember months, Deslog Energy Services Limited has designed simple precautionary measures you need to take. Now, let’s examine these 5 safety measures to adopt during Ember months.

1. Road safety: Ember months come with high rates of car crashes. Therefore, Deslog Energy Services Limited encourages all Nigerians to observe these road safety measures:

i. Obey all road safety signs and traffic light.

ii. Don’t be in a hurry to get to your destination. Speed kills!!

iii. Endeavour to avoid night travels, but if you must travel at night, ensure you drive gently and in the company of other vehicles in case of eventuality.

iv. If you are travelling on a commercial bus at night, stay close to the driver to always ascertain his level of alertness at every instant. Furthermore, board the bus of a known transport company.

v. Your life is precious to us, so, don’t drink and drive.

vi. Make use of your seatbelt while driving.

2. Electrical safety: Ember months always record high rates of electrical fire outbreaks in public places like markets, church, malls, homes, etc. Electrical fires are often difficult to control. Therefore, you must adopt these electrical safety measures to avoid fire outbreak:

i. Always switch off your electrical appliances if not in use.

ii. Make a checklist of all appliances in your workplace and ensure they are TURNED OFF before leaving your workplace daily.

iii. If you have Lock out/Tag out (LOTO) policy in your workplace, endeavor to implement it.

iv. Kids below 3 shouldn’t be allowed close to electrical appliances like extension, electric kettles, electric stove, electric iron, etc. to avoid shocks and electrocution.

v. Don’t manage faulty electrical appliances in your homes and workplaces. If your electrical appliance starts acting up, Isolate it until it is fixed. And if it cannot be fixed, replace it at once.

vi. Danger exists in having exposed power cables in your home/office. So, trunk all power cables appropriately.

3. Safe use of fuels: Fuels are materials which could ignite fire outbreak if not properly handled. They exist in solid (as in papers), liquid (like kerosene) and gaseous (as in cooking gas) forms. Gases and liquids have high ignition temperatures than solids because their atoms are in constant motion – meaning they are more likely to expedite fire outbreak.

So, we at Deslog Energy Services Limited strongly believe that safe use of fuels must be one of your 5 safety measures to adopt during Ember months. Therefore:

i. Don’t allow your kids close to cooking gas cylinders in your home. Turn off your cooking gas cylinder if not in use. Children below 4 shouldn’t be allowed to enter the kitchen in the absence of a caregiver.

ii. Do not store petrol (Premium Motor Spirit) in jerry cans in your home. But if you must store it, have a designated generator house where it is kept safely.

4. Fire Safety: Fire is one of the major causes of accident during Ember months because the air becomes dryer, thus encouraging chain reaction of fire. Take these simple steps to prevent fire outbreak and/or control fire if there is a fire outbreak:

i. Train (and re-train) your staff in practical firefighting using fire extinguishers and other methods available to you

ii. Have fire extinguishers mounted at strategic points around your home, store, shop, and office. Make no mistakes; DCP (Dry Chemical Powder) fire extinguishers must be recharged every six months so that the content doesn’t cake. Identify the class of fire your office, stall, and room are prone to and have the right fire extinguishers positioned there.

iii. Have a functional fire alarm system and practice fire drills accordingly.

iv. Ensure you have an emergency exit and free muster point in your facility/workshop, office, etc.

v. Have fire fighters’ (or fire service) emergency numbers of your state published at strategic points in your home and office. This way, you can call them if there is a fire outbreak.

vi. As a trader, understand that your shop is prone to fire hazards and take the steps mentioned above.

vii. Practice good housekeeping in your home, office, market, shop, etc. The risk of fire outbreak is hugely reduced in an environment where good housekeeping is practiced.

viii. Avoid bush (and farms) burning during Ember months.

5. Reorient your mind: Some Nigerians, most especially commercial bus drivers, believe that Ember months are a reminder that it is time to double their hustle, if you will, and make more money in order to impress their loved ones. These people need attitude change in this regard. At Deslog Energy Services Limited, lives and property of Nigerians matter to us so those with this Ember month misconception towards making money must change it now. Ember months will always come and if you don’t make it this year, you can try next year IF you are alive and healthy.

As a driver, in order to avoid exposing yourself to avoidable road mishaps occasioned by the quest to “make it” before Christmas, you need to change your attitude towards Ember months and making money.

In conclusion, as part of our corporate social responsibility at Deslog Energy Services Limited, we have mapped out these 5 safety measures to adopt during Ember months for all staff, partners, associates, clients and by extension all Nigerians. These safety tips are viable and reliable. Enlighten your colleagues and loved ones with these tips. Make safety a watchword these Ember months so that we will have a healthy nation. Furthermore, ensure you adopt these safety measures in your market, office, church, mosque, school, etc.

This is because the desire to build the Nigeria of our collective dreams is only achievable if we have citizens with sound minds and health. Safety is everyone’s business and responsibility, and you must take it seriously today! Stay safe and enjoy these Ember months

I always say it and will continue saying it, "Nothing strengthens the faith of many Christians, myself inclusive, as testimonies."

People's testimonies literally tell me that those "beautiful stories" I read in the Bible aren't fictions.

May God be forever praised for Him alone deserves our praises.

Congrats, sir! Your story will be a source of inspiration to millions of people that will read it. And I pray it becomes a point of contact for their miracles! Amen!

Let me quickly add that if any content mill has English language proficiency test, you must take it to prove that you really understand the language.

The truth is, what most of us Nigerians speak is a language that sounds like English but not really English. grin

Sadly, some of those tests aren't free of charge as you have to pay in dollars.

To stand out as a writer, visit international online platforms to learn good English (esp tense) because what our teachers taught us in school in the name of English na "I beta pass my nebo" grin

For example, when you hear people say, "I will try my possible best," "things are hard," and "people that matters," they wouldn't know they are speaking a language that sounds like English...I don't blame them though...nobody told them grin

You can't write that trashy stuff I put up there for a White man and expect him to pay you. The man go just click on Ctrl + del grin

Its clearly a Ponzi scheme. .they will pay early subscribers like you so you create publicity like you have just done and attract more people before the Ponzi paper pyramid collapses .

Do not say what you have no clue how it works. MMM do not have access to our money; we merely help one another. Mr Tunde pays Alhaji Ali and informs that Alhaji Ali has been paid on the website. The cycle keeps going on and on without any of the participants depositing into a central account.

My only fear is that the Adkins of the system, if not properly checked, could manipulate the system in their favour and defraud unsuspecting donors.

But as for the system, it was a well-thought out concept. The scheme is well perfected. Anyone who understands MMM should know that they pay participants absolutely nothing while they generate millions of traffic around the world.

I understand that MMM has worked perfectly in many countries so I don't know why SEC is raising necessary alarm because it will demoralize new donors. But then, our government has failed us in all areas of our national life, so why should we take them seriously anyways?

People have made millions, bought cars, built houses, etc from MMM. These guys should allow me buy my own car and build my own house from the system before raising unrealistic alarms, biko!!!!

The problem is not writing the articles but paying up at when due. Most of these people come here to hire writers to write for them, only to end up running away with the articles without paying the writers , or coming up with one story or the other when its time for them to pay them. I have encountered lots of them including infoguidenigeria.com, adcity, life solution.com, and a whole lots of them who are still owing me till date.

Na wa oooh!

Some people may be doing it, but certainly not infoguideNigeria.com. This is because I worked for them for almost one year and he neither delayed my payment nor owed me.

Yes, I was trained by Mr. Robert Ifiokobong and he paid for all my articles up till the day I quit because I felt I deserved a better package even though I didn't tell him about that.

Please stop this character assassination now. Remove infoguidenigeria.com from that list.
