Wen Nigerians complained and criticized d President for his delay in choosing his cabinet members what was his response? It was still ur likes who were all over d place making all sorts of excuses and giving all sorts of reasons on their behalf. And now even with d unending confusion as a result of ill advised and trial-and-error policies and decisions, ur likes still kip blaming something or someone else other than d ppl whose responsibility it is to fix things? Since wen did d govt care about newspaper assessment of their performance? Let him go ahead and admit disappointment in his saints and for once admit they haven't gotten so many things ryt. I think U really under-estimated how ignorant u are on d issue at hand.. U clearly have no idea power is generated by Hydro powered and thermal plants. D Shiroro, Kainji, Jebba and Zamfara dams are all Hydro power plants while almost all of d Gas plants have either been non operational or operating partially even before militants resumed hostilities. U claim power generation peaked at wateva and dropped but failed to realise and admit it dropped way before bombing of pipelines because water levels at d various dams dropped. D existing dams can b upgraded and maintained properly to optimize their various generation capacities but d govt is yet to look in those directions. Some were under construction and nearing various states of completion e.g d mambilla power plant, d second Zamfara power plant which was almost already completed and d Kano power station. But I bet since all u hear is nepa blaming Gas pipelines vandalization, u only instinct is to assume Nigeria is powered by Gas plants and d govt is here to save d day by building new ones. I wonder how long U and ur likes want to kip spewing hatred and defending mediocrity.

Diversification in the power sector is not an option for now. Let's maintain and upgrade what we already have now. But you see that nuclear power of a thing you mentioned; hmm I don't agree with that

I understand everyone's skepticism about d whole nuclear power thing, if yawa gas for d plant na National disaster but looking in dat direction isn't jus about processing it. We could Exchange/swap nuclear materials for renewable and other clean sources of energy seeing dat we are still faaaaaaaaar behind in nuclear advancements in d energy sector.

Are u serious or u really don't know? Govt thinking in dat direction? D country have been using hydroelectric power since donkey years already via d Shiroro and Kainji Dam mainly which is why power generation drops once d dry season sets in fully. Maintaining and upgrading d already existing once to full capacity so as to optimize production should b a priority first. With d deposits of coal in Enugu, anoda thermal plant there should b considered and it's high time d nation moves with d times and start considering nuclear power generation.
