Tinubu got a ride on presidential plane. He was looking for Senate presidency from GEJ and at the same time looking for VP-ship from Buhari. Tha man is a double dealer. He failed on both attempts.

If we take NL as a yardstick, it is easy to see that the votes from Lagos are Igbo votes. Yoruba on NL - and their hatred for Jonathan because they thought he is Igbo - mirrows their hatred for him in real life. Yoruba did not vote for GEJ in the SW. Igbos and SS people living there did.

SWners should count themselves lucky that GEJ is not as as vindictive as Obasanjo or Buhari. Otherwise, they will crawl on their knees for federal crumbs cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Either equal number of states per zone or scrap all states and lets do with zones only.

It is obvious where regionalism sectional, religious and tribalcoted politics is more pronounced. The results from the SS and SE is ,
GEJ is neither from the SE region nor an Igbo. So cut the crap. Igbos voted based on their individual convictions.

Anyone talking about merit should know that Igbos will simply take over Nigeria. Most of the successes based on merit have been achieved by Igbos. So we need zoning and rotation to bring everyone else on board. Or else, we take everything. You see, Igbos are not greedy.

A major political crisis was averted yesterday as supporters of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) clashed in Kabala Doki area of Kaduna metropolis as a result of disagreement over who is the party’s agent in the area.

This occurred as other supporters of the party chanted sai Buhari, sai CPC at the polling unit of the Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, as he went for accreditation about 11.50am.
Some of the youths were however arrested and taken away on the orders of the State Director of the State Security Service, Yomi Zamba, who told journalists later that those arrested were found not to have registered at the polling unit.

When Sambo returned to vote about 1.20 pm, security was beefed up with about 21 vehicles belonging to the state special security outfit, Operation Yaki, deployed in the area apart from other security vehicles and military trucks with armed soldiers.

Accreditation of eligible voters commenced early in most polling units in the state, with many of them completing their accreditation as early as 10.30am and waited for voting to commence.
Sunday Sun gathered that CPC supporters had besieged Kabala Doki, insisting that they were sent there as agents of the party, while the supporters in the area insisted that they were the true agents.
A the time of this report, security operatives were still patrolling the area and it was not immediately clear what the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state would do about the situation.
There were however indications that elections at the polling unit where trouble broke out might be cancelled.
In Narayi area of Chikun local government, the CPC supporters were also said to have mobilized to the area to serve as agents but the timely intervention of security agents prevented what could have snowballed into a major crisis in the state.

Before the arrival of the Vice President, there were indications that there would be trouble when youths said to be from outside the area took strategic positions and awaited his arrival.
While security was relaxed in most part of the metropolis, at the city centre there was high security presence.

how many states do the igbos want, 6 like the SW or 7 like the NW

i agree with the 2nd and 3rd point of the river niger

what do you mean by curbing insecurity ? is it in terms of violence in the north or ethnocentric politics played by Southerners.
7 states for each zone
Insecurity all over Nigeria so Igbos can get on with making money. cheesy cheesy

Igbos (in SE and outside) always vote. They do so unparochially, unlike SW, NW and NE.

Sorry but the topic is irrelevant as of now.

Moreover what Igbos need most are
Equality in number of states (very very important)
Completion of dredging of R. Niger and the new bridge
Completing the River Port project in Onitsha and the dry port in Aba
Curbing insecurity

After screaming that GEJ is Igbo on NL for the past few month, is he no longer SS/SEastern in your ppl's eyes? huh

You're still throwing assumption without stats around. Tyr harder or call more of your people to help put a stat behind your assumptions.

Point of thread:
Still shocked at your geography incompliance. You need to stay off Ame and go live in Nigeria. That some NL analysts claim GEJ is Igbo makes him one?
PoliticsRe: One SE state Had More Votes Than 5 SW States Combined-shame! by Nchara: 8:13pm On Apr 17, 2011
They are miffed that Buhari shunned them (ACN) and they know Ribadu has no chance. So they simply stayed back home. Even Iyabo Obasanjo did not vote. Shame indeed for the truncaters of democracy. But for the Igbos and SS in the SW, the result there would have been
PDP 0
ACN 2000000
CPC 5000 (from northerners in the SW)
PoliticsRe: Why Low Voters In Yoruba/Non-Yorubalands And High Number Of Voters In Igboland? by Nchara: 8:10pm On Apr 17, 2011
Ileke-IdI:
From the high numbers of SE votes, one can say that Igbos traveled to Igboland to vote.

TThat must be the ONE of the reasons why Lagos's vote is so low.

Yorubas voted for non-youbas. . . . . Northerners voted for Non-Northerners. . . . from the reasons given on NL and for the fact that more than 90% of Igbo voters in the SE voted for a SE. . . . .says much.
Which SE person did Igbo vote for? I thought you know Nigerian geography and politics?
Igbos do not travel except during xmas and new yam festival. That is why the census is always low there because 10 million Igbos in Lagos refused to go home and be counted back home.
PoliticsRe: Why Low Voters In Yoruba/Non-Yorubalands And High Number Of Voters In Igboland? by Nchara: 8:02pm On Apr 17, 2011
Yoruba in the SE is just a handful. Moreover they all traveled home to vote wink wink wink
PoliticsRe: Why Low Voters In Yoruba/Non-Yorubalands And High Number Of Voters In Igboland? by Nchara: 8:01pm On Apr 17, 2011
^^^^^^
Why dont you back your own claim with stats? Do you have any evidence that Yoruba people in Yorubaland voted at all? How come ACN was a disaster?
Check the ratio of registered voters to actual voters in SW. Plus, GEJ has never been a friend of the SW's. I have more anecdotal facts than you.

[s]Re: Why The Low Voters In Yorubaland And High Number Of Voters In Igboland?[/s]
Why the low Yoruba voters and the high Igbo voters (Igbos in Igboland and outside Igboland) is a more apt title.

Which Yoruba? The ones who sat at home and refused to vote or the  ones who voted for Buhari and Ribadu? All Lagos PDP votes, 1+ million of them, were from the over 8 million Igbos in LAGOS.
PoliticsRe: Low Turn Out in SW: Yorubas stayed away because no Yoruba was contesting by Nchara(op): 7:47pm On Apr 17, 2011
From credible sources, most of the PDP votes in Lagos were from Igbos and SS people
Yoruba either did not vote or voted for ACN
PoliticsRe: Why Low Voters In Yoruba/Non-Yorubalands And High Number Of Voters In Igboland? by Nchara: 7:42pm On Apr 17, 2011
Most of the votes in the SW were not Yoruba votes. Millions of Igbos and other non-SW southerners rendered those votes. Left for Yoruba, GEJ was going to lose. They have shown they do not love him. Simple
