The problem with this government and those who carry their matter on their head is that, When people are not earning much, there's a limit to the revenue you can force out from them. When transactions are not going on, you now want to collect tax. When people are not importing, you want customs to generate 2 Trillion IN 2016, Is it when people now find it difficult to deposit money that you''ll collect N50 from them?

Before this government goes all out to force money out of nigerians, the economy has to be healthy at least.

what the heck!!!

He has always been making sense. Just that some persons always feel uncomfortable when the truth goes against them.

Buhari Cannot keep blaming his predecessor 6 months in office, 6 months is too long for that. Now you should know those who will be angry with such truth.

...but as a patriot we must condemed the looters and support the government to handled them seriously until all the money looted recovered. you should blame the past government because if it did what Buhari is doing today we won't find ourselves in this situation!
Yes as a Patriot, Im obliged to hold buhari to account because he is the president. The past administrations could have kept blaming the previous and the cycle continues. It is convenient for buhari to keep looking at the rear mirrors because another party handed over to him. If the same party handed over to him, he'll be more forward looking. The present government in Lagos attempted to open some of the miss did of the immediate past government, we all so the reaction.

Anybody giving this government a leverage to blame the past government is most unpatriotic and most unfortunate. This government must wake up and build and prove their mettle.

I will not blame the past government, I will hold the government at hand to task. I know they'll want to loot. I will scream to high heaven. I will be forthright with my criticism. That's the way I can support them.
Politics › Re: I Doubt The Patriotism Of Nigerian! by ndcide(m): 8:44am On Feb 19, 2016
The looters are in power headed by buhari. The 2016 budget underscores that.

This so convenient to blame incompetence on past government. What if buhari took over after a war.

He can just save us the stress and do the needful.

mrmetoo1:
Firing the guy you appointed, to me, shows seriousness. Mistakes will be made how you deal with those mistakes is very important. If Buhari wanted to protect his guy, he would have. Guys did worse in the past and absolutely nothing happened to them. This country is rotten through and through and it won't be with the snap of the fingers to clean it up. This budget is Buhari's budget and he can't escape it, he can't deny it but for the fact that they are doing something about it is commendable for the lack of a better word. I won't go as far as praising them for trying to correct what should never have been but I appreciate the it seems the government is feeling the pressure from the citizens and are actually doing something about it.

All I'm hoping and praying for is they clear this mess so that we can get this country going. I don't care if no one votes APC next election, all I want it they move this country forward and let's pray that whoever comes after them also moves this country forward from where they left off.
I pray for the president in my prayer time. But I'll say the truth. The DG was a fall guy for the whole embarrassment. He was not the culprit really. That's why it's laughable. Firing him was just a show. nothing more. Parts of the budget involving buhari himself had terrible figures. He can't claim ignorance.
Politics › Re: APC Should Take Over INEC And Other Institutions - Oyegun by ndcide(m): 2:38pm On Feb 17, 2016
It's left for Nigerians to deal with.

We should be having 36 State RECs who will be card carrying members of APC. That way the "change" can affect the whole country.
Politics › Re: Budgetgate And The 2 Trillion Fraud by ndcide(m): 2:03pm On Feb 17, 2016
Some persons are shameless trying to trivialize the deliberate fraud in the budget. Trying so hard to remove the chief perpetrator and blame others.

1, The budget is owned by the executive. It is what they say they want to do. How on earth can they be mistaken about that. They say they want BMW and you call it error?.. How daft

2. The budget is first adopted at FEC before it is sent to the legislature. The FEC members also review the budget and defend it first before it moves. The president also makes his input to ensure that special areas that interest him are well accommodated. How then can he be ignorant of it.

3. Even if we say the ministers had no hand in it, we all knew buhari have been working with the Pam Secs all along, he even claimed that the ministers were not really needed. It means he must have passed his thoughts to them to implement.

4.The ministers came in and owned the budget, besides they are the ones to implement it. Or are they to implement what they didn't know?

5.Apc in general were all aware of this thing as they knew they'll all have their cut from the diverted funds. In fact that was the plan initially. The more reason they wanted a closed circuit government and are so pained that it's not going that way in the legislature. They planned to loot whilst shouting corruption and silencing others with graft threats.

6. The government went all out to defend this budget initially. Did you here Mohammed speak? "what about femi gbajabiamila, ndume, yayi etc. If we had an intimidated opposition this issues would have been history.

7. This unending defense at all cost, of buhari's " integrity " just has to stop. WHICH ARMED RUBBER NO WANT MONEY?"
Buhari knows that the funds for his campaign was from diverted government funds. You think he doesn't know that his supporters will want to get things for themselves? Let's stop this hypocrisy. Or you think monies from those expenditures for the presidency will not be used to compensate his cronies? Please..

8. They presidency believed they could pull this through hence the deliberate hesitation until the shiit hit the roof.

9. We could recall that saraki was to be used as the fall guy but he was proactive by telling the president himself how difficult it will be to control. FACT!

10. If it's not deliberate, how can the corrected budget still have obvious and brazen avenues for fraud.
You claim it's an "error" yet the corrections still have more avenues for graft. Haba some persons just want to lie to themselves. Let's call a spade what it is.

11. It's unfortunate the budget DG who buhari appointed was the fall guy. It's just a way to falsely preserve the pseudo-integrity of buhari. Besides it was saraki we heard of that was responsible.

12. The president still believe they can pull this one. Hence they are still looking for how to push it, rather than withdrawal. Sorry we all can't be blind.

13. The narrative of Always relating it to the last administration will spell doom for this government, if they don't stop. They'll say that, that was what was obtainable in the last government, yet they want to do same and feign ignorance. The Last government remains the standard.

14. We know sycophants of this government don't mind them looting while they call others thieves. We will not allow them. and the credit shouldn't go to them for not stealing. APC can be looking at the last government for corruption. We will look at them. We know efcc wouldn't do anything to them. But woe betide those who want to silence the voices of those watching this government or dismissing the claims of the watchers just to preserve buhari's interest.

zanga420:
my friend do u know what responsibility is at all? Even if 'ur' so called MDA officials manipulate it, what's d work of those sorrounding d president? that they cant go through the budget page by page, before the president put his signature of approval? Stop looking for poor civil servants to hang. Let d presidency take responsibility of its ineffectiveness/failure. A simple apology 'll solve this than blaming/looking for ways to hang civil servants in MDAs that clearly work under directives of ministers, d presidency n powers that be.
God bless you. This people can't hold this government accountable for anything.

The budget is first adopted at FEC before the president takes it out to the house. All FEC members must have done their due diligence then at FEC they adopt and then the president sign. Besides the president must also make his input to the budget.

Remember they initially defended the budget. Just because loophole to loot was uncovered by Nigerians and the opposition, they are looking for who to blame.
