What da heck question are ya'll talking about? These? So my dear Joavid: - Would you choose Nigeria over your Ebira ethnicity? - Why's Nigeria the only country in the world where everything is done based on tribal politics and not ideology? - What's Nigeria and what's the Nigerian identity? |
ndu nwanne, I enjoy reading your posts because you seem to speak from a hardened and unrepentant desire to keep this estate of Dan fodio, Nigeria, going or should I say limping as its been doing since its inception. But you have to accept though that some people do not enjoy limping. They'd rather walk or run if they could. Well, since you decided to join the debate I expect you have the answers to the 3 nagging questions posed by the gentleman. By the way, I've prepared my mind for your usual mud-slinging and curses whenever the unity of your grandfather's estate is threatened.
Haba!! You of all people should continue to acknowledge my courteous responses to folks like you. I never curse people who do not curse first, and only as a last resort. You may want to refresh my memory on the 3 questions you are referring to. Let me aforewarn you that i do not respond to irrelevant or useless questions. For me, more important questions which beg for answers include: (1)Why are you people afraid of democracy and refuse to fully participate in it, in Nigeria? (2)The fact that your fathers and grandfathers failed does not mean that you should not try your own best to make this country a success; why have you people refused to try? (3)Assuming you get your own 'country', you'll have to practice some form of government; why have you not aggressively pursued that form or proposed modifications to our current system, using the democratic process in place? You can start with these very simple questions. |
The sad truth is that, the most 'vocal' nairalanders on the issue of separation are unserious, lazy, toothless, impotent, and for the most part do not believe in democracy. As a matter of fact, many of them are closet communists as can be deciphered from their posts by discerning minds. We have an ongoing constitutional review process where there have been ample opportunities for these loudmouths to make submissions and put their resources, if they have any tangible ones, towards promoting what they purportedly believe in. Yet, these people have made no such submission. GEJ has also setup a national conference, albeit a seemingly deceitful one, but the same loud mouths are yet to be heard from, except here on nairaland where their tantrums have the least amount of effect. I have news for you people, dogon turenchi, or cyber tantrums will never get this country split up. You have to first come up with a plan to checkmate the "owners of nigeria", who will fight you to the end, to keep Nigeria one, before you will come close to achieving your aim. It is understandable that hopeless diaspora residents would not mind if another 2 million people die as long as it gives them some sort of hope of escaping the slavery they find themselves in. The good news is, Insha Allah, our country will wiggle her way through the current growing pains, and we shall become great once again, with or without you people. Mr. Gull can relate to what I am saying. If shymmex, DerideGull, Sam_Ikenna and most others, who are calling for disintegration of this great country do not live abroad, then my name is not ndu_chucks (aka Nduka Chukwunenye) |
kai Oshiomhole, haba!! This is worse than shameful. In my books, you are free to go an join PDP now, ewu. Indeed power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely. ![]() |
People ,always seeing anything south-south or south-East with great suspicion!unlike your usual attitude of defending anything muslim,i guess your people do nt appreciate the fact that Asari Dokubo is a muslim, who sees issues from the perspective of an activist and nt a jihadist.A fellow Nigerian was arrested unjustly in Benin rep.and all you wish is for him to rot in jail because he does nt share thesame awkward political idea with your ilk...GEJ till 2019.
Is a thug, Asari Dokubo now synonymous to South South and South east? Since you know that Asari was arrested unjustly, why don't you tell us his offence or just shatap. Where was government intervention when Nigerians were executed or wrongfully arrested around the world. There is a report out that GEJ sent a Presidential jet to bring Asari to Abuja, if this is true, the President has become desperate already and will lose the goodwill of the people very quickly. A terrorist and a thug, who has disavowed being a Nigerian, is now being treated as a diplomat - wonders shall never end. |
Misplaced priorities by terrorists. The "owners of Nigeria" will use whatever influence they have throughout West Africa to thwart all efforts to take their Candy away. The real billionaires have sent their first signal. ![]() The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has demanded the immediate release of Mr. Asari Dokubo, who has been in police detention in the Republic of Benin since yesterday. |
TechWalker007: At the highlighted...For the umpteeth time, I am not celebrating anything, I am simply commenting on the legality of the impending action of the house members. Stop trying to join unrelated issues. I've told you to open a separate thread if you wish to address the other part of your post since I have no intention of participating in the derailment of this one. I am squarely focused on the topic of this thread at this moment. |
TechWalker007: The highlighted shows how hypocritical you are again. If you are a regular poster in this section, you'd know that I am immune from name calling. You've highlighted some 'achievements' of GEJ's administration but I'm afraid those achievements are not particularly distinguished. These are normal activities which a mediocre government should carry out. Unfortunately, you people have been programmed to believe that what you itemized are great achievements. Certainly, these 'achievements' are not excuses for the massive looting and other attrocities I mentioned in my last post. None of us should condone looters, at the state level or federal. For the purposes of this thread, we are focusing on PDP, GEJ, APC, and the members of the house who are planning to switch parties shortly. Lets try to be focused here. If you wish, you can open a thread to discuss corruption in the states you mentioned. |
TechWalker007: Brox, you are the one not getting it.I had assumed that you were looking at the situation strictly from the legal point of view, as I was doing. You've put things in perspective by owning up to your personal intolerance of 'hypocrisy of APC and their supporters'. I agree that we can find hypocrisy within both APC and PDP and we all should condemn such. You are wrong however, to conclude that I seek the downfall of PDP because I am naive or wicked. I have seen first hand, unprecedented level of looting, theft, coverups, and massive fraud, the levesl of which have never been seen in the history of the world, under GEJ's administration, and I truly believe that we cannot afford another 4 years of these attrocities. So for me, if GEJ must go, PDP must first go. Nothing personal buddy. |
TechWalker007: Ndu Chuks, some times you have to keep quiet and learn.Oga, start crying us a river. PDP has lost this one. Where in the constitution does it state that the said division must be supported by evidence recognized by designated authorities such as INEC? Has any court ever interpreted that section of the constitution as you stated? If this is what you and PDP intend to fight with, then I wouldn't want to be on your side. You people will soon hear from Tambuwal and other house members on when the mass decamping will take place. If I were GEJ, I wouldn't fight that fight because it would render him a lame duck of a President until 2015 or earlier, when he gets booted out. Eeyah, I feel sorry for goons like Sincere_9gerian who have since gone into hiding. www.nairaland.com/attachments/229503_ROFLMAODog_gif3fa44b12f55ba64fc785c3a5794ba92e |
Adindu peter: "Section 68 (1) of the 1999 Constitution allows defection of any lawmaker if there is division in the political party of which he was previously a member or a [b]merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored." nPDP is not recognised by INEC hence its not a faction... I laugh at your stupidity. What is wrong with you people? Even Aturu himself acknowledges that any member of the house or senate can change parties, but unlike governors who can change parties at will, house members must show that there was division within their party. Anyone who believes that there is no division within PDP is very dishonest and stupid, or lives in Mars. Listen to minute 1:46 of the video and hear Aturu say that all that is required is to show division within PDP for those non governors to switch parties without losing their seats or having them rendered vacant. Even if the legislators do not switch, they can still vote as they see fit. Either way, GEJ and PDP are finished. BTW: I'm tired of educating you people. Denial is normal in cases like this one where you see your world crashing down right in front of your eyes. Watch the Aturus Channels Interview here |
TechWalker007: I am not talking about representation in court but explanation of the section of the constitution you mis-interpreted.Oga, Aturu is positioning himself for raking in more millions by providing the said interpretation. I heard him on TV, and decerning minds know that he is full of crap, this time around. Not to worry, the shameless PDP will soon hire him to take the matter to court. By the time the case finds its way to the supreme court, the affected house members and senators would have bben reelected under APC. But we all know that, with life there is hope for PDP and GEJ ![]() |
TechWalker007: Oga, the said division must be a legal one recognized by both parties and the INEC.Aturu is doing what lawyers do best, making money by representing any side of the coin. |
taharqa: And who told you there is legally any 'Division' or 'faction' in d PDP? Abi, you nova hear of d Court's pronouncement on that mata... Stay there and watch real politics play out in d days and weeks to come..Continue to deceive yourself. According to you, only one faction of PDP existed before now, there was no division whatsoever in the PDP, nPDP/G7 are simply figments of people's imaginations, and PDP was so united that they publicly told some of their key members to go and join APC just to show the togetherness within PDP. As a matter of fact, to any Nigerian, G7 is the name of a forum which brought together the heads of the richest industrialized countries: France, West Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States. mumu www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
The day GEJ arranged for the picture below was when he became doomed. That day Ojuyobo vowed to get even. Today Tinubu may very well be one of the most powerful men in Nigeria. https://img.naij.com/business/politics/0d/1/tinubu-docked.jpg Ojuyobo seems to be planning for a last laugh www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
Gowon was the military head of state, not Awolowo. The buck stopped with Gowon. But if people are hellbent on blaming Awolowo, they can go fuuuc-k themselves, including you, suks.
I knew you are honest enough to admit Awolowo's culpability without trying to obfuscate the truth or revise history. I can excuse your foul language because it must have hurt to make the kind of admission you made. Gowon has apologized for his part in the war, we are waiting for the Awolowo crew to stand tall and offer their unreserved apologies for their hero's actions. Its time to heal. |
Watch and see. Their seats will be declared vacant and na koboko MOPOL go use flog dem if they turn up for a session after their seats must have been declared vacant.
Why are you people so lazy that you can't lookup simple information, but instead you'll confidently make pronouncements which project you as uninformed? The constitution allows for these house members to decamp, in fact Section 68 (1) of the 1999 Constitution allows defection of any lawmaker if there is division in the political party of which he was previously a member or a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored. Their seats cannot be constitutionally rendered vacant. I expect additional defection from the house and senate in coming days. I'm sorry to say that GEJ's days are numbered. |
There is too much useless duties and unnecessary duplication of efforts going on here, not to talk of ghost employees. I agree with the OP, the useless PH facility should be closed and torn down. |
ifyalways: I laugh in Ewe.Madam, I will soon report you to BecomeRichr. |
Buhari will surprise you people when he throws his support behind Tambuwal as Presidential candidate and a Christian as VP candidate. GEJ's days are numbered along with the days of lazy people who do not want to work, but depend on resources they did not invest one kobo in, or know how they got underground. |
Even ordinary Benin republic has the balls to do the needful with this thug, while GEJ's government is impotent. |
Hmmm, This octogenarian has no reason to lie or revise history. It appears that Awolowo made a conscious decision to starve biafrans for the sole purpose of ending the war. Katsumoto, Prof_Corruption, and others will probably have choice names to call this octogenarian ELDER STATESMAN and stalwart of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has urged the Igbo and Yoruba ethnic nationalities to join forces and develop the country, arguing that recurring mistrust between them has stunted Nigeria’s socio-economic development. |
To be frank, we all agree that GEJ is a good human being, unfortunately, that is not good enough for living Nigerians and those yet unborn. This President is presiding over the greatest looting of any one country, ever seen in human history. Another 4 years of this will definitely ruin the country. If this new alliance cannot get rid of GEJ, I'm afraid, force and Arab spring-like events will have to do it. I hope APC is wooing the likes of Dangote, Odetola, and others for obvious reasons. ![]() |
You people are getting worked up over a non event. The story was first posted in a CNN ireport and CNN clearly marked the video and story as unvetted. The author of the story is biafrazion Not a single person has been admitted to Israel for the stated purpose. Millitary personnel ko, Mascurade procession ni. If any of these people is caught, I am convinced that General Ihejirika will personally blow these Biafrans to smithereens. Check out the iReport dated May 2, 2013 |
Orchestrated for sympathy. Ineffective usage of wool to cover gullible eyes. If hit man wan Hammer big fish, dem no dey miss target. We tank Allah for frotection. |
So this man actually drinks hard liquor, and publicly while discussing important matters as well. I thought people were being spiteful, but now....... |
@FACE, na your face be this? Long time, how bodi. Welcome back sir. |
obayaya: that's no longer possible.. electoral act as amended stipulates that one must contest for an election and be voted for before taking up the position..Oga, please post this amendment to the electoral act so that some of us will be properly informed. If a party wins an election and the candidate dies before being sworn in, according to your postulations, the election will be canceled. This thing may not be as clear cut as you are implying. |
This is a very smart preemptive strike which I suspect was orchestrated by Obi. Obi and APGA are outsmarting the competition. I am convinced that APGA and Oriental Petroleum wil rule Anambra for some time. ![]() |
It appears that the new tarrif has kicked in. Some clearing agents now ask for N1 million to N1.5 million to clear used cars which they used to clear for N700k. I sorry for young up and coming dealers. |
In addition to bad leadership, the other reason is found on this thread which I started back in 2011. Most of the points raised are still very valid. |
