fabulous4u: now pls read kmariko's post directly above u and be enlightenedOga, you missed my point completely. What a pity. Anyway, can you show us that the airlines mentioned in the post you wanted me to read, started their inaugural flights with 16 - 20 years old aircrafts? That should butress the point you are making, if not, you need to try another angle. |
Religious extremism must be condemned regardless of the religion in question. Over human history there have been extremist acts by Christians and Moslems alike, no single religion has monopoly on violence. This act by Angola must be condemned by decent human beings. |
jmaine: Am suprised people are not happy this initiative is taking off at last . . . Na we dey winch ourselves for this country . . .Please reread Akanbi-edu's posts and just think about it a bit, that's all I ask of you. I know that you are not an unreasonable person or a known jobber, please think well and digest the post. ROSSIKE: Do you think brand new aircraft are like tomatoes you go and pick in the market?See lame excuse A forceful takeover is becoming more and more inevitable. These people need to be expunged from our midst |
He said: “By leading this type of campaign, APC has shown clearly that it is an Alaye party; it is ready to destroy anything if it cannot get it.
Is that what Alayes do? unu no go wound person for hia. www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
Just when government is washing its hands off business-like ventures on one hand, they are opening up another at the same time. Some shameless human beings here who praised privatization of PHCN to high heavens are here praising this move. SMH. You village people are feeling triumphant and setting yourselves up again. Very soon, you would start crying blue murder when you are no longer in charge. Only that this time, nobody will listen to you. This is the same way you villagers over-centralized Nigeria only to lose control few months later.
Ouch!!! Ogbeni Akanbi. www.nairaland.com/attachments/229503_ROFLMAODog_gif3fa44b12f55ba64fc785c3a5794ba92e |
Ngwakwe: You have just disappointed this and future generations with this your comment.Stop joining 2 separate issues in a desperate attempt to disparage a squicky clean poster. ![]() Don't be ridiculous! That I believe this man's statements are suspicious and seem to be a marketing strategy does not imply all the other crap you spewed. If it'll make you feel better, I am glad to tell you that I was one of those who stoned IBB in Zaria a few years ago. Now, how many thieving politicians have you stoned to date? |
KnowAll: What u don't understand is modern pidgin is not "wholly pidgin English exclusively" it is a combination of good standard English and Pidgin English. To translate that emboldened word into modern pidgin would be something like this " Na the exclusivity of the event na im I dey talk about here" . Some people might beg to differ by saying " Na the koko of the event" but we must not loose the fact that Pidgin is not Pidgin French, or pidgin spanish but Pidgin English therefore from time to time pidgin like any other sub-major language would borrow expressions, idioms and prose from the mother language.Good try. I remind you that pigin is spoken in several West African countries, and that 'koko' has its root in Yoruba and is not a pigin word. |
The day you can translate the phrase, "The exclusivity of an event" to pigin without losing its meaning, na de day I go give 100% support for wetin you dey yarn. |
Ndu_Chucks, is ogogoro like absinthe? ![]() Anyway, an Alhaji should not know this much about liquor. But, Chucky has always been a hard nut to crack. Dude understands and writes Igbo. He also writes better Yoruba than 95% of Yorubas. In fact, if not for his negative comments about some Yoruba kings, I'd swear he is Yoruba.
Ah Ah!! Who told you about absinthe which has been banned in most western countries? Absinthe is only about 130 proof, but Ogogoro is at least 160 proof. Why are people more concerned with the origin of an anonymous poster rather than the contents of his posts? I have told people that I have the blood of the 3 major tribes of Nigeria flowing in me in various percentages. I really do not think such detail should matter. Isale, where are are you from, asl? ![]() |
berem: Ndu chuks, is Seaman Aromatic Schnapps and Ogogoro the same thing?Actually, Ogogoro is better. The point is if Nigerians see Schnapps and bottled ogogoro side by side in a liquor store, they'd rather spend N2000 more on the inferior product, Schnapp. citizenY: @ndu chuks,Truth be told, I'm actually a teetotaler, but this thread is not about me. |
Ngwakwe: 20 years old aircraft can be new aircraft depending on approved standards. You wrote that "20 years old aircraft can be new aircraft depending on approved standards", but i submit to you that a brand new aircraft beats a refurbished one, anyday, as long as we are talking about the same model of aircraft. Why refurbish instead of just buying new ones. This kind of justification of mediocrity was highly unexpected of you. I am disappointed. |
Antics to sell books, shi kena. Why didn't he make this great revelation when he had no books to hawk? mumu |
KIRIJI: keep your stinking mouth shut! Must you attribute everything to the southwest? The person that created this thread is a hausa/fulaniI don't think that guy was accusing me of anything. BTW, do you know who I am, have we met? Just because you are from the Sho Sho tribe does not mean that you know me, buddy. |
This does not appear to be murder, they should release the banker ASAP! Does she have lawyers at all? More likely causes of death include Hemorrhagic Stroke or some sort of hemorrhage, possibly cerebral type. Nonesense. |
In the USA, I could find pounded yam, garri, even maltina, but no indigenous liquor could be found. I think you people should support indigenous products such as Ogogoro instead of giving them bad names. If GEJ likes to drink champagne or red wine, your stories would be different. |
^^^ hehehe, I warned you that when you get drunk before coming here, chances are you will start shaking like a alchoholic and will press the sunmit key multiple times instead of once. |
I'm sorry to disappoint those of you who opened this thread looking for an opportunity to feed your hatred of anything GEJ. The truth is, this thread is about you unpatriotic people, among NLers. Obasanjo was known to have enjoyed fine imported wine, with ocassional Oguro, when he occupied Aso rock. Did we hear from you people about his drinking at all? The answer is no. For those of you who have never tasted Ogogoro, I can assure you that it is much more potent than a 150 proof whiskey undiluted, and tastes much smoother then Vodka, when mixed with 70% grapefruit juice and 30% orange juice. People like you will never buy Ogogoro if it were bottled and no spirit bottler has any interest in doing so, because you people have given Ogogoro a bad name. Why must you people continue to insinuate that GEJ is a alchoholic of the worst kind, because his drink of choice of Ogogoro? It is very unpatriotic of you to keep bad mouthing an indigenous drink and our President who purportedly enjoys the drink.I hereby suggest that you guys lay off on the Ogogoro insults against GEJ, afterall he is your President. |
musiwa, Ah ah, why did you change the thread's title? Don't get me worked up o. |
This is about Amaechi vs Ngozi/GEJ, |
The dumb handlers of Mr. President's, threatened Saharareporters that they will file a lawsuit against Sahara. The threat is worse than stupid! Why would GEJ give Sahara the greatest publicily while exposing the President's yansh publicly, at the same time? If they file that lawsuit then my name is not Ndu_Chucks (aka Nduka Chukwunenye). Nonsense!! |
I'd appreciate any information regarding the membership and composition of this Honorary International Investor Council (HIIC). When was is formed, who are its members, and what are some of their important investments. So far, it appears to be a fly-by-night council without much (web)presence in the world stage. Are the usual suspects behind this 'faceless' council? |
Nice politically correct statement and a show of support of GEJ by Ihejirika. He knows fully well that as a commissioned millitary man, his training does not include the ideology that a millitary rule is worse than any democracy. In fact, a millitary coup is a legitimate tool to get rid of a despotic democratic governments which subject its citizens to gross human rights abuses and looting their treasury dry, among other attrocious misdeeds. Successful coups can result to millitary rule which are much better than the kind of democracy which calls for coup, albeit, the military rule should be an interim type. Nonsense Chief of staff and a disgrace to officer's corp. He is the type of student we routinely bullied in Zaria, just like Dede1. |
Kafiris and heathens alike, are praying for Mr. President. hmmmmm. Mr. President will benefit more from regular and daily exercises (especially cardio) than the prayers prayed by heathens on his behalf. |
@Kats, I will kill a ram the day you submit a one or two word post, or even a one sentence post. ![]() |
Mediocrity and worse, have become the standard yardstick for many Nigerians. SMH The OP definitely has a point. |
What is GEJ suffering from, malaria? Get well soon, Mr. President. |
edoyad: Chukwudi, you have finished making prey of all the mai gedas loittering your street now you want to go cyber. Good luck you wily pervert.Haba homeboy, dat one na cheap shot na ![]() @topic, many of you people like Katsumoto who are saying that she burnt her bridges were programmed to go to University, earn a higher degree and go to work for someone or some large corporations. If you listened to the girl's interview, you would have heard that she is now doing what she enjoys. I suspect that she prefers to be her own boss, an idea which is generally better than being an employee. If you are not an entrepreneur, I wouldn't expect you to get this point. Those who think outside the box know that she has enough notoriety to make up to 4 times her annual salary at her old job, within the next 3 months or so, given the right agent. You people should leave yhis girl alone. |
oyb: ermm . . .she quit not to do what she loves - she just quit.If you listened to her interview, your judgement may be different. I suspect you are an old coot who misunderstands the twitter generation. ![]() |
If you watched the introduction Patrick gave to Oshobaba when APC visited Edo state, you'd know that the man is a natural MC and really very comical. He will add live to the album launch - people will remember the event for a long time. |
Nigerians typically micromanage the educational and professional choices of their children, all in the name of the best interest of the children. While these parents mean well, they don't know when to let go, and let the children make their own choices. One of the outcomes of this behaviour is what we see in this lady's actions. Lets hope parents and potential parents learn from this. It is the children's lives, you have to let them make their own choices at some point in time. I wish this lady the best of luck and hope she realizes that she is one of the lucky people who have taken the bull by the horns and taken control of their careers by doing what they love and enjoy. Sadly many people will be stuck in careers they neither have much interest in, enjoy, or love. Young lady, if you are a NLer, send me an email and I will hook you up with some friends who can get you involved in the lecture/speech circuit in the USA. You can travel all over the country giving speeches about your experiences while getting paid handsomely, without any a negative impact on whatever your current career path is. Dalu nwanyi maramma. |
Cheetahs are fast but are not long distance runners. These smart Africans knew that if they kept running and kept the cheetah in sight, it would simply be a matter of time before the Cheetah runs out of breadth. The truth is, the Cheetah is like Mr. Bolt who can run at lightning speeds for 100m, but if you pursue him, you will most likely catch up with him before he has covered a mile. shi kena. |
kingbang: we are not savages like your people, we don't burn down our place! FYI, we had and still have a say on whom becomes our next Governor and we have chosen Obiano! Do you guys have issues with that?Your comments reveals a very extreme case of unsophistication and a potentially high level of intellectual migetry. You have my pity sir. |
