^^^^ Behold, the ranting of a bigoted ant. |
If they invest the $5billion which disappeared from the excess crude account, Ekweremadu will pass this measure ASAP. Rougues |
Alfa Seltzer: Was your great grand father a nigerian?Unless you are an old coot, I'm pretty sure your father is/was a Nigerian as well. |
Since PDP tried to show 'compassion' and out do Oshiomole, PDP needs to now top Oshiomole's donation by not only proving to the whole world that they gave (or will give) N250,000 to the widow, but by at the very least matching the N2million donation. This is the very least this woman deserves. I just hope, she will not dump her boyfriend, who was helping her with chump change, before she became a celebrity. |
Olunloyo's interview was excellent. People like this should write many books and articles lest their knowledge of history will die with them. |
he he, atete mole |
This eyeopening interview by Omololu Olunloyo is a must read for all, here are some excerps: You first became commissioner at 27, what was the experience like? |
Since this thread is for gloating, make me sef join to gloat: www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 But with the understanding that he/she who gloats last, gloats best. |
APC has accepted the advise of President Goodluck Jonathan in the concluded Anambra governorship elections, to keep their bids for redress within the bounds of legality and decorum. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said it would go to court to challenge the conduct of last weekend's supplementary election that gave the All Progressive Grand Alliance candidate, Chief Willie Obiano victory in the Anambra governorship election. |
Don't count on that. Nwanne, the Nigeria you see today is about to tame and emasculate the "born to rules." Its a stage by stage affair. After we're finished with taming and emasculation then we move on to the next.
Don't be too sure about that. You'll be surprised when both Buhari and GEJ refuse to contest in 2015. Either way, providence is on the side of Nigeria and Nigerians, millions of us are praying for devine intervention while working very hard to make the country better. Insha Allah, our prayers will be answered and those who do not wish the country well will be shamed. |
Onlytruth: Fear of what if I may ask.?It appears you are not as fed up as Sam_Ikenna. Can you people make up your minds already? Noone in the SE is gearing up for any vote like scotland, the last time I checked. Your leaders do not share your views neither do the vast majority of ordinary Igos in Igboland. mumu |
Nwanne m, we're leaving you and that's final. I'm going to say this to you and I want you to think long and hard about it. It is this - we're fed up.
Why don't you and your group leave right now, since you are fed up? What is stopping you from declaring your country rightway? Would it be fear? |
Just curious: My post on the "Ask a Russian" thread in the foreign affairs section was hidden and the spambot banned me from that section because my post was written in Russian. I was simply welcoming the Russian in his language. We write in Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, and other languages without being banned. Would the mods please unhide my post and unban ndu_chucks in that section. Thanks in advance |
Onlytruth: I spoke the truth then, and Ngige SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT with the deportation issue.Your flip flopping shows that you are an unprincipled supporter of Ngige's back then and today. What you call gaffes includes Ngige's membership in APC. You and your leaders do not know much about forming winning alliances and that is your bane. |
plaindealer: https://www.nairaland.com/965680/governor-peter-obi-defend-goverment/2Ewoooo, Onlytruth has been exposed. Eze, you know that you didn't have to lie. www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
truefact: Since you seemed to not to read the below statement, LET ME ASKED YOU ONE QUESTION.Please note that I respect everyone's personal opinion because I believe that it is their entitlement. The above is simply the opinion of one person and it is foolhardy to say it is the opinion of 'North" or 'South'. The statement I highlighted in my post on the other hand, contain facts which cannot be disputed. I expect you and the likes of Sam_Ikenna to address them truthfully. |
@Sam_Ikenna, your anger made you miss the most important aspect of Junaid's statements. I reproduce it here: In an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH, Mohammed said the conference would not solve the problems of corruption, illiteracy and poverty facing the country and noted that such national conferences had yielded negative results in countries such as Niger Republic, Benin Republic, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. How can any sane person disagre with the bolded above? May I ask you how you intend to solve the problems above in biafra, when your superiors all over Nigeria and in the SE in particular, have not yet been able to find viable solutions to date? I hope you do not run away from the question and expect you to tell us your proposed solution. Thanks. |
Abagworo: If Jonathan runs a free and fair election , then thereThe sad thing about the bolded affair is that, supposedly well educated and intelligent Igbos such as Sam_Ikenna and Onlytruth were willing to sell their souls and principles if only Ngige was prevented from winning the election. Their stance is based on tribalism, racism, and hatred of Yorubas who they believe are the owners of APC. Its quite shameful. |
nwanne m, Sam_Ikenna, please confirm that you want me to comment of this thread of yours by correcting the spelling of my username in the thread's title. Your laziness and carelessness is unbecoming. |
Onlytruth: ndu_chucks has ran away. lolI'll be back momentarily. In the meantime egbe ndi Abriba, piafuka gi isi. ode |
DerideGull: My people say good product sells itself. Why should anybody who is working so hard to eke out a living spare a valuable time to think about a useless country and its political structure?Well, the "useless country and its political structure" remains as such because coward children like you abandon it and run away, instead of working hard to make it the Pride of Africa. |
What are this man's crimes that the Brits were willing to put him on a private jet in a desperate attempt to deport him? Madam Stella, you have my support this time, for approving the denial of landing rights to the jet. God don catch the Brits. www.nairaland.com/attachments/229503_ROFLMAODog_gif3fa44b12f55ba64fc785c3a5794ba92e |
@OP, I'm not shocked at all. what would have been shocking is if 5% of Nairalanders (the privileged Nigerians) can answer all those questions correctly. This ignorance, along with tribalism, are what their leaders depend on, to continue to keep ra ping them and keep them in servitude. |
alex101: To those who insist on remaining in the north come 2015, (especially the Igbo), you must arm yourselves as much as you can. This is why I can't stand these bush men from the north, with this born to rule mentality,,,,I'm still wondering why Jonathan should be denied his right to run for office as a bonafide nigerian? If the north believe that their vote, couple with those of their concubine in the SW can deliver the presidency to them , then they need not be afraid. All these empty threats is becoming childish. So you, of all people have turned into a bigot? I am disappointed. The SE/SS have their Dokubo-Asari and others, SW have FFK and others, the North have Junaid and others. When you take an interview or pronouncement by any one of these folks as representative of the views of the region they come from, then I must say that you are a fool. Here is the Alex, who almost became Eze Ndigbo NL, making tribalist and hateful statements about a whole region because of one man's view - SMH |
Ngwakwe: Asari Dokubo is a council member of Supreme Council/Command on Islamic Affairs in charge Islamic Pilgrimages. Why do you need to speculate on the reason for his arrest, detention, and release, when Asari himself has told you and journalists that he was arrested over an allegation from Nigeria that he is a leader of Boko Haram? He also announced to the world that GEJ secured his release. Are you saying that asari was lying when he spoke with journalists? |
destino24: Dude, even the police can bring someone in without any evidence, for questioning and release the person within 48hrs if found innocent. Same happens everywhereWhy did it take the intervention of GEJ to get Asari released, if it was just routine questioning? Why did Asari have to run away from the Republic of Benin, a country he has lived in since 2008, right after his release, to Abuja? If these series of events sound like the result of routine arrest, then I must say you are quite naive. I don't understand why Asari's supporters like you do not get the fact that, the thug only takes care of his own pocket and does not care about you people. After riding and using you people and pretending to be fighting for your cause, he obtained fat contracts and money, but did he invest the proceeds in Ijaw land? Heck no, he dumped you people and went to Republic of Benin where he employed people and is purportedly building schools and Universities. Why is he not investing in Ijawland and help to train Ijaw people? You people need to use your God given brains. |
The Republic of Benin must have some evidence of Asari's links with Boko Haram before arresting him. Yet GEJ intervened on his behalf and secured his release. Asari went straight to Abuja to report to the President upon his return to Nigeria. hmmmm. May Azazi's soul RIP. |
That's my point. I don't have the time neither do I believe in your laws or institutions. They have been rigged to represent or over-represent your interests through outrageous allocation of members of the national assembly and other unconscionable quota system/federal character. Not to digress, Way before 1960 Ahmad Bello claimed Nigeria was his grandfather's estate. He stated before independence that "we're now ready to take over the country, rule her with iron fist. we will ruthlessly resist any change, use the minorities in the north as tools and never let them have a direction of their own, and use the south as a conquered territory." I might not have quoted him verbatim but the message still tallies with what he said. My point being that I have no faith in using your rigged system anymore because you and I know I have no chance of winning. Lets face it - 5 states of SE cannot out-vote 13 states of the core north in the national assembly -Not gonna happen, we know it. So its asymmetrical, and that's why for me to turn Ahmad Bello's dream into nightmare I have to use asymmetrical approach too. However, I applaud you for believing in the so-called laws even though I expect you to resist me and my likes violently if need be, after all who'll blame you for protecting Dan Fodio's estate. Perhaps I would do the same if I were in your shoes.
Nwanne m, I respect your opinion above and have no doubt that you do not believe in our laws and constitution. The realities which you continue to refuse to face is that majority of 170+ million Nigerians do not share your views as expressed here. Even in your country of residence, there are fringe groups who do not believe in their laws and constitution. These fringe groups, like the one you belong to, still believe that they are going to secede from the USA. In my opinion these groups suffer from Delusions of grandeur. I can see that the ghost of Sir Ahmadu Bello is still haunting you people, 50 years after you murdered him and his wife in cold blood. This is 2013, let go of the past and join hands with us to build this nation. If you do not benefit from the results of the ongoing nation building efforts, because you may be an old coot (like Mr. Gull), at least your children or grandchildren may benefit. |
Those beverages were destroyed on religious grounds in a secular state - that is not oneness. In the US, some places ban the sale of alcohol for reasons other than religion, and even at that a whole state does not impose the "dry" law. Besides even if we were to buy into the "guest" thing like you said, what about indigenous citizens of Kano who're not Muslims - are they guest too? Are they not entitled to liquor consumption? The reason core northern states are poo-pooing on our laws is because we let them get away with entrenched religious fanaticism for too long. But it will interest you to know that my generation will either cut them to size or pull the rug and watch them have their Arewa Republic, the home of the extremists and the land of the "Dry."
If you and your cohorts believe what you wrote above, you should go to court and work within our system for remedy. Enough of being cry babies. DerideGull: I really do not know how “Commerce Clause” is handled in Nigerian Constitution. However if there is such clause, there is not doubt Kano State ban on alcoholic beverages will run contrary to such section of the constitution.Go to court and fight it out or apply pressure on your representatives to act if you believe that Kano state violated your constitutional rights. I knew you belong to the lawless crew in Texas. If your private clubs in Bailey County sell Alcohol to you people, you and the club owners belong in jail. |
