You of all people should know the etymology of the word "Yamiri". The word was derived from the Igbo phrase "Nyem miri" (sic) which means "May I have some water" in Igbo.

That word was a term of endearment, used to refer to hard working Igbo traders who used the phrase in the markets up North, in the olden days, after working around the markets in search of business/customers.

They would ask friends for water e.t.c.......our Igbo brethren were referred to as Yamiri with love.

Many of you wayward youths have turned a lovely term to an abusive one, much like you turned Aboki, which means friend, into a racial slur.
