The Sultan is on point. Thousands of women, youths, and even Children are currently jailed and labelled Boko Haram as a result of gross human rights abuses by JTF. These sect members should be released immediately. Their release will mark the beginning of the isolation of the real terrorists who must be vaporized if they don't disavow violence and give up their weapons. |
Interpol and FBI need to arrest this man for questioning. What did he know and when did he know it? The shameless prophet of doom is using a tragic event for advertisement and self aggrandizement.May the souls of the dead RIP. |
Mallam El-Rufai should be appreciated and thanked for his role in building this city. kudos to you, buddy!!! |
Who is leading these people astray? Shouldn't it be obvious to their representatives that the request is dead on arrival? Few days ago, a bunch of them almost got killed because they followed Abati's money to Abuja, now this. This is becoming embarrassing. |
Creativity is usually not required to effectively criticize a failed program or process, for the failure is there for the person with the lowest possible IQ to identify. Similarly identifying Patriotism is not rocket science. I'm of the opinion that if you cannot honestly say that you are a true Patriot or know in your heart that you are not doing your best of being Patriotic, then you are part of the problem you are lamenting about. If you are not satisfied with yourself that you have done your personal best to do your bit in reducing corruption, you remain part of the problem. |
berem: 300 million naira cash? Lord have mercy! In a sane country, this so called General ought to be languishing in Jail by now. shaking my head....They steal from funds earmarked for JTF's fight against BH. It is in their best interest to keep the violence going so that they can continue to enrich themselves, no wonder they are opposed to amnesty. |
The reactions we see on this thread is exactly what the cowardly attack was designed to accomplish. The good news is that those empowered to find a solution with amnesty being one of the tools, are not deterred. There is no shaking ![]() RIP to the dead. |
Sibrah: Wow, the Kano state false population figure comes to mind once i read that part where they placed Lagos state second to Kano state.Don't come across as a dullard, my dear friend. nuff said |
eGuerrilla: Comrade ndu_chucks,This is the best I can do for now: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/hYNwvOPtoA4/default.jpg I think TIN wanted immediate credibility by fraudulently associating themselves with TI. The scheme has unfortunately backfired - too bad, some of their reports were spot on. |
eGuerrilla: In the past hour, I have reviewed a number of archived copies of the website and found nothing to substantiate the disclaimer issued by TI.Why is the Nigerian TI using the logo of the well known TI which has a presence in quite a few countries? |
It would be interesting to know who or which people are really behind this fraudulent organization. Maybe it is Boko Haram, the political Boko Haram Azazi (RIP) told us about. |
Enemies of progress cannot and must not win. This cowardly act if it actually took place, while horrendous, was not unexpected. This evil will be defeated and Nigerians must remain united especially at this crucial stage. Saboteurs will fail miserably. |
This is another case of poor reporting. These "leaders" belong to a group which represents a very small number of out of touch poor academics who are desperately seeking relevance. Only a fool would state that backing the government's amnesty program is equivalent to supporting a "diabolical group bent on destroying lives". Why stop at Buhari, why not announce that GEJ,the Sultan, and all other peace loving Nigerians who support the program are supporters of destruction of lives. Nonesense!!! ![]() |
Afam was arrested for the shady internet deals he did with one corrupt politician like dat. I've been told to keep hush on this issue, but this is classified information I am giving you. Do not let this info go anywhere outside this thread. You see, he was hired by the politician from Ebonyi to launder his image with propaganda on the internet to make it look like Ebonyi was working, but Afam tried to elope with the money to Ivory Coast and was promptly arrested. Ehh... True story.
@Ejiné, inasmuch as you shamefully decided to inform us that Afam was arrested, you should have at least provided the real reason for the arrest instead of making one up. Since the cat is out of the bag, click this link for the real story. |

pazienza: I believe that there was a census conducted by a british commissioner in the the 1960's that placed the southern nigerian population ahead of that of the north, and in the south, same census placed the eastern region population ahead of the west. I believe that same census was rejected by balewa, and a new fabricated census that increased the north's population, stagnated the west population and diminshed the eastern region population was then drafted. And ever since then, same fabricated census had been updated and thrown at our face.It is unfortunate that your believes are based on laziness and ignorance. May I suggest that you read up on the 2006 Census and note the constitution of the 37 member National Population Commission which conducted the census. I don't have time to educate dullards today. |
PointB: My guy, I think the irrational folk here is you. Normally, I don't pay heed to your silly propaganda. You appear favoured today cos of the passionate plea you made for contributions to this post, and the benefit of the extra time I have to spare. So enjoy the fun while it lasts. You continue to issue empty threats which puts your ignorance and lack of political sophistication on display for all to see. It appears as if you do not know that an Act of the National Assembly for the purpose of altering the provisions of the constitution and state boundaries,in particular, cannot be passed by either House of the National Assembly unless the proposal is approved by the votes of not less than four-fifths majority of all the members of each House, and also approved by resolution of the House of Assembly of not less than two-third of all States. That is a whopping 80% of all members of each house!!! Nwanne m, no amount of threats or empty chest beating will get you new states until you come out of the bush and learn to play the political game of negotiations and give and take politics. The immediate problem you have is that, you have nothing to offer to negotiate convince people to support your wish. I don't have time to educate you today but I'm sure you should have realized by now that you are not exactly operating from a position of strength. olodo |
Who committed the genocide, extremists among Boko Haram members or the wayward soldiers among JTF |
ikwere militant: so if north is not moving forward odas shoud not.state police no,pib no,snc no,resource control no,true fedralism no,state creation no.but coruption yes nepotism yes, mismanagement yes nd yet some fools frm d west will choose to aliey wit dm in d name of knowng too much let me see who will come here nd call gej a reterd aganno be ya fault,na OBJ wey give GEJ power, give you sef mouth to talk. Just hope that power never leaves the SS and that someone from the SS never leaves the office of the president. The day wey power go shift go East. West,or North, una go hear wen!! By dat time we go don get drones to smoke una out of the creeks. Ngwakwe: Can you elaborate the statement below if it means anything different from Regionalism which you said was also never advocated by others except Ohanaeze?I applauded Ohaneze for supporting the idea and still believe its the way to go. It is obvious that PDP and its agents like PointB are hell bent on maintaining the status quo and even increasing the number of states. I also support 100% resource control within state boundaries. Any minerals found more that 5 miles offshore to be controlled 100% by the federal government since those belong to all of us. |
PointB: In any case, my support for equal states per zone does not delimit in anyway my support for true fiscal federalism. But being the propagandist that you are, I expect you to suggest that both are mutually exclusive.Speaking from both sides of his mouth and telling listeners not to point it out ![]() It is obvious to all that more states do not support the idea of true federalism. We really need 6 states or less, be a big boy and admit it. |
Ngwakwe: We all know that this will not sell in the NASS hence the agitation for balance of the number of States per Region.Do you have any evidence that regionalism was ever discussed and rejected? The sad truth is that Ohaneze was the only group which made a meaningful submission to the committee regarding regionalism. Due to lack of interest by other interest groups, it was not even discussed.if you have any evidence to the contrary, please let's have it. |
PointB: By we people, let me assume you mean Igbos.I will not engage you in your awful generalizations which could be considered border line bigotry. In case you've already forgotten, the point is that true federalism and 100% resource control is best for us as a nation while proliferation of states directly work against true federalism. Why can't you simply support what is best for our collective interests? Who paid you off? I recall you clamoring for federalism a few months back. |
PointB: My guy, I think the irrational folk here is you. Normally, I don't pay heed to your silly propaganda. You appear favoured today cos of the passionate plea you made for contributions to this post, and the benefit of the extra time I have to spare. So enjoy the fun while it lasts.Nwanne m, why are you constantly in an illusional state of war when the civil war ended decades ago. Its time we started looking at the best interest of the country in these matters. True federalism and resource control should be our goal. Unfortunately, new states creation works against that, why can't you people look at the national interest for once? |
Zarian5: Shi inyamuri dama babban makiyin mune. Shi kuwa bayarrabe ko na makkah ne munafiki ne. Gabadaya ƴan kudu basa ƙaunar mu harda tsirarun naijadelta.@Zarian5,dege ina kake wannan hira, Wusasa? inyamuri ko bayarrabe, ko masu kamun kifi dege naijadelta, ba su jin hausa a nan. ![]() |
jmaine: Am now a trouble maker for highlighting an hilarious justification of your post...I don't need any benefit my brother, I'm pretty sure you understand the point I was making. come o, couldn't you find somebody's head to attach to your post, preferably in colour graphics? ![]() PointB: Sharrapeeeyah. It appears that your support and pressure on the committee were not good enough. By the way, no other member of the house will introduce additional provisions, the next step is an up or down vote. olodo I laughed at you stupidity to the point that if you were near me I would have said nyammiri (give me water) to you in Ibo so that I will refresh myself. |
jmaine: LWKMD. . . . .So this is your justification of a populated North, simply because people have better things to do than waste their time in the sun listening to one politicianThis post of yours is very disappointing and shows that you are a troublemaker. You know the point I was making yet you turned it into justification of the population of the North. Stop pretending to be a dummy, dummy! At the end of the next census,I wouldn't be surprised of the number of Reps and Senators from Northern region as a whole increases by 20 - 30% |
Ngwakwe: We want a Nigeria where Cow and Camel are part of our population for the purpose of subjugating another region of the Country. Why don't you stick with the topic? By the way, you may not want to have another census anytime soon because you may find out that the population figures for the Northern states, acoording to current census data, are grossly understated. The number of people who came to Buhari's Rallies in a single state alone, is more than the population many of your states. |
PointB: The importance of additional state(s) in the SE Zone cannot be overemphasized and I believe we haven't heard the last of this state creation issue. Here you go with your empty threats again. States creation will NOT be included in the list of items to be sent to states for votes and included in the next constitutional amendments. So tell us what else you plan to do about it besides empty noise making. One of your problems is that you people do not understand the political game. When Ohaneze made its submission to the constitutional review committee, you people did not support the group. The chairman of the constitutional review committee is from the SE yet you could not convince him to use his influence in your favour. Pretty soon you will resume your cry of marginalization. mtchweeeew |
Symphony007: What i really think the national assembly should focus on is granting full independence to local governments from state governours. State governours who involve themselves in local governments should be up for impeachment. The kind of humiliation local government chairmen recieve from governours, is something the governours will never tolerate from the president...once the rivers state governour suspended the mayor of port harcourt and a few others because they came late for a meeting with him, it's stupid and a constitutional mockery that a publically elected official embarrase publically elected official in such a way.If you read the article carefully, you would have noted that the Reps recommended autonomy for local and state governments and these Reps should be commended for that. The question is would state governors, who were not comfortable with any form of autonomy for the local governments and their Houses of Assembly, allow the matter to scale through when it is reverted for voting in their respected states. I suspect they will rig the votes as usual so that they can keep their powers. Lets hope two-thirds of the states will vote in support of this particular amendment. |
So una no think say this topic dey important? if na news about Fulani invasion, de page for don nearly reach 5. |
