Desola: And when it is confirmed that he is Nigerian? The point is, this apparent jubiliation by enemies of Nigeria including some Nigerians themselves, is very premature. Besides, there is nothing Nigerian about the gruesome act committed by this guy who was probably born and raised in England. By the way, the boy looks more like a twenty something or thirty something year old guy. Leave his parents out of this issue, the boy is old enough to take responsibility for his own actions. |
Who the hell vetted this twitter post which is a disgraceful attack on Nigerians? Your self esteems are so low that you'd accept such clap trap before any independent confirmation of the story. As far as I am concerned, the story was planted by enemies of Nigeria until the authorities tell us who the culprits are. All we can confirm is that one of the criminals has a very deep British accent. Lets not help our enemies. I hereby declare that the twitter entry was made by an impostor who is really a South African citizen. Lets see if you people would accept my theory with the same zeal you've shown so far. olodo |
The lazy oil bunkerers who have invested nothing in the development or exploration of oil in the ND region are the loudest noise makers who will be dealt with in due course. These ungrateful nuts have forgotten that their well being was once sustained by proceeds from groundnuts and cocoa. Frankly they can control 100% of new onshore resources discovered or buyout owners of existing blocks who obtained them legally. Offshore oil belongs to all of us. Shi kena |
SSS should have created this FB profile long ago. What took them this long. Oya start rounding them up. |
This story get as e be. I suspect the charade is another festival of gross human rights violation by the authorities. If the story is true, then probably 90% of the so-called BH members arrested were simply guilty of being youthful and muslim. SMH |
I believe politics section people like it like this and they enjoy it, as long as nobody abuse any other person mama or tribe, and yawa dey controlled ![]() https://25.media.tumblr.com/66662063cb2c0b58b740c045c131f86d/tumblr_mmc11nwSwx1sq38yao1_400.gif |
sexkillz: The less people respect me, the more effective I am. Most people will disagree with the opinion above. If your objective is to significantly reduce insults and bigotry, if you command respect, people will find it easier to comply with your admonitions, else what you'll have is unending catfights. Anyway good luck to you. Be wise, sir. |
This kind of catfight is not befitting of Mods. Mods need to earn the trust and respect of folks to be respected in return. I'm getting tired of these cat fights, you people are not kids I'm sure. |
No society has ever succeeded in legislating or successfully enforcing morality. We should focus on ridding our section of bigots and bigotry, but Mods need too cut people some slack and allow them to express themselves as long as such expression is not obscene. I'd recommend that Mods develop an amicable relationship with posters in this section, rather than the current adversarial one. The complaint section has now replaced important threads as the main source of entertainment in the politics section. Mods, biko let people express themselves, don't sweat the little stuff, worry about blatant bigotry instead. Mods need to show some wisdom and understand that behavior modification is seldom archieved by force. You need to earn the trust and respect of people. You all seem to be constantly fighting each other. You are dealing with Nigerians with big egos, massage the egos and achieve your goal. Fighting one poster or the other on a daily basis is getting old. P.S. When another opportunity opens up, make dayokanu, negro, obiagu, or Dede1 a Mod, and see the trick work like a charm. Is it not the same Abati, the chief critic ,who became the chief mouthpiece? ![]() |
If this story is true, I hope our brave military personnel perfect the operation of these drones ahead of 2015. These drones will be needed to root out wayward creek dwellers, jobless militants, and oil bunkerers who have already issued threats to cause yawa, once GEJ is democratically defeated. Heat sensing drones with eagle eyes, will be needed to smoke the rascals out of the creeks. |
May I request that posters resist the temptation of turning this thread into what is depicted below. https://25.media.tumblr.com/66662063cb2c0b58b740c045c131f86d/tumblr_mmc11nwSwx1sq38yao1_400.gif |
If I were the new mod, one of my first acts would have been, to have amnestied the following good contributors to the section: Onlytruth, Dudu_Negro, Alex101, Manny4life, 9ja-I-hail, if they are still banned. The goodwill gesture followed by the appropriate unspecified Mode action would not have gone unnoticed. |
sexkillz: I'm a Nigerian born to igbo speaking parents and completely raised in a yoruba speaking land. If I meet foreigners, I tell them I am Nigerian cos they do not understand what igbo or yoruba means.Son of a gun!! An apparently detrabalized mod, and a apparent proponent of one Nigeria. Welcome aboard. |
Ngwakwe: When Ikenna started hitting the South East Nairalanders with bans, most South West Forumites were cheering him including Nduchuks by saying deal with Onlytruth, Dede1, Alex101, Manny4life, Biafra-reps, 9ja-I-hail etc.I thought you were a bit smarter than this post shows. Where were you when I was appealing that Dede1's userid be unbanned? Has Dede1's Fulani wife turned him into a bonafide Hausa man? BTW: I never jubiliated when Onlytruth was banned, the apparent jubiliation was in jest which you obviously did not understand. BTW: Please inform Onlytruth that all is clear and he can return. |
PointB: Ikenna has gone (for good or bad I could care). But the allegation against Mukina2 is valid, and remain. Coming from a fellow MOD it's even more compelling. There is nothing beloved about Mukina2 who enjoys having various ethnic groups go at each others throat by promoting to frontpage threads whose only objective is mudslinging and bigotry.Oga, you are not privy to the communications between the Supermod and the subject. OAM4J told us that the subject was warned to follow moderators' guidelines and he did not meet expectations in that regard. So with due respect, STFU You seem to have malice against Mukina2 and that malice is beclouding your better judgement. Mods: I suggest that, as soon as you detect that a thread is going out of hand, because of boiling tempers, lock the thread temporarily and let the warring parties cool off for about 30 minutes. Methinks this will work like a charm and reduce unnecessary banning and hiding of posts. My 2 kobo |
Looks like I spoke a minute too late. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |
Ikenna351: I would like you to address that question to Mukina2. Let her come and tell you why she has been fueling or encouraging hatred among tribes in Politics section by unbanning some members here that i ban, who have persistently have been insulting other members and their tribes with all form of derogatory names.Ikenna, you have once again thrown decorum out of the window, the same way you brought your grievance against OAM4J to the public arena instead of taking it to your moderator section. The Supermod is your superior and has every right to undo any error on your part. If you have been banning people for offenses which do not warrant a ban, then the supermod is within her right to correct your wrongful act. You of all people should understand why rules must be followed. There is no sensible reason for you to accuse a beloved Supermod of fueling tribalism, stop whining and take correction as a man. We don't need you to expose your dirty laundry here - take it to the Admin. Grow up and wise up. |
I'm afraid Nigeria armed forces have no defense for gorilla warfare. Things may get worse before they get better |
Security should be very tight to discourage kidnappers from going after Achebe's body for Billion naira ransom. RIP |
Sorry to say that this man GEJ, as brought nothing but bad luck and omen to Nigeria ever since he decided to break the gentleman's agreement which had been established to maintain a very delicate peace in Nigeria. If we don't remove this incompetent man, who is surounded by a bunch of incompetent and thieving advisers, from office come 2015 or earlier, I'm afraid we may end up reducing our population by millions, quicker than a crab blinks an eye. |
bayooooooo: Competence is the key word, not religion. Who cares what you worship? Gbawe: Religion does not feed or employ anyone and I don't know why OP chose to whip up sentiments about the religious background of Fashola's choice when what was enunciated in the article he supplied makes issues crystal clear. To disagree with the above posts would be to deny the important truth about the matter. The more important truth however, is that many western nations have used the quotes above as justification for racial and gender discrimination. These countries ended up passing laws against such discrimination. Those who are asking the question posed by the OP should not be summarily dismissed. The real question is; is there a systematic discrimination based on religion incorporated into the political system of Lagos state? It most certainly appears so, on its face, as far as governoship is concerned. |
double post |
This is quite interesting. In an ideal situation, it is easy to say that religion does not matter, but we all know that there is nothing ideal about the Nigerian condition. Nigerians will support politicians who have performed better than their underperforming counterparts, be they governors, senators, or presidents, as long as the performing poitician has shown some progress. This is the reason why the likes of Ibori enjoyed the support of his people despite the fact that he robbed them blind. His people will quickly tell you that Ibori's achievements are there for all to see. What nonsense. Things to ponder: SW leaders have been talking about these items as part of the plan for regional integration of the SW, Ogbeni Aregbesola may emerge as the successor to Jagaban Borgu, Tinubu, as the next SW leader. To this end Aregbe has been preaching to those who listen closely to him. (1)He is calling for "Regional Integration" where all of the south west act as a single political and economic entity. (2)He wants all state governments in the SW to adopt his plan for regional integration and establish Ministries for Regional Integration. (3)In this new integrated SW, Lagos will be the economic nerve center. This plan is apparently itemized in his so-called green book, a document which some say is patterned after Ghaddafi's Green Book. Why is this document a secret document? If someone has the document, lets have a link to it. What kind of leaders will have a grand plan that is a secret to its constituents? SMH The fact that this document is a 'secret' enables critics to claim that it is part of a plan to Islamize the SW since a majority of the SW governors(past and present) including Tinubu are muslims. |
It is unwise to pay any attention to the rantings of a ND ant, so to speak. Our people talk say: Kunkuru ya so dambe, ba shi da yasa, meaning "the tortoise wishes to fight with his fists, but he has no fingers" rendering his shakara, impotent wrath. nuff said |
ACM10: @Seun,Let me try to help you cry babies out a bit. The reason why ibo cannot be programatically edited and changed to igbo was provided by the oga at the top as follows: Seun: We cannot auto-correct ibo to Igbo even if we wanted to. The term was in common use historically, and as a result, many urls have the term "ibo" in them. Such urls will be broken if we correct "ibo" to "igbo" using our word censorship filter, and that will not help the Igbo cause. Here's an example of such a link: www.africaguide.com/culture/tribes/ibo.htm |
Obiagu1: Do you mean the way Ijaws have taken the bull by the horn and dancing to the same tune as you guys with violence, threats and counter threats? I guess we still have a long way to go.That was a cheap shot at the Ijaws. You people need to learn to get along with your neighbors and earn their respect and votes instead of running around directing snide remarks at them. Stop pretending to be a dummy, you know what I am talking about. Come out of the bush and learn how to participate in democracy. |
Obiagu1: Good you are in a good mood this morning. She must have been wonderful last nightWhy do you people continue to find creative ways to whine instead of taking the bull by its horns and defeating your political enemies by playing by the rules? Your definition of "NAIRA" is pitiful. Nobody go give una free Presidential ticket, learn to build meaningful coalitions first. olodo |
