@Kwenu, Happy New Year, Please you need to visit the Ministries of education and foreign affairs with your certificate(s). Then proceed to the Czech Embassy,Abuja. The final nostrification is done in CZ with the help of your university.I hope this helps.

Czech Republic is good for studies(quality education) but there are little or no jobs for foreign students. The language is a major drawback.Cost of living is quite moderate compared to other European countries and the standard of living is high.

Application for studies 2012/2013 is ongoing in most of the schools. Feel free to contact the admission officer(s) of the school(s) of your choice.

Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Update: Impasse Would Soon Be Resolved – Sambo by nedostic: 10:44am On Jan 14, 2012
Its mind boggling to hear government officials saying that a cabal is behind the illicit gains in the fuel subsidy.

I suspect a foul game along the line,a government that is people and constitutionally driven ought to prosecute the so called cabals.Haba! lets call a spade a spade. Methinks the government is not doing enough in the combat of corruption. Its time we redefined a new Nigeria that is egalitarian driven and a country where the ethos of the land are respected by all and sundry.

I have utmost respect for the President and I want him to succeed but he has got to re-align some of his key policies to the needs of the Nigerian mass.More so, he has to deal decisively with the spate of insecurity in the Northern part of the country.

Nigerians are not entirely against fuel subsidy removal but this policy must have a human face and there is need to bring to book those so called 'dirty players' in the oil sector. The president must not care so much on whose ox is gored in the anti-corruption crusade if he wants his name to be written in the sands of time.

I have high hopes that the ongoing strike would definitely come to an end today. Nigerians are yearning for good governance and we want results as well.
Politics / Re: Femi Falana & Funmi Iyanda On Fuel Subsidy Removal - Channels TV by nedostic: 1:50pm On Jan 11, 2012
Femi Falana has impeccable knowledge of the workings of the Nigerian economy. He speaks distinctly with facts and figures and mixed with passion for his dearly beloved country-Nigeria.Kudos to him.He remains one of the most thorough-bred Nigerians I have come to know.I have utmost respect for the President but the policy of fuel subsidy removal seems to be ill-timed. The President and his team owe it to Nigerians to better the lots of Nigerians rather than aggravating the pains of Nigerians.Palliative measures and structures should be put in place before fuel subsidy removal. It sounds ludicrous to purchase 1600 mass transit buses for a population of 150m people.Haba? It is an insult on the sensibilities of Nigerians.
Politics / Re: National Assembly Summons Emergency Meeting Live by nedostic: 5:59pm On Jan 08, 2012
I believe the House of Reps are living in stark contrast with the reality of Nigerians. This issue of constituting committee to me is akin to mere waste of resources and time.

Nigerians must stand up against fuel subsidy regardless of the the position of our representatives in this matter. The government should redirect her efforts to combating the menace of Boko Haram. As regards fighting corruption, the government at all levels seems to be paying lip service to it.Nigeria cannot go forward with what we have presently.I would always say that our bane as a nation is lack of  ethical cum moral values across all the strata of the entity called Nigeria. Our leaders owe it to us to live and act responsibly.

Please we all should mobilize ourselves against fuel subsidy removal and collectively enjoin the government in combating insecurity.
Religion / Re: Why Are Our Christian Leaders Quiet On This Fuel Subsidy Issue? by nedostic: 10:38pm On Jan 06, 2012
methinks that most of these so called MOG are insensitive to the needs of their flocks let alone caring for other Nigerian folks. It still beats my imagination to see MOG living in flamboyant lifestyle yet their flocks and other Nigerians are living in misery. Christianity is all about brotherly love which is demonstrative both in action and reaction and in tandem moderacy.

Nigerians must all stand up against fuel subsidy. This policy is anti-Nigerians and equally ill-timed.The President owes it to Nigerians to accede to the demands of Nigerians if his claims of servant-leader is anything to by.

I do not see the good of such an ill-timed policy, Nigeria as a country is fully dependent on fuel for survival in all sectors. The removal of fuel subsidy would have a vicious multiplier effect on the Nigeria economy and equally a conduit pipe for most political office holders to continually loot the treasury since the gains of the policy would be corned by the same political office holders.

The question the government of the day should be bothered about is the insecurity brouhaha in the Northern part of the country that is gradually creeping into the Southern part. I hope this does not spell doom to our economy since it would lead to outflow of FDIs and possibly heighten the tension in the over bloated labour market. It is glaring that we cannot move on as a country if we cannot collectively combat insecurity.

Nigerians are yearning for a change but I have always believed that change only comes by acting. Its time we all take our destiny into our hands and the impending strike action is one of the decent ways we can make our yearnings well known to the government of the day.

It is pertinent to separate religion from politics. My observation so far about Nigeria is that it is a country where hypocrisy thrives at the expense of religion. It is important we practise what we preach and try to live within the means of our income. l am beginning to think that the prosperity message though its inspirational in nature it lacks some core christian and societal values as it is presently preached on most pews by most of the so called MOG.

Prosperity sermon is good but it must be mixed with the basic biblical ingredients of moderacy, brotherly love, handwork, righteousness, passion for excellence, and other virtues.

God bless Nigerians!
Politics / Re: The Economist On Naija Fuel Subsidies by nedostic: 8:15pm On Jan 04, 2012
@profosahon, your analysis says it all. removal of oil subsidy is a suicidal attempt on the Nigerian economy knowing fully well the nature of our mono-product economy. Methinks the removal of oil subsidy can be likened to cutting off social security schemes  of citizens of the western world. More so, the timing was ill-advised,I believe the Jonathan Gooodluck led-government should first tackle the issue of security and fight the good fight of abating corruption amongst political office holders likewise the civil service.

Oil subsidy removal would do us no good for the now, our basic problem has to do with profligacy of financial resources by government personnel. I wonder how much monies various governments have sunk into our refineries yet no turn around. NNPC has remained unaccountable to Nigerians likewise other governmental agencies.

The president and his advisers must be strategic and empathetic as well. There is a need for policy reversal and the government should listen more to the yearnings of the masses. Vox Populi Vox Dei!

The president owe it to us to deliver on his campaign promises. I believe he needs our support but not with this type of harsh policy.

@last poster, you have got to pay your school fees as soon as you secure your admission. You can speak to the appropriate authorities in the schools you might be interested in as regards payment of tuition
Travel / Re: Offer Of Advice For Interest In Studying In Czech by nedostic: 9:37pm On Dec 14, 2011
@ the last two posters, getting visa for study purpose in CZ is quite competitive knowing fully well that CZ is a schengen country.

Anyway, I believe with the right documentations and attitude during VISA interview one can still get it. Its really crazy with way most of these foreign embassies deny us visa.

Anyway, the problem is no so far-fetched, the Nigerian government to me seems to be the major problem. Our government is highly insensitive to the plight of Nigerians generally let alone VISA seekers. I must advise anyone who is coming here to study to please have a bank account in your own name, pay tuition fees if its a tuition based programme, transcribe your docs into czech(you can do it Nigeria or so,this you can find out from the embassy website),have a VISA/MASTER card also a reasonable amount of money in your bank account. Please do not buy insurance policy from CZ until your visa is approved.

Please feel free to check the embassy website for other key requirements.

Finally, prior to going for the VISA interview do try to inform the school authorities to write to the embassy in Nigeria. This might work in your favor. Also note that it takes at least two(2) months for VISA issuance and everything is done here in CZ.Never give money to any one mostly especially for study visa.Do it yourself and be very bold on the day of interview. You need to be a big talker and give the consular officer(s) the benefit of doubt that you do be coming back to Naija after studies and even during hols if possible.

Let me reiterate once again that life in CZ is moderate in terms of living expenses but there are limited job opportunities and its pretty challenging for foreign students to get jobs. It is advisable to have at least 300k as living expense prior to your arrival to keep you afloat for some months.I might not be right with the figures because our consumption patterns differ from one another.

Wishing everyone Merry Xmas in advance!

I am aware of Czech University of Life Sciences,Prague. The average tuition fees is like 2,00EUR per session. The subsequent session you pay like 100K in naira wise. Please visit www.univ.cc and click on Czech Republic universities for more info on any university website you might want to visit. You can equally use other means to explore for schools in Czech. Thanks. I hope this info helps as well.

Study in Czech Language is free for all courses. I am fully aware that Masters in ITS, at CTU,Prague is tuition free and it is conducted in English Language. Charles University is definitely expensive and you are free to explore CULS,Prague because the school has affordable Master's programmes in English. I would not advise anyone to study in the private universities because they are quite expensive but if you have the resources you can try it because admission process is less tedious compared to state universities. Please feel free to search out Czech schools on www.univ.cc
I am equally aware that the government of Czech gives out scholarship to Nigerian students, you can contact the Czech Embassy in Abuja for more details. I guess the deadline for submission is January 15,2012.

I would like to give back to this forum. Nairaland to me has been quite supportive to thousands of Nigerians including my humble self. I have equally had a bad experience with impostors on this forum. I have been duped by someone on this forum who promised to help out with visa. As a matter of fact I would kindly advise anyone who wants to travel out of Nigeria not to give anyone money for VISA purpose. Please go straight to the embassy for VISA. It is either you are given or declined. I have equally discovered that everywhere comes with various challenges. There is no place that is an eldorado and you can always make it anywhere given the right mentality. I would equally be very frank on this forum to say that alot of Nigerians actually travel out for various reasons but I strongly believe most Nigerian youths travel out in order to seek better opportunities. It is so crazy in Nigeria to see so many thousands of graduates strolling on the major cities of Nigeria without jobs. The government is hapless and so is the private sector.

I am opening this thread for strictly study purpose in Czech. Please I would not entertain any question on business visa or visitation visa. This thread is simply meant for prospective students to Czech Universities.

I would equally want to say that study here is intensive and very practical oriented. Czech schools are well rated globally. There are many programmes in English as well. There are some tuition free courses as well. Above all, study here is quite affordable. There is no job guarantee as well. As a matter of fact its pretty difficult to get a job but this does not mean that you cannot work while studying. The language is a big challenge as well but like I said earlier, you can have your tuition in English.

I am ready to respond to most of your questions at no cost.

Also note that, that admission for study next fall 2012 commences next month in some schools. Please feel free to browse more www.studyinczech.cz

, life is an opportunity to give back,

Sports / Re: CAF U23 Tourney: Nigeria Vs Senegal (1 - 2) On 29th November 2011 by nedostic: 9:39pm On Nov 30, 2011
I strongly believe that our coaches are not good enough. NFF equally has a lot of work to do. Its very obvious that our football administrators are only interested in the money aspect of football. Egauveon,Siasia,Amodu,Onigbinde,Chukwu,et al all belong to the same class. Siasia to me was hyped by the Nigerian Press simply because he won two silver medals with the junior sides. I believe a competent foreign coach who can act as a technical adviser to all the Nigerian teams would help in giving our football a facelift. Its a big shame that Eguaveon cannot qualify us to the London Olympics Game exactly the way Siasia messed us up. Our football is in a comatose state and I hope we can get it right soonest.I hope Keshi performs!

Religion / Value Re-orientaion: Panacea To Materialism by nedostic: 6:56pm On Nov 26, 2011
I believe as a country what we need is value re-orientation. Lets go back to the basics of our religious inclinations, Christianity is all about modesty, Yes its good to prosper but the underlying factor should be good success as the bible puts it, I believe as a nation, we would never get it right until we come out of hypocrisy and build our institutions on values, churches and mosques are being replicated in every nook and cranny yet so many Nigerians wallow in poverty, We have equally forgotten so soon that poverty is a socio-economic malady and not a spiritual problem as we are made to view it from the religious angle,

Most of our religious leaders are at fault because they have either failed to live right or to correct the wrong of the led. Religious teachings should be guided on sobriety, honesty,hard-work,love,sharing and reverence for God.

On a final note, we all need to devalue materialism and place higher premium on acting and doing right always,
Politics / Re: Patrick Obahiagbon On Removal Of Farida Waziri by nedostic: 6:29pm On Nov 26, 2011
He's a prolific speaker but he has to match his sayings with actions, While he was in the House,he was only known for grammar, I wonder how many bills he initiated, Nigerians need actionable personalities and not profound speakers, All the same, his views on autonomy must be well respected, Our institutional frameworks must be value driven,
Religion / Re: Are We A Bunch Of Religious Hypocrites? by nedostic: 8:53pm On Nov 17, 2011
This poster to me calls for sober reflection on every one's part. It should not be confrontational and also let us not be prejudice with any religion. To me, we all have a role to play in making the society a better place . The christian religion of which I am proud to belong teaches sobriety and this to me equally applies in other religious sects.

Religion being the opium of the people is good in all aspects. If we live by the tenets of it, we would be better off. Materialism as it is flaunted embellished in our society is a great disservice to the Nigerian society. It is equally pathetic to see some religious leaders living a pretentious lifestyle.

One thing that baffles me is the rise in private schools and higher institutions yet so many Nigerians cannot afford the means of going to these schools. I sincerely believe that no matter the excuse that quality education begets high tuition, schools belonging to religious sects must be made affordable to every Nigerian irrespective of tribe, religious inclination, sex, etc. My submission on this is hypocrisy at its peak. The missionaries offered free education to us. I wonder why we cannot offer this to ourselves? No excuse!

By and large, let us all wake up from hypocrisy and live within the tenets of our religious teachings. More so, let us balance out prayers with work, and apply faith as well. Faith is a necessary ingredient to life.It is the hope for a better tomorrow,
