Kc3000: Oh, I'm calm and very much on topic.you are off topic when you pervetly say yorubas incite hatred in nigeria. hatred for who? |
Kc3000: It is all part of the IGBO HARAM agenda that has pervaded the Nigerian psyche forever. On the rare occasion that an Igbo person ascends to a lofty position in Nigeria, all sorts pernicious tactics are deployed to rubbish his/her efforts. Which brings me to a more dangerous trend, which is the inclination of the Yoruba to incite hatred in Nigeria. So, a couple of supposedly deserving Yoruba officers were by-passed for promotion, and this automatically translates into Gen. Ihejirika executing some Igbo ploy, to the detriment of all other Nigerians. Nigerians beware, we can no longer afford to fall for this scam.calm down and focus on the topic. |
ndu_chucks, yes, ok you are on topic. ![]() ....There are three parallel governments running one sovereingty. 1. an elected constitutional president 2. an instituted council of barons 3. self-appointed disciples of righteousness all the various past administrations we have had in this country has had to struggle with the same problems facing Gej today. all of them, without an exception......were faced with the challenge of sharing the country with 2 and 3. some failed and some succeeded. i have no prediction for how Gej is going to finish his term and i dont believe anyone does. it is critical to inspect what is going on at the moment. to find what is going on, you look in the paradox......that which is not going on and there you will find the clues. i dont want to talk much. i will declare for you that Gej is a reincarnate of precisely what Zik was between 60 and 65........he is not ruling the nation, the nation is ruling him! so we must ask, who then is ruling the nation? in summary, there is a vacuum.......but there is also a shrouded mystery that acts as a deterrent, slowing down ambitious intrrests of those anxious to pull the plug. ihejirika is doing the best he can.....working subtly and against any perversion to label or stamp him negatively and in tie to biafra or igbo. he wants to be seen as a nigerian, not as an igbo. his footprints in maiduguri attests to this. if he maintains a clean perception then he will achieve that. it is crucial! with a positive perception as a nigerian ihejirika could order action anywhere in nigeria and get support and backing of the people. unfortunately, his people back home are in his ears! they see him as a sell out. under his watch his people are discriminated against and even killed with impunity. his authority is disregarded and countered by his junior officers with no repercussion. massob and the SE are continously harassed by the army that he leads. many many things going on ..... he will soon be removed himself and replaced by another COAS. they count on him now to elevate and position igbo officers before a hausa or yoruba or any non-biafran sympathizer becomes COAS. what we witness now is the bidding of his people.....he is acting under pressure from their calculations. let me stop here. |
PointB: You guys should take it easy and understand what Eze Odumchi is trying to say. You need not to completely agree with him, but at the same time over-analyzing everything does not simply help anyone.....some of you are indeed "canned tunas". there are two kinds of southeasterner (1) an Igbo; (2) a yanmiri. the yanmiris among you are deaf and dummies, they missed the canned fish idiom. thry are locked down in their sardine coffin and their heart is refreshingly consoled in the hope of one day returning to the sea and reuniting in ojukwu and achebe biafran platoon. these class of people are a drag on the Igbos among you. you must change their vision, open their hearing and comfort their hearts and spirit. in short, you are their savior! |
^^^ true, your thread was on contemporary bini and you will notice i did not press further after you answered my inquiry in that respect. however, this thread on lagos is historical and the mention of the body marking is a relevant point in this instance. |
Paranoia has set it in certain quarters. Classy men know that a gentleman's agreement must be respected and honoured by default else shame and unfounded paranoia may have to be dealt with.
....stay on topic and no snoop animations. |
redsun: The most destructive elements in nigerian politics today are military men- obj,David mark, danjuma, ibb, bode George, just to name a few.so then we are in much bigger problem than favoritism if the fraternal bond between soldiers is absent. if on the play ground and in the barracks congregations are ethnically nucleus then it would indicate reluctance to comingle because of lack of trust. the boko haram situation doesnt help. mali is going to make situation worse and command structure and heirarchy could suffer. |
thanks for responding. are you saying that the posts are chained and if you hide a post chained to one i quoted for response the two inter-chained and my written response is all hidden? |
physics, is your zodiac sign gemini? the lagos throne, the crown, the sword, the oral history....everything is bini! how can you make a statement that no one claims lagos is bini? where is that coming from? the dynasties changed but the bini bloodline and ownership has not.. all the kings before akitoye were taken back to bini court for burial. shortly after the first deposition of akiyoye from the throne and when beecroft approached kosoko for partnership, the new king declared to him. that he was still awaiting his coronation staff from bini and untill he is in posession of ancestral authority he had no power to enter such proposal. on a second visit and after coronation, he flat out turned beecroft down. olojo, his (kosoko) first son returned back to his ancestral root. in bini where he later died but the children he left in lagos remained psrt of the olojo branch to the crown. ....and you know all these things but yet you made such statement in your response. in fact just to take it further there is a thread, "the way of the Bini/Edo", opened by bokohalal and in which i asked to know if binis had tattoos. he is not sure. well, the sons of lagos crown have chest markings. it is discontinued now but when i was little you could identify the elderly princes on eyo day when they came out in loin white wraps. they have vertical lines about 6 or so inches long, laid two on each breast. |
chosen04: Seems ACN is even worst than PDP.....not at all. acn believes in patiently using the channells of due process to resolve grievances. pdp believes in bribing its way and if that did not deliver result, they deploy their nurtw thugs to go and assassinate opponents. no respect for due pocess. their due process is on the streets. |
are you sure nigerian army is all these things you attribute? |
Odumchi, well spoken! many of your own brothers were suspicious and skeptical at the warmth recognition and reception that greeted the beginning of your ezeship and they questioned your validity to lead the "igbo cause". the difference between these doubters and the non-igbo well wishers is evidently on the biafran propaganda. die hard biafrans are afraid of change. there is a new world, a new nigeria, there is a new yoruba, a new hausa.......and by chineke there had better be a new igbo! nigeria is not a union of "for better for worse", these components will come apart one day in near future. it needs to be asked if igbo will be ready for that soon. you face a regional challenge unlike any of the other big two. beside, even if the country remain together forever, changes are needdd nonetheless. biafra, in substance or in idea is a liability, now or in future. you are very right, igbo existed before biafra. so why have your people substituted their igboness with bifranism? allow force and rebellion to overshadow deserving and desirable qualities of rich customs? i said too many times and im beginning to see, thankfully, that you are an advocate for transformative changes......there is just no need to ever say again that "igbo need a new brand". you are the drum major for that brand and it's a great day indeed for igbo. Great job Odumchi! |
redsun: More like it. These tribal conspirators are sick. Nobody was crying out before now that igbos were totally left out in the army.redsun, focus on topic. |
seun, im suggesting an improvement in the way we do business here. currently the modas actions in the forum , like hide a post or ban or change topic, are done anonymously and we have no communication indicating who did whatand why so we end up coming here to track the action and make a sense of it. it will be nice if you can have a template of minimum entries that the mod can use to give status of the action. the status must be stamped immediately following the action and in the respective thread where the encounter occurred. example: mod: Chief Negro action: hide post target :Dudu reason: explicit content application: discretion. (or if its a rule, then state rule violated) i believe a particular mod is hiding behind the anonymity to carry out own agenda. thats an abuse of trust. implement improvements please. |
whoever is hiding my posts in this thread need to stop. https://www.nairaland.com/1180803/panic-presidency-over-mounting-tension/11#14105569 if you feel you have legitimacy for the censorship then please educate me on the particular rule, otherwise dont repeat this error in your judgement. |
afam or oamj, do not censor unprovocative interaction. stop hiding my posts. they are not tribal, not bigoyry, i didnt cuss anyone, no trouble.....so why are you hiding my post? you want my trouble, correct? |
i didnt want to post on this thread but i have to now. @onlytruth, as a nation we've been here before. what holds the military together and unique from other facets of our nationalism is the espirit de corps of the soldiers and their discipline and fraternity across ethnic line. tthat bond is expected and it happens naturally because they have privileges and spoils that are not available to the civilian. that chain of brotherhood broke in 66. the spirit was further damaged and completely soiled by actions and inactions of ironsi., followed by the tipped promotions in favor of igbo and the subsequent loss of trust in military and politics. fast forward to today...similar settings! 1. civilian president of eastern origin and vp of northern origin 2. coas of eastern origin 3. promotions tipping towards igbo 4. recruitment and positioning of igbos in civil service and agencies 5. turmoil and state of emergency in wild wild NORTH, instead of wild wild WEST 6. we are deployed in MALI instead of CONGO ....i believe you got the picture! when these guys come home from Mali, fresh from confrontation they will test the government. grievances and perceptions need to be clean, not pregnant with accusations against igbo. ....wath your steps! |
calm down.... look, yoruba has a legitimate grievance regarding this off-balance management in the army. i agree there is similitude with 66......ironsi was chief of army when he became head of state. shortly after, a sleuth of officers were promoted. the list wss top heavy with igbo officers and few hausas but perhaps 1 yoruba. so yes you are right, you are about commit the atrocities of ironsi in a different landscape. rumor and chatter has nothing to do with it. your penchant for putting your buggywagon infront of the horse is a trip. . ...watch your steps! |
deepsight, professionalism and ethics is pertinent to one's practice and not an obligation in personal comfort. this man's action is personal comfort and not professional ptactice or conduct. |
seunny4lif: WAR......Let it been only on the net pls.....The armed force is not limited to only army, and it not only igbo, that is the commanding officer...We have the naval and airforce,so what is going on?Airforce, how many igbo dey head top office?Navy, how many igbo dey there in top office?Sometimes,i wonder which kind of people are these? All you people crying for war,hav u seen war before?Or did you think that becos u saw tom cusie or rambow shooting in the movie, that is all war is about?I can see too much of MBC action and MBC2 is really affecting some of you here.....Only the sound and shake of the gound of just one missle will make, some of u to kill you life....You better pray,we dont see war in nigeria becos my talking for what i have seen....I was not told, how war is been fought....I saw it with my own eye and i thank God my alive today...When the war was going, thank God the country has food reservation, people would have die of hungry.....seunflyy, thank you for your wisdom. |
Bliss4Lyfe: STANDARD, DAT WAS THE SAME WAY DEY INITIATED THE PROCESS FOR THE FIRST COUP IN NIGERIA AND DEN TURN AROUND TO REJOICE AT THE DISASTER THE COUNTRY DESCENDED INTO WITH COUNTER-COUP AND CIVIL WAR. DID NOT HEAR DEM COMPLAIN WHEN OBJ WAS GIVING DEM RANKS LEFT RIGHT AND CENTER.hey,...... stay off that. go back to the topic. |
