ABRAHAM'S BLESSING WHAT ABRAHAM BLESSING REALLY IS To bless means to empower to prosper and succeed. When a person is empowered to prosper and succeed, he will prosper and succeed in all of his endeavors no matter the oppositions and hinderances. Empowerment to prosper and succeed is spiritual in nature. The Blessing of Abraham is the empowerment to prosper and succeed that God placed on Abraham because he obeyed his voice. Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BLESSING AND THE BLESSINGS The Blessing(singular) is a spiritual empowerment to prosper and succeed. The blessings(plural) are all the good things of life that shows that a person is prosperous and successful. Genesis 28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. 28:2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother. 28:3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; 28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. Above we see Isaac transferring the most important thing he God from Abraham( the Blessing) to Jacob. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Here we see Bible telling us that the Gentiles have the Blessing of Abraham placed on them by default. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Here we see Bible saying the new creature is blessed with all spiritual blessings. THE EFFECT OF THE BLESSING ON THE LIFE OF ABRAHAM (a)Favour Genesis 12:14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. 12:15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. 12:16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels. Genesis 20:14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. 20:15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee. (b)Victory over enemies Genesis 14:15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people. 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. (c) Fruitfulness Genesis 21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. 21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. Genesis 25:1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. 25:2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. (d) Prosperity Genesis 24:34 And he said, I am Abraham's servant. 24:35 And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. (e) Greatness Genesis 24:34 And he said, I am Abraham's servant. 24:35 And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. THE EFFECT OF THE BLESSING ON THE LIFE OF ISAAC (a) Greatness Genesis 26:16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we. (b) Prosperity Genesis 26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 26:13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 26:14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. (c) Manifestation of God's presence Genesis 26:28 And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee; THE EFFECT OF THE BLESSING ON THE LIFE OF JACOB (a)Prosperity Genesis 30:40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle. 30:43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses. (b) Others blessed by association Genesis 30:27 And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake. 30:29 And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. 30:30 For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also? (c) Divine protection Genesis 31:24 And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad. Genesis 35:5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. THE NEW CREATION HAS UPON HIM THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. HOW TO MAKE THE BLESSING HAVE EFFECT ON YOUR LIFE (a) Believe in the Blessing. Let it be real to you, just as your name and sex is real to you, that the Blessing of Abraham is upon you. (b)Confess the blessings Confess daily that you are enjoying all the Good thing of life. That is faith. Faith calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. (c) Expect the blessings Constantly expect the good things of life to find their way into your life Genesis 28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. |

In human justice system, people who are not fit to be left roaming free in society are incarcerated in prisons. In the same way humans who are not fit to left roaming free in the spirit world are incarcerated in hell fire Hell fire was created for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: The only reason why humans will end up in hell fire is because after Adam fell, he became a child of the devil. All his offsprings became children of the devil. The primary reason why Jessus came was to save man from an impending hell fire. If a man, who is a child of the Devil, refused to accept Jesus as Lord and saviour and become a child of God; the only "correctional" facility that is due him is the one created for his father-Hell fire. People don't end up in hell because of sin.Yes, not Even because of fornication or murder; but because they did not accept Jesus as their Lord and savior. Jesus died for all sins- past, present and future. If you accept him you'll escape God's judgement. If you reject him you will face God's judgement. I will reiterate it. The only reason why people will end up in hell is because they rejected his offer of salvation. This means they will end up being incarcerated in the same "correctional facility" as their father |

CAPSLOCKED:Joshua 21:43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. 21:44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. 21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. |
Your interpretation of of the verse isn't correct. But your conclusion is correct. That scripture was talking about Jews,Gentiles, slave, free, man woman. It is however true that on the sonship scale we are equal s with Jesus. On the God-scale we are also equal with him. All God's children are Gods including Jesus. We are all a member of the God-kind. But on the authority scale we are not equals. The father has more authority than Jesus. Jesus being the first-born has more authority than other children of God. Feel free to ask me any question. |
God had been in existence before the beginning. He existed from eternity past, in a realm where time has no meaning. He alone was in existence. He could create anything he wanted. But inspite of that, he felt lonely. He was the only one of his kind. He wanted to have children. Children born out of loins.Children that are of his kind-the God kind. So, in the beginning he created the heavens and the earth. He created the third heaven to be his dwelling place. He created numerous angels to serve him. He created the earth to be the birth place of his children. For millions of years he kept creating beings in his image and his likeness. To have Dominion over all other creations. And, above all to be agent through which his children will be born. For some reasons, God wanted his children to have a physical body. To crown it all, God gave the being he had created a will so that they could choose to live for him and serve him of their own volition ; but sadly, time and time again, those beings went rogue, and God had to destroy them by sending a deluge upon the earth. Time and Time again God repeated the experiment of creating animals and a crown creation, testing the crown creation, deluging the earth at the failure of the crown creation to pass the test. No human know how many times God had performed the experiment, but in Genesis 1: 2 God decided to perform another version of the experiment. Please note that while verse 1 of Geneses tells us when God created the heavens and the earth. It made it clear that as at Geneses 1:2 the earth was already in existence though empty(void), formless, dark, and deluged. What is popularly called the story of the creation of the earth should more correctly called the story of the renovation of a previously damaged earth and the creation of new set of living being and the renovation of the first heaven(firmament). Let's look at it together from scriptures. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Insertion mine 1:2 And the earth was without form(formless), and void(empty); and darkness(dark) was upon the face of the deep(water). And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Verse 1 above tells us when the heavens and earth were created. Verse 2 tell so us that though the earth was fomless, empty, dark, and deluged; yet it was. It was already in existence before God said let there be light. Bible made it very clear that there were prehistoric being on the earth. Let's look at the scriptural proofs. PROOF 1: The command to replenish the earth. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. The word replenish means "to fill up again." Here God was clearly telling us there were prehistoric beings which previously populated the earth PROOF 2: Previous destruction of the earth with water. 2 Peter 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Peter tells us here that the previous world was destroyed by water. The current world is reserved for destruction by fire.Note that the word used here is "world" and not "earth". PROOF 3: Use of the word "dragon" in the Bible. Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. We all know that dragons are prehistoric animals. When during this particular experiment man too went rogue and God decided to destroy the world again with water, Noah found Grace in the sight of God and thus he made it unnecessarily for God to carry out a completely clean slate. In order to save mankind God had to give birth to a son without reference to human will. The son was destined to die for mankind so that God can have more children with reference to human will. When Jesus was born, that was the first time that God would know the joy of fatherhood. For the first time in his life another being was born after his kind. Thus came the end of God's loneliness. Every time a person gives his life to Christ and becomes born again, God feels the joy of fatherhood afresh, because another being had come to existence after God's kind. Every child of God is a God. He is a member of the God family. He is one of the God-kind. It is the destiny of every human being to be a child of God. The day you give your life to Christ is the day you find your destiny. After finding your destiny the next thing is to find your purpose and fulfil it. Your destiny in life is not to be a husband or wife; nor a farther or mother; nor an engineer or accountant or any of such. You are here for the purpose of finding your destiny and your purpose. Any other thing is trivial. If you have not done so, you need to give your life to Christ so that you can enter into your destiny. If you want to give your life to Christ follow the instructions below. https://www.nairaland.com/5890579/how-born-again |
I am a Nigerian. I live in Nigeria. I am the author of Corona virus. Contrary to popular beliefs, Corona virus was created in a virology lab in China by Chinese military. It's efficacacy was tested on a sample population in wuhan China, but unfortunately the test went out of hand and the virus spread to other nations of the world. The Chinese military never did mean it to spread to other nations of the world. While it is true that the Chinese physically made the virus. I spiritually created the circumstance that lead to the creation of the virus. I created the virus for the purpose of killing witches and their family members that are dedicated to witchcraft. Witches here refers to people who obtain power from evil spirits. People should not entertain any form of fear for the virus , especially if you are not a witch. If you are not a witch and you contract it, you will definitely recover. Watch out for my thread "How nairaland made me much more powerful" That will be the last thread that I will post in the Religious section.(I may change my mind though). In that thread I will detail the encounter I had with nairalanders who are witches and came at me because I claimed in my thread "How I learned to tackle demons in secondary school" that about thirty babalawos and about thirty Cele pastors lost their lives in a bid to hurt me. Please don't ask questions.I won't answer any. Just don't be afraid of the virus. It is harmless to the non-designated people. It will simple complete its course and die out |

There are four basic ways for born-again christians to prosper by God's word. They are: 1. By the Blessing of Abram 2. By the Blessing of the new creation 3. By the inheritance 4. By sowing and reaping. I shall be talking only on the first three because they are not yet popular in the body of Christ |

This piece teaches how a believer can walk by faith. FAITH DEFINED Three valid definitions of faith are shown here Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is a heart assuarance. ORIGIN OF FAITH Every child of God receives a measure of faith at the new birth. Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. The more a child of God hears God's word, the more his faith grows. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. WHAT IT MEANS TO WALK BY FAITH To walk by faith means to live every day based on the testimony of God's word rather than that of the five senses. It means to live every day based on the testimony of God's word rather that the testimony of the circumstances. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight ![]() 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. HOW TO WALK BY FAITH 1. Study the word of God regularly 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2. Meditate on the word of God regularly. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 3. Give verbal expression to your faith regularly. It is not enough to believe in your heart. It is also necessary to speak your faith with you mouth. 2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 4. Carry out actions that correspond with your faith James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 5. Be patient while your faith is busy creating what you spoke. Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. AMPLIFIED Hebrews 6:12 [12]In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises. Faith alone cannot inherit the promise. It takes faith and patience to inherit the promise. 6. Stand fast in faith To stand for fast in faith means to remain steadfast in faith inspite of contradictory sense evidence. Habakkuk 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight ![]() 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal That's it. How to walk by faith. |
The Bible says,"God is love." 1John 4:8 and, So he that walketh in love walketh in God. The Bible says,"And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1Cor13:13 What does it mean to walk in love. To walk in love is to walk in all the attributes of love as specified 1Cor13: 4-7. It is important for you to know that the focus of the love walk is your neighbour. To walk in love then means to walk in the attributes of love as specified in 2 Cor 13:4-7 towards your neighbour. Let's look at these attributes one after the other. AMPLIFIED 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 [4]Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. [5]It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. [6]It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. [7]Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. THE LOVE WALK EXPLAINED 4]Love endures long and is patient and kind; This means endure long with your neighbour and be patient and kind with your neithbour love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy This means do not be envious of you neighbour neither should you boil over with jealousy towards your neighbour , is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. This means do not be boastful nor vainglorious in your dealings with your neighbour, neither should you display yourself haughtily towards your neighbour [5]It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); This means do not be arrogant or inflated with pride in dealings with your neighbour. it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. This means do not be rude to your neighbour neither should you act in an unbecoming way to your neighbour. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; This means do not insist on your right or your own way in your dealings with your neighbour. it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; This means you should not be touchy nor fretful not resentful in your dealings with your neighbour it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. This means pay no attention to evil done to you by your neighbour nor to suffered wrong.Do not keep records of wrong doing. [6]It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Do not rejoice when your neighbour suffer injustice [7]Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, This means you should bear up under anything that comes your way. is ever ready to believe the best of every person, This means believe the best of your neighbour its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. This means you should not allow your hope to fade under all circumstances and you should endure everything without weakening. That's it. To walk in love is to walk in all of the above attributes in all your dealings with your neighbours. |
There are different kinds of prayers.Different situation require different kind of prayer. Prayer is not a one size-fits-all activity. The following scripture pinpoints four different kinds of prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1. Prayer of supplication: This is the kind of prayer you pray when you want to change a situation or when you need help. In this kind of prayer what you need do is to act some what like a lawyer. Use God's word to make a case before God. Simply put : use God's word to convincingly establish why the situation should be changed or why the help should be granted. You argue out, as if you are a lawyer trying to convince a judge. In this kind of prayer, you continue praying indefinitely until you have a note of success in your spirit. The note of success, which is a reply from God that you have successfully convinced him and that your supplication has succeeded, vary from person to person as every child of God is unique and God's dealings with his children vary from child to child depending on their spiritual and physical personality. For me, the note of success is joy bubbling out of my spirit. Yours is very likely to be different from this. As an example, we see Daniel supplicating for the nation of Isrealites who have been in bondage for seventy years. Daniel 9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: Daniel in his supplication proved to God that the proper thing to do is to bring deliverance Israelites in captivity in various nations of the world because he had seen it I'm scripture that he said their captivity would last only seventy years. God being a just God had no reason to allow the captivity to go on because the duration of their captivity had exceeded seventy years by Daniel's estimation which was not accurate. We see this in the scripture below. Daniel 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. 2.Prayer of faith: This is the kind of prayer you pray when you need definite items like a car, some money, a job, a house etc. In this kind of prayer you come to God with one scripture or more on which your request is based. Then you make your request in a sentence or two after which you believe that your prayer has been answered and you expect to see the answer in the sense realm soonest. In this kind of prayer you must start acting like someone who has received the answer. You must start living in the reality of the answer especially in your confession. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 3. Prayer of intersession : This is a kind of prayer you pray to a avert just judgement. It is a prayer you pray for someone who has done something deserving of unpalatable just judgement. In this kind of prayer the goal is to pray that God should allow mercy to prevail over judgement. In this kind of prayer what you need do is to act some what like a lawyer. Use God's word to make a case before God. Simply put : use God's word to convincingly establish why the person who is marked for unpalatable just judgement should be shown mercy. You argue out, as though you are a lawyer trying to convince a judge and citing relevance scriptures (instead of a constitution) . In this kind of prayer, you continue praying indefinitely until you have a note of success in your spirit. The note of success, which is a reply from God that you have successfully convinced him and that your supplication has succeeded, the note of success vary from person to person as every child of God is unique and God's dealings with his children vary from child to child depending on their spiritual and physical personality. For me, the note of success is joy bubbling out of my spirit. Yours is very likely to be different from this. Below we see an example of Moses interceding for the isrealites after they have committed the sin of creating a golden calf to worship. Exodus 32:7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 32:8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. The scripture above is a classic case of intercession. In his intercession, Moses gave God two cogent reasons why he should show the children of Israel mercy. Moses advanced that; first, if God destroy the children of Israel in his wrath, the Egyptians we conclude that it was because he was not powerful enough to bring them into the promise land that he destroyed them to cover his shame; second, his agreement with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would not have been kept. 4. Prayer of thanks giving : This a kind of prayer in which you offer thanks to God for having answered you prayer of supplication, intercession or faith. Or in which you offer thanks to God for anything. The scripture below throws more light. Hebrews 13:15 By him(Jesus) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. So that's it. Four types of scriptural prayer. |
THE REALITY OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds ![]() The above scriptures tell us that we are in a raging spiritual warfare. THE NATURE OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Scriptural spiritual warfare is the warfare of faith. It is not a fight to defeat an enemy. All enemies have been defeated by Jesus. It is a fight that involves using faith to enforce our victory in Christ JESUS. For instance, if you feel the symptom of sickness, if you order the sickness to go; then you just kick started spiritual warfare; because you now have to maintain your stance about the sickness by your faith. If you encounter a demon and ask it to leave in Jesus name, you just kick started spiritual warfare; because now you have to enforce his leaving by your faith. If you need a job and you ask it off the father, you just kick started spiritual warefare; because now you have to maintain that you have received the job by faith. Every time you carry out a spiritual activity that requires faith, you kickstart spiritual warfare; because you now have to war with you faith. YOUR STANCE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; All you need to do in spiritual warefare is to stand. Jesus has won all the victories all you need do is to stand fast in faith and maintain the forth by enforcing the victory. THE ARMOUR OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; The more of the truth you know the more prepared you are for spiritual warfar, because real spiritual warfare is a truth encounter. The enemy comes against you with lies and you counter his lies with the truth. The truth is God's word. John 17: 17 You must have for a breast plate RIGHTEOUSNESS consciousness. You should know for certain you are righteous. Exercise you faith in the word of God 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: You should have for an helmet the assurance of salvation. If you are not sure you are saved, you can't engage successfully in spiritual warfare. Stay offensive by constantly speaking the word of God. 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Do virtually all your praying in tongues. THE TWO KINDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS There are two kinds of righteousness: 1. Righteousness that comes by works Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 1:6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. The above scripture says Elizabeth and Zachariah we're righteous before God because the walked in all the commandments of God and we're blameless. They were declared righteous based on their works. Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: The scripture above says there is a righteousness which is of the law. One that is based on how well you keep the laws of God. Romans 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. Moses says in the above scripture that there is a righteousness based of keeping the law. 2. Righteousness that comes by faith Romans 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, The above scripture says Abraham merely believed God it was counted to him as righteousness. It further says that to him who does no good work but merely believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. It is also says that blessed is the man that unto whom God imputes righteousness apart from work. Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: The above scripture says there is a righteousness that has nothing to do with keeping laws.It says that righteousness is of faith. Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above) The above scripture says there is a righteousness which is of faith. Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: The above scripture says there is a righteousness that is of the faith of christ. It says it is a righteousness which is of God by faith. THE NEW CREATION IS RIGHTEOUS Bible say,"If any man be in Christ he is a new creation." 2 Cor 5: 17. The following scriptures shows that the new creation is righteous i.e every child of God is righteous. KJV Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. AMPLIFIED Ephesians 4:24 [24]And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. The above scripture says the new man was created righteous. Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; All believes have the righreousness which comes by faith which is received at the point of salvation. NEW TESTAMENT RIGHTEOUSNESS DEFINED Righteousness is defined below. 1. Righteousness as a standing Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Eph 2:12 tells us our condition before we came to be in Christ, hopeless, Godless and Covenantless. We had no right to stand before God. We had no right to stand in his presence. We had no ground to stand before God We had no ground to stand in his presence. We had not the ability to stand before God We had not the ability to stand in his presence. We had no rightstanding with God. In the old testament, if a man went into God's presence without right, God's glory would destroy him. Righteousness is the right to stand before God. Righteousness is the right to stand in his presence. Righteousness is the ground to stand before God. Righteousness is the ground to stand in his presence. Righteousness is the ability to stand before God. Righteousness is the ability to stand in his presence. Righteousness is right standing with God. It is the ability to stand before God without any sense of guilt or feeling of inferiority. It is the ability to stand before God with the same boldness and confidence with which Jesus would stand before God. That is righteousness. 2. Righteousness as a nature Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. The amplified version says," ...which like God is created in righteous and holiness of a truth." That tells us the new creature is like God and that he was created righteous and holy. If you tell a woman," How come you have a womb? How come you can take in and get pregnant? She will tell you,"I was created that way. It is my nature." The new creature was created righteous. He is righteous by nature. Let's look further at the scripture below. 2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. The scripture below says we are patakers of God's divine nature. So, we see then that righteousness is a nature. Righteousness is the rightness of nature. Righteousness is the right nature of God. What does it mean that righteousness is the right nature of God? It means the the inclinations of the new creation are always and only toward doing right. All that inclination truths will only be obvious if you can take the human spirit out of his body and detach him from his soul. But once the human spirit is attached to the soul, it appears not to be so because of influences of the unreknewed mind. Once the human spirit is attached to the body it appears even more so as if that is not so because of influences of an untrained body. But whether so or not, righteousness is the nature of the new creation. |

MAN IS A SPIRIT BEING Man is wholly and completely a spirit, just as God and angels are spirits. He has a soul and he lives in a physical body. He is nether a soul nor a body but completely a spirit. His soul consist of his will, his mind and his emotion. With his will he makes decisions. With his mind he thinks, analyses and reasons. With his emotion generates emotional feelings like love, anger, jealousy and hatred. His will is the seat of decision making. His mind is the seat of intellect. His emotion is the seat of emotional feelings. His body is simply a house or dwelling place for him. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God said " let us make man in our own image, after our likeness....Gen1: 26. This means God created man to look like him and function like him. God is a spirit(John 4: 24), so he created man a spirit. THE PART OF MAN THAT GOT BORN AGAIN IS THE SPIRIT The part of man that got born again is the real man- the spirit. Not his soul nor his house-the body. WHAT IT MEANS TO GET BORN AGAIN Jesus said except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. What does it mean to be born again? 1. To be born again means to be born of God. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 2. To be born again means to be born of God's spirit. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3. To be born again means to be born of God's word. 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE NEW BIRTH 2 Cor 5: 17 explains to us what Happens at the new birth. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. The Greek word translated new in the verses above is the word "kaino" which means a "new specie that never existed before and has no past". This means that the person who says the sinner's prayer and the person who emerged from the sinner's prayer are not one and the same. Note here that person here refers to the human spirit. Bible calls the person who prayed the sinner's prayer " our old man" . It further tells us that he got destroyed at the point of salvation or the new birth. Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Bible calls the person who emerged from the new birth "the new man". Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. This is what happens at the new birth, the old man is destroyed( he is a child of the devil and has the sin nature) a new man is created( he is a child of God and has God's nature) and placed in the old body and attached to the old soul. WE WERE BORN NOT CREATED The purpose for which the Holy Spirit inspired 2 Cor 5: 17 is to make us realise that an entirely new spirit, different from the one that inhabited our body , now inhabites our body at the new birth. The absolute and actual truth of the matter is that no new spirit was created but an entirely new spirit was born by God and attached to the old soul and placed in the old body. We are both born sons of God and not God's creation. Look at it from scriptures John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. KJV 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. AMPLIFIED 1 Peter 1:23 [23]You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God. The word translated "seed" in 1 Peter 1:23 is the Greek word "spora" which means reproductive seed. The reproductive seed in plants is the seed in the fruit while the reproductive seed in animals and humans is the sperm. The reproductive seed or sperm with which God reproduces children is his word. God's word is God's sperm. The scripture tells us that God gives birth to children through his sperm. THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN JESUS BIRTH AND OUR BIRTH. In the case of Jesus, God's word became an embryo in the womb of Mary. That is God's word became spirit, soul, and body. In our case God's word became only a spirit . The spirit was then attached to an existing soul and kept in an existing body. The point of the matter is that there is not much different between the birth of Jesus and our birth. JESUS is the word of God that became spirit, soul and body. We are the word if God that became spirit only. That makes it very clear that on the sonship scale we are equal to Jesus. |
Do ignore the distractions and follow the instructions above. |
Kobojunkie:Why is it difficult for you to pen it down here. If you know what Jesus said then pen it down here. Other wise you are just acting like a Pharisee. |
Kobojunkie:If you believe I am wrong why don't you pen down what you believe is the right approach. Stop acting like the Pharisee. They will not enter into the kingdom of God and they will not let others enter into. Stop being a clog in the wheel of progress. If you won't build then don't destroy. |
No, you have not done that. For Jesus was clear on how to become His follower. What you have helped do is create even more indoctrinated Christians, no closer to heaven than the rest of the sinners out there.[/quot |
