TronMaster:It has happened to me before and that is how I stopped it. See the thread below. https://www.nairaland.com/5388417/how-learned-how-tackle-demons |
Acrofab:This has happened to me before. The solution is simple. Get filled with the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pray in tongues about it for about an hour. Next destroy it from it's very root in English. Forget about it after the prayer. Believe it has been destroyed Pray in tongues for at least one-hour every day for the rest of your life. If for any reason you are unable to pray in tongue in a particular day, don't let it boarder you, pray the next day. Kobojunkie:God's word commands us to respect our elders. 1 Timothy 5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; Jesus was way way older than the scribes and Pharisees. He is the pre-existing word of God that became a human being. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. John 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Besides that, Jesus was the rightful heir to the throne of David; he was their king. 3 wise men from the East had announced at his birth that a child was born who is the king of the Jews Also, he was the Son of their (the Hebrew's) God. So, he had the right to rebuke the scribes and the Pharisees on many levels. |
new2012:Pastor Adeboye was only obeying the following scripture. Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 13:5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. |

Kobojunkie:Hear Paul as he declare his words as the words of God. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. |
What sort of Christian believes that the words of Paul are not the words of God. So all those epistles of Paul, peter, James , Jude and John are not God's word? |
Kobojunkie:Eating beyond one's fill is glutony.Drinking to the point of intoxication is drunkenness |
Kobojunkie:Did you see him eating and drinking for you to tell he was drunk? |
Kobojunkie:Show me a scripture that says he was drunk. |
Kobojunkie:So, the words of Paul are not the words of God. Why are they in the Bible? Bible says "holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the holy spirit." 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Paul spoke those words under the inspiration or moving of the holy Spirit and so it is the word of God. |
Minjim:Jesus never spoke in parable hundred percent percent of the time. In the above case he was definitely not speaking in parable. It will be obvious to you if you read the scripture in context. The contrast he struck with John was a valid contrast. John lived on wild locust and honey. Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. Mark 1:6 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; Luke 7:31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? 7:32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. |
Kobojunkie:Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! That Jesus ate and drank does not mean he was a glutton nor wine biber. |
Kobojunkie:That Jesus ate and drank does not mean he was a glutton nor wine biber. |
Kobojunkie:Jesus Christ was never drunk Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! That he was called a glutton and a winebibber doesnt mean he was one. The same people also once said he was demon possessed. Does that mean he was demon possessed? Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. 11:18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 11:19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. |
Terryishere:Intoxication is definitely a sin. 1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. |

The holy spirit inspired Paul to say the above. |

The summary of the whole matter is this: you are rich. You own vast and limitless inheritance. Never, ever, call yourself poor. Bill gates, and Dangote do not come anywhere close to where you are in wealth and affluence. Your wealth and riches are reserved safely in heaven for you. All you need to do is to transfer them from heaven to earth in order to enjoy them. All the good things of life belongs to you by right of inhertance. Don't ever try to be rich. You will woefully fail at it. You cant't become what you already are. Declare by faith that you are enjoying them now and your fauthd confession will be transformed to reality. |
THE INHERITANCE Bible tells us that in Christ we have obtained an inheritance. Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Bible further tells us that we are joint-heirs with christ. That is we jointly own all that Christ inherited from God. Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Bible tells us what Christ inherited from God his father. John 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. The above scripture tells us that Christ has inherited all that God has. That means we have inherited all that God has. The question then is this: "What does God have?" Without making any recourse to scriptures the answer to that question is: " All things, both visible and invisible, because God is the creator of all things" 1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; So, now we know we have inherited ALL THINGS. BOTH VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE. Bible says we are able to enjoy our share of the inhertance of the saints in light.See the following scriptures. Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Colossians 1:12 [12]and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12 [12]always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. Colossians 1:11 [11](11-12) May you be made strong with all the strength which comes from his glorious power, so that you may be able to endure everything with patience. And with joy give thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12 [12]and always thankful to the Father who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the Kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12 [12]Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the Light. The above scriptures says we are meet/qualified/fit to take our share of the inheritance. One translation renders it as " has given us the ability to enjoy our share of the inheritance. The next question is: where is our inhertance located? The answer is found in the scripture below 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, So, the inhertance is reserved In heven for us. Why is it reserved in heaven for us? Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: From the scripture above, it is for people preservation and safe keeping. So now the BIG question is,"How do we transfer the inheritance from heaven to earth?" The answer can be found in the scripture below: Proverbs 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him. So, the answer is this: by the confessions of your lips. Confess every blessed day and frequently as possible that you have obtained an inhertance in christ and that you are already enjoying it now. That is faith. Faith calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. |

THE BLESSING OF THE NEW CREATION Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: The above scripture says God has blessed us-the new creations- with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. Why are all those blessings spiritual? They are spiritual because the needed to exist in a form that makes them storable in the heavely places( places in heaven). "Why," you may ask,"were they stored in the heavenly places?" The answer is found in the scripture below. Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: The answer is that they are sored in spiritual form in places in heaven for the purpose of preservation and safe keeping. The BIG question is,"How do we transfer the blessings from the heaven places to the earthly places?" The answer can be found in the scripture below: Proverbs 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him. So, the answer is this: by the confessions of your lips. Confess every blessed day and frequently as possible that you have been blessed with every spiritual Blessing and that you are already enjoying them. That is faith. Faith calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. |
onlyfacts:You still failed to see my point. I wonder why. Dragons existed. Scientist have seen their fossils. Bible uses the animal dragon is a symbolic representation. This is Bible announcing that prehistoric animal exist. There is something called inference in comprehension. Even though the book of Revelation talks of dragon with seven heads, the inference is that a dragon with one head once existed. This is purely an issue of comprehension. For the records, I understand the symbolism in the book of Revelation , but it isn't my focus in this thread. I have you to thank, not withstanding, for pointing out that the word dragon exist in the book of Revelation only. I will remove the scriptural reference in deutoronoy. Apart from that intention of my post remains valid. |
onlyfacts:It's sad that you don't get what I am saying. What John saw in his vision was a dragon or an animal that is not of our time even though in that vision it represents the devil. The usage of the word dragon in the Bible is am implicit admission that prehistoric animal exist. John could have seen a serpent( another animal used to represent the devil). What John saw his vision was as animal not belonging to our time which he called dragon. It is left to the reader to realise that according to that vision's interpretation, the dragon represents the Devil. |
onlyfacts:Look the book of Revelation is a book with a lot of symbolism. The use of the word dragon in it is an example of symbolism. True very true. The word dragon was used because it represent an animal that does not belong to our time whether symbolism or not. |
onlyfacts:I did not read it anywhere. I knew by revelation. If you are not comfortable with that or find it unacceptable it is alright by me. In it's usage in the bible, the word dragon refers to an animal not belonging to our time. See below. Deuteronomy 32:33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. Nehemiah 2:13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. Job 30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. Psalms 44:19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. Psalms 74:13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Psalms 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Psalms 148:7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Isaiah 13:22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. Isaiah 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. Isaiah 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. Isaiah 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Isaiah 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? Jeremiah 9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant. Jeremiah 10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. Jeremiah 14:6 And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass. Jeremiah 49:33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it. Jeremiah 51:34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out. Micah 1:8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls. Malachi 1:3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. |

LordReed:You have made your choice. You should live with the consequences. Talk of pot talking back at the Potter. I am done talking with you. |
LordReed:The socks is on the other foot! This is not really about him sending people to hell, but about him frantically trying to save them from it. To create the existing offer of salvation it cost him his only begotten son. If you have kids you will know what that means. It is incredibly easy to accept Jesus as Lord and savior. It beats me why people won't |
